"Hi. The sign outside says you're hiring."
"Yes, we are hiring."
"So ..."
She raised an eyebrow staring at him. "..."
"..."
"..."
He places his hand over his head and scratches his hair. "Can I apply for a job?"
Lexa laughs as she watches the scene on the television in front of her. She threw some popcorn in her mouth and turned to see Hunter looking at her with narrowed eyes. "That wasn't even funny, why are you laughing?"
"It's funny! You just don't get it," said Lexa.
"How --"
"Shssh!"
Hunter turned back to the TV.
"Um ... It says here you're looking for an analyst ... That's not what was written in the front."
"That's all that is left. But you look like a strong and capable man, we have space for you if you're willing to help with opening jars and reaching the top shelves to grab some books."
"Guess I'll have to accept the role."
Hunter frowns. "What the hell are you even watching?!"
Lexa laughs. "It's getting even more interesting!"
"No, it's not! This is --" The dark-haired boy turned back to look at the television once again.
"Do you take her to be your lawfully wedded wife ..."
"Umm ... Did I miss something?" Hunter asked.
"Stop distracting me! If I get distracted I'll start talking about what happened earlier and if I start talking about what happened earlier I'll start saying my dad may have made the wrong choice sending that boy away," said Lexa.
Hunter thought back to what happened earlier; they had all rushed to the front door where Richard had already opened the door and answered the teenager's knocking.
"Good day sir, I came to tell you whatever your problem is, I am the answer to all of it," said the boy.
Richard raised his eyebrow. "Huh?"
"Tell me what you seek and I shall take you to it."
"Let me guess, I have to pay for it first," said Richard. The blue-eyed man takes out some cash from his wallet and hands it over to the boy. "Here. Go buy yourself something delicious," he said with a smile.
"You're giving me money man?" The boy shakes his head. "Tsk. Human." He turned and walked away from the house.
Hunter snapped back to reality and turned to Lexa. "Why do you think he made the wrong choice?" He asked.
"You don't think he did?" She asked.
"I can't blame Richard, the boy was rhyming every sentence," said Hunter.
"But did you hear what he said right before he left? ... 'Humans'. What do you think he meant by that?"
'I thought he was just trying to rhyme something with 'man'.'
"No idea. You missed game night," said Hunter.
"Game night is not a thing," said Lexa. "Also I was busy talking with Joe, remember?"
"Yeah. What was that about? Did you finally accept his love? Would you two sail into the sunset?!"
"Ew, and no. I told him I'm not interested in dating him or any other mystic," said the yellow-eyed girl.
"How did he take it?"
"Surprisingly calm. He said I shouldn't blame him if he continues trying."
"You can't really blame a guy for trying."
"As long as there's nothing weird or creepy involved; I agree." Hunter turned to the television. "Your show ... Looks like like it's about their kids now," he said.
"That's actually their grandkids," she replied. "... We missed so much."

"A very good day to you and welcome to another Guardians meeting. Yesterday we talked about Pepi and what he has been doing in the Met. I'm glad to report two brave guardians, Alice and Hunter who yesterday, agreed to sneak onto Pepi's yacht did so successfully and have learned so much about Pepi's plan. Pepi is planning to move something huge tonight and we are sure he is moving the people he's been kidnapping all over River Pot," said Richard. "We are going to stop that plan!" He declared. "We are going to stop the plan and this is exactly how we're going to do it ..."

"I have eyes on the truck," said Oliver, he had a device in his ear he was using to communicate with the other Sprite Guardians. "It's headed for Spoon Street."
"That's the wrong location," said Richard. "We need that truck at Plate Avenue. Team 2, create a diversion," the leader of the Sprite Guardians instructed through his communication device.
The truck driver quickly hits the brakes as the cars in front of him suddenly stop. "Why have we stopped?" The guy in the seat next to him asked.
"For fun, Brett. Look in front of you, stupid! Why did you think I stopped?"
The man named Brett looked through the front glass to see the traffic in front of them. "No need to call me stupid, Gregg. My mind was just elsewhere."
"Whatever. The boss would kill us if we didn't deliver the goods in thirty minutes," said Gregg.
"If only there was something we can do about it."
