After she successfully flew and stabilized herself, she was surprised to find that the house is located deep within the forest with not a single house to be seen.
It was a vast see of green trees. Floating on the air for a while, Lilith savored the rare and calm scenery before her with the wind softly hitting her face.
Of all locations for a house to be built, this is actually a very good location if only she knew the way out or know the way into the nearest town.
Sadly, she don't.
"I haven't eaten anything since earlier" Lilith said, caressing her empty stomach.
Her aura is scaring all the food near her, not even a wild rabbit can be seen. Or a peasant at least.
She never really felt hunger in the past but now, strangely, she suddenly had the desire to eat delicious foods.
And... Lilith scrunched up her face as she realized she's suddenly scared of heights. It might be a temporary trauma due to her second life. She felt kind of nauseous.
Slowly landing onto the ground, Lilith tried to contain her aura inside Regina's body in hopes of a prey unknowingly getting near her.
Lilith wandered around for a while before seeing an oasis, drinking before she sat on a big stone under a tree blocking the sunlight.
Now that you look at it, there's a lot of grass and greens here.
Ah.. Should she just eat grass?
Lilith seriously thought of it before hesitantly taking the prettiest green leef she can recognise.
Putting it on her mouth determinedly, Lilith held her mouth to avoid spitting it as she chewed on it slowly.
Who knows, this might taste amazing to the point of spitting it back to the ground.
Well, reality proved her right.
"Tasteless" Lilith said, refusing to take another leef to bite.
It tastes like sadness.
Lilith leaned on the tree, wanting to sleep. If only the tree behind her is soft, she might have fell asleep already.
This is why she doesn't like peaceful and boring days sometimes. It makes her want to sleep.
A while later of killing time uneventfully, Lilith saw something running afar. Now that her aura is similar to that of a normal human, animals were no longer careful in getting within her sight.
Just look at those animals jumping around and drinking.
Lilith's eyes glowed as she watched a venison running and then stopping to take a bite on the grass.
She haven't tasted venison meat.. Yet.
Though she heard Venison meat tastes good...
Chasing after it in the speed of flash, Lilith quickly arrive in front of the venison, giving it a scare.
Stabilising herself on the ground, Lilith released her aura thus rendering the venison motionless for a moment.
If only she knew that all she had to do was this to catch a prey, she wouldn't have eaten grass.
But just when Lilith was about to grabbed ahold of it's motionless head to hold it, the venison suddenly regained it's vitality and began running wildly in the opposite direction, leaving Lilith confused.
Base on Logic, that Venison shouldn't be able to move for a while. Animals are weak to ominous auras.
"Repelled huh".
Lilith's pretty sure something countered her aura.
And that Venison is probably running towards the source.
"Let me see then".
At this time, Lilith didn't use any magic and chased after it normally. It would be dangerous if there's really someone that can repel her aura.
But unfortunately, even after a while of chasing, she still lost sight of the Venison.
"I didn't know that a Venison's stamina is better than mine" she grimaced, exhausted. She wasn't always this weak.
Looking at her thin arms and legs, Lilith sighed.
She's sure that the venison ran this way. That thing is probably just around this area eating tasteless grass again.
Lilith leaned on a tree beside her as she waited for a while to pass by. Running with an empty stomach isn't very recommended.
After calming herself, Lilith continued searching for her food and as she predicted, the Venison was just around the area eating on the ground.
"Since when was food so hard to eat" mumbling to herself, Lilith readied herself to cast a spell without alerting the Venison.
She couldn't use her aura that might alert dangerous individuals around.
After the venison made her chased it until she's exhausted, Lilith decided to cast a stronger spell.
After eating, she should be able to regain her stamina and get out of this forest soon.
But just as Lilith readied herself to cast a spell, a sharp and shiny piece of steel was also redied beside her neck.
It was a sword, she can feel it's sharpness even with the 1 inch distance between them.
'Looking behind would be one of the worst decisions i made in my whole 3 lives right now'.
Who knows, the guy behind her might be some cruel barbarian randomly killing people.
"Who are you?" a voice as if laced with blade asked, just behind her.
That's quite a handsome voice. Let's scratch that, a barbarian wouldn't have this nice of a voice.
And she doesn't really think that she would die here, after all, she haven't done anything worthy of death.
"You probably don't know me, so is it nice of you to point your sword at an innocent civilian while asking that?" Lilith said, making the man behind her squint his eyes.
Keeping her aura inside Regina's body is still difficult, fortunately she manage to do it completely just as she felt the presence behind her.
If she's not wrong, the repelling aura earlier is coming from this man..its coming from an item maybe.
As for the reason she's getting pointed at with a sword, it's probably because of her aura as well, getting deemed as a dangerous person.
