Chapter 25
"The question is how important?" He asked and answered his own question, "there's only one way to find out."
He collected the flower Cole had plucked and held it to his nose, inhaling the scent with a look of satisfaction on his face.
Cole turned around to look at the pool and there was a look of uncertainty on his face.
"We didn't have to push Pete into the pool," Cole said.
The look of satisfaction immediately washed off Sam's face and he looked as if he had enough already.
"He was really nice to us and we had already knocked him out. We're not murderers Sam," Cole added.
"Yes, we are not murderers, but we have to do whatever is necessary to achieve our goal. We cannot leave any room for mistakes," Sam retorted.
"And no one cares if he was nice enough. He's not on our side and that's all that really matters. He would have done the same if he figured us out first," Sam added.
Cole nodded, although he didn't seem convinced.