They heard a knock on the window, they turned to see a girl with ginger hair and yellow eyes wearing a smile on her face. "Hi! Are you looking to get out of this annoying traffic? Well, look no further than Shortcut Alley. Shortcut Alley would lead you straight through Plate Avenue which you can use to get to Billing in under fifteen minutes. Which means you can get to your location in half the time," she said.
"Whoa, Gregg! This is exactly what we needed," said Brett.
"Yeah. Let me back up a bit so I can go into the alley. Thank you, kid," he said to the girl who only nodded and pressed the device in her ear as they drove away. "Sending the truck your way," she said.
"Good job Alexandra," said Richard.
The truck driver continued towards Shortcut Alley before heading for Billing but was pulled over by a police car.
"Shit! The Boss said this was going to happen," said Gregg. "We're so close. We can't get stopped now."
"Step on the gas!" Brett urged. Gregg looked in the mirror to look at the cops. There were two of them; one of them wore round glasses and was seated in the car while the other one who was big and buff had a shaved head and approached the truck slowly. He tapped on the glass and gestured for the driver to roll it down.
"Step on the gas!" said Brett. "Don't roll down the window!" He exclaimed.
Gregg sighs before rolling down the window. "Sir, do you know how fast you were going?"
"Gregg!" said Brett.
Gregg shakes his head. "No idea sir, I don't believe in numbers," he said.
"You don't believe in -" the officer nods. "Just how many drinks have you had?" He asked.
"I'm a teetotaler," Gregg replied.
The officer looked at the truck. "What's in the back?"
"Goods."
The officer nods. "Sir, I'll need you both to step out of the truck."
Gregg sighed and cussed under his breath. He stepped on the gas and the car sped out of the officer.
"We've got a runner!" The officer said into his communication device. "I've always wanted to say that."
"Thank you, Thomas," said Richard. "Change of plans; Team 5 prepare to intercept!"
Yui places her hand over her ears as the leader of the Sprite Guardians informs her of the change of plans through her communication device.
Yui turns to Hunter who was crouching next to her. The duo were on the rooftop of a tall building looking out for the truck.
"You see it?" Yui asked.
[It's over there, around two hundred kilometers away]
Hunter stands upright. "There," he pointed.
"I think I see it," said Yui.
Hunter nods before running towards the edge of the roof and leaping off.
Meanwhile, inside the truck, Gregg and Brett were arguing.
"What did you do?" Brett panicked.
"What do you mean what did I do? You were the one that asked me to step on the gas!" said Gregg.
"I also said Hit Row are going to be one of the greatest teams in all of sports entertainment; I talk a lot of crap!" He exclaimed. "The boss is so going to kill us. This is all your fault and I ain't talking crap."
"Shut your mouth up before I shut it for you!"
"Why would you lis --" Brett catches something flying towards them. "Look out!" He warned before turning away bracing himself for the impact and the glass shattering but it never came. He would have sworn that he saw through the corner of his eye, a green circle appeared in front of the 'thing' flying towards them then all of a sudden that same 'thing' was inside the truck.
Brett looked in shock as he saw it was a person with dark hair and teal-green eyes. "Hi!" He smiled. "Can you stop the truck, please?" He asked nicely.
Brett reached for the compartment to grab a gun but Hunter caught sight of him before he did, the sprite kicked him in the side of the head before he reached the gun and Brett flew out of the car and onto the road.
Gregg quickly hits the brakes, stopping the vehicle before throwing his hands in the air. "Step out of the car," said Hunter.
Gregg nods and does as he is asked, walking out of the car with the sprite behind him.
The other sprites had surrounded the truck at this point and the veterans made sure to dispel the crowd that was starting to form.
"Move along, nothing to see here." Hunter heard one of them say.
"Way to make the rest of useless," said Petra.
"I thought you were the one that created the traffic in Spoon Street," he replied.
"No, that was John, Alex, Meghan, and some of the veterans. I did fuck all," said Petra.
Richard made his way to the back of the truck and pulled it open. The sprite's brows rocket into his hairline as he finds it empty except for a huge box in there.
Richard's eyebrows furrowed as he opened the box. "What the hell am I looking at?!" He frowned.
"What is it?" Alice asked moving to see what was in the back of the truck. The blonde sprite was expecting to see the missing people but to her surprise, there was a huge cake there.
"That's the cake for Mr. Pepi's wedding," said Gregg. "He's getting married tonight."
