Anthonette ran the sword up her chin but nothing happened. She kept trying to pierce her flesh over and over again but her skin felt like stone. Ur didn't even make a scratch.
She dropped the sword almost immediately, the Maid and Damon stared at her in silence.
Anthonette was now scared. She wanted to jump off the balcony more than ever to test her new theory. In an instant she ran past Damon and the maid as they trailed behind her.
As she ran she wanted to vomit. Tears stroll down her cheek and even when her heart ached she hoped that her theory wasn't true.
The poison did not only take 10 years away from her life but it also made her immune to death, she can only hope that Damon's sword had a protective spell, that's why she couldn't kill herself.
"She's running to the balcony.." what was just a duo became a group of eight people chasing after Anthonette. Her eyes found the entrance to the Balcony, although she was fast she pushed herself further.
She bolted out the Balcony as the evening breeze splashes across her face. She holds the Balcony ignoring the view, she quickly lifted herself sticking a leg out.
"Anthonette..." Her eyes were focused over the edge of the Balcony, she ignored Eden's call.
"Haven't I been a good husband ? What did I do to deserve this ? How much do you need to see before you realize I did what I did to protect you. Because I love you." Slow and steady her breathing returned to it's pace.
She looked around the balcony, she was surrounded. In this situation or in the movies the one over the edge doesn't want to jump and threatens to reach a negotiation.
"Anthonette, please get down from there." Everyone pitied the Emperor at this point well except for Anthonette.
"You're lying to me. I don't know what it's about but I feel that way. I don't know if it's about being asleep for ten years or about us being in love. It could be how I gave you consent but I don't know Eden." She looks over the edge again. "Jumping from there won't reveal the truth."
"That's where you're wrong. It will if I jump from here and I don't break my neck at least, I'll conclude that every single thing you ever told me are lies." Anthonette lifts herself up as her back faces the edge.
"Do something..." The Emperor yelled as some of the guards exit the premises. They might have wanted to catch her if she falls.
"If you really love me like you claim then let me die..." She pushes herself over the edge, the only sight she caught was that of Eden trying to latch on to her before she fell.
The sound of a body hitting the hard floor was heard. Anthonette stared at the sky and the tear she noticed earlier suddenly grew bigger. She wondered if she was the only one seeing the torn purple sky.
She slowly get up and her gaze fell to Eden who wore an angry stare, a smile appeared on her face as she got up. She could hear the guards making their way, she doubt she could escape if she tried but although her theory was tested she wasn't disappointed.
She came to a conclusion, she was stuck in some fucked up kind of lucid dream. The sky cracked even more solidifying her belief.
"So the only way to escape this was to differ her scenario from reality." Anthonette muttered to herself until she was snuck up from behind with a dagger pointing against her throat.
This must be the infiltrator Damon talked about.
She found it funny in a way.
"Why are you laug..." Anthonette elbowed her captor at his weak spot, getting a hold on his dagger and slashing it across his face.
Her violet eyes glowed with a menacing glare. If she couldn't die she would kill to escape.
The captor was screaming holding his hand over his eyes. Soon enough she was surrounded by the Imperial guards. "Your highness, don't make us hurt you. The Emperor gave us consent in advance."
Anthonette chuckled, now that was the Eden she knew. In a matter of minutes she managed to demobilize all four of them when she realized they were calling back up she picked up one of the swords from one of the knights she demobilized and ran.
She ran till she got to the gates. She was lucky that no guards were in sight. She tossed her sword to the other side and lazily threw herself along.