"That's my fault" The man said as he finally retracted his sword after a while of silence, finally letting Lilith turn around to face him.
Lilith's eyes wander to his dark hair and red eyes, probably the darkest shade of black she have ever seen. Lilith's eyes then landed onto the dull gem embedded on the sword pointed at her earlier.
As expected, it was a sensor. A rare gem even for demons. Probably the reason she got threatened.
A small amount of dangerous aura can make it glow.
The duller this gem is, the more valuable it can be sold.
Well it's also her fault for using a strong magic out of rage for chasing after the Venison for so long that the jewel can sense her ominous aura.
As Lilith was wandering her eyes, the man opposite her was also looking at her with scrutiny.
Silver hair and violet eyes is probably not a common trait even among the noble families in the capital of Cereza.
Looking at her attire, it was an old dress that gone out of fashion long ago.
And the ominous yet tempting aura earlier.. "I was lost on my way here, have you seen anyone suspicious around?" the man asked, looking at her expression clearly.
He was sure the dangerous aura he sensed was coming from this way.. But the only person around was this girl whom he could sense not a single aura from.
Just like a shell with nothing inside, she was like a shell.
"I haven't seen anyone, i was actually also lost on my way" Lilith said, seizing the chance to get acquainted with the man.
The man before Lilith was dressed in a black and noble uniform.
He looks rich.
"I see" the man said with unchanging expression.
"yes" Lilith replied.
Now what would happen.
"My name is Regina" Lilith said, breaking the silence.
"Regina Lilith" Lilith said, mixing her name with Regina.
Introducing herself with another name is something she would never get used to.
"Killian" The man said, introducing himself. To be honest, it's not that he was purposely making it awkward.
It was more because he doesn't know what to say towards the stranger before him.
"Hmm well Killian, since i also lost my way, why don't we.. Uh.." Lilith said, unable to find the right word to say just to go straight to the point. She doesn't love idle chitchats nor awkward silence.
And as if understanding "Since we're both lost, we can find the way together" Killian said, standing straight and preparing to leave with Lilith.
The man before her called Killian is really an eye candy.
"Yes, that would be great" Lilith said in agreement, following the walking Killian closely.
Unconsciously, Lilith pinch the side of Killian's clothes to hold him close but not to touch him.
It was instinct.
Killian didn't mind the small action from Lilith and continued leading the 'way' back to the camp.
It was currently the hunting season, supposedly he should've come back with a prey, not a girl.
After a while of walking, Lilith immediately felt exhausted. Ah, She forgot to eat that venison.
And she's sure.. Killian doesn't know the way. They've been going here and there but still nothing.
She can only smile grimly at getting lost within the forest with him further. She suddenly felt like they could've gone out earlier if she were leading the way instead.
But just as Lilith thought of that, her stomach growled, making both of them halt.
"Are you hungry?" Killian asked after a moment of silence.
"What do you mean, that must be the ground shaking a little but now that you mention it, how about we take a break and eat first?" Lilith replied smoothly and calmly, making Killian doubt if he really heard wrong.
'Im not really hungry'. Killian thought, looking at Lilith for a while.
Well, it's not like everyone is like him who doesn't feel hunger despite not eating for an entire day.
"Do you know how to start a fire?" Killian asked.
"I do, why?" Lilith asked blankly in return.
"You can go start a fire, i will hunt" Killian said, not waiting for Lilith to reply before dissappearing into thin air.
He's really fast.. "ah" Lilith gasped as she looked at her empty hands. Was she holding him all along? Why does her hands felt empty otherwise.
Getting out of her trance, Lilith made a small fire as she was told. Using magic tho. She doesn't know how to make fire naturally.
As Lilith was just getting sleepy, Killian came back with 2 wild rabbits already cleaned, probably the reason it took him so long.
After cooking and eating, Lilith slept while sitting and leaning on a tree, leaving Killian wide awake for any surprise attacks.
As Killian leaned towards the tree and looked at the sleeping girl, he suddenly thought about their encounter earlier.
He's confused wether she's just naive or dumb to sleep around a stranger defenselessly.
But of course, the sleeping Lilith is not at all defenseless. Killian probably doesn't know.
The dangerous aura earlier, might have or might not have come from this girl but she's still a strange entity in Killian's eyes.
He haven't heard of a noble lady with looks like hers but neither does she look like a commoner. Even if she was dressed in rags or old fashioned clothes, no one would think she was of commoner descent.
A foreign noble perhaps? Killian thought, his cold face blending with the moonlight and thus making him look like an asura from hell.
Lightly closing his eyes while thinking, Killian thought about it the whole evening before he heard some faint sounds.
"Split in 4 groups to search for the commander" A loud yet commanding voice said.
Dressed as a knight, they split into four groups searching for someone.
