Shtute finished his archery training at sunset before stealthily escaping Kamunka's sight. He snuck through the forest and into the back of the humongous wooden lodging — the Infirmary.
'I hope Kellin is alright... I shouldn't have been so selfish...'
He went through the back door of the lodging and passed through a dark hallway with only candles as the source of light. The candles were placed inside of lamps hanging on the walls.
As he walked, he saw many open doors where injured students rested inside. The rooms were small but sturdy, and the beds were clean and soft, perfect for taking naps.
After he reached a room numbered "103," he finally saw his friend sitting quietly on a white bed, staring at the ceiling. Kellin's neck was wrapped in bandages as he was scarred from Kamunka's grip.
Shtute rushes to his side, worried and apologetic.
"Kellin, are you okay? I'm sorry for making you fight for me..."
"I'm as good as ever! Don't worry about it!" He flexes his slender arm that only has a tiny bit of muscle.
"Did Arine already visit you?"
"Yup! She left a while ago."
"That's good..."
"By the way, why are you wearing the archery girls' uniform?"
"Oh... I'd rather not talk about it..."
"It's okay! You can tell me!" He spoke enthusiastically.
"Alright, alright. I'll tell you." He chuckled.
"Mhm!" Kellin shook his arms up and down, showing his excitement.
"After you passed out, I fought Kamunka one-on-one and nearly won!" He lied.
"Wow, you're so amazing Shtute!"
"Yeah... but I still lost. That's why she made me wear this dress."
"Ahaha! You're very pretty!" Kellin giggled.
"Thanks...?" He laughed too.
"Thank you for visiting me, Shtute. I'll always be happy to help you."
"That'd be great but you won't have to fight her anymore..."
Shtute shook his hand nervously before leaving. That was probably his last time ever interacting with Kellin.
...
Shtute sighed and hurried along a dirt path to find his home. He passed by many similar buildings and a few small stores made of adobe or wood: they sold flowers, armor, and tools.
The sector that he lived in was not very advanced since only the rich, like Kamunka, could afford stone housings and private bathrooms.
Soon, he arrived at his family's property. There were two large buildings close to each other. The one in the front was their inn which served customers for money. The housing a few yards behind it is their proper home. It contained all the minimal essentials they needed to survive.
Arriving at the front of the stone path to his family's residence, he had to run as fast as he possibly could. It would be embarrassing if any of his family members saw him wearing such a feminine outfit.
Shtute successfully sneaks pass the inn by crouching and got to his house. He jumps up the porch, opens the door with a special key, and took off his shoes before running through a dark hallway.
At the end of the hallway was the living room. It has an entrance to the left, one up front, and stairs to the right. The left side contained the bathroom while the one up front held the kitchen and storage room. The stairs led to four private rooms for the family: his parents, elder sister, guests, and himself.
Shtute hurries upstair and quickly opens the door to his room. The stars shun through his opened window directly across the door.
His room was bland and empty. All he had in there was a table next to his bed, a closet, and a trusty sheathed sword full of faith leaning against his table. It bore a crimson ruby in the middle of the silver guard.
He undresses himself quickly and switches into his pajamas before jumping onto his comfortable bed.
Using his military training, he slept soundly without a single care in the world. It was the only way he could rest after his querals with Kamunka.
'Finally some peace... Inside of this darkness, I am free...'
