Chapter 2 - ll Chapter 1 ll part 2: The Mage seer

"Wake up! wake up!" It continued as it became louder. Was he dead or something? Eradan thought.

Lashes fluttered open revealing a pair of amber eyes. His vision was blurry despite adjusting his sight. He saw a cast above him but he couldn't discern it's owner.

"Eradan wake up!" He felt slight taps on his shoulders as if hollering him. Eradan blinked severally as he adjusted his vision to the lit up surrounding which was infiltrated by sunlight.

That was one weird dream he had. Thank God it was a dream, he thought. It was there and then the figure came into perfect view... Now he knew who it was.

"MOM?" Eradan yaped surprisedly as he sat up slowly, still trying to figure out what brought her to his room "Umm... Good morning, is there any problem?" He added, his brows furrowed.

"Good morning sweetie. Well there is, but it isn't a problem... you'll also need to stop cutting out images from the magazine" His mom flashed a bright smile at him as she picked out pieces of paper from his hair. Earning a grin from her son "I'll also need you to take the laundry basket to the garage... I'll be waiting there" She added and Eradan nodded in affirmation.

She stood up to leave, on getting to the door she stopped and turned around as if she remembered something.

"Eradan? is everything alright? you kept shaking as I woke you up. If there is?.. feel free to let me know"

"Don't worry mom, It's all fine" Mrs Lily McAllister couldn't do anything but smile at her son's answer. She turned and left, leaving him in the solace of his room. Just as she had gone, Eradan reached out for his phone on a table beside his bed. He was hoping to receive a message from his friend Riele, but was disappointed because she wasn't online. The youth put back his phone and decided to head to their basement to retrieve their laundry basket.

Their basement's entrance was located at the back of their house but a bit farther from the house.

Arriving at it's entrance, he opened it by raising up the door. Revealing a staircase that went downward, it's end corralled with darkness. He turned back, then towards the basement, litting up the lamp hung at the basement's door.

He began to grope his way with the lamp until he finally arrived at the bottom of the staircase. He made his way to the edge of the basement where the baskets were and took them, gropping his way back to the entrance.

Once he had fully climbed out, The youth locked the basement and turned to leave, but instantly felt a sharp ache pierce his head abruptly.

"Ugh!" He whined as the pang became intense... Really excruciating. It seemed like he was stabbed over and over again in his head. It hurts! it really hurts! Eradan thought as he unexpectedly became light headed due to the immense pain he felt.

"What is wrong with me?" The youth fell on his knees still wondering what could have been the cause of the grueling pain he felt. He tried so hard to endure it but it was to painful to endure.

"Ahhh!" Eradan let out a loud yell. He hoped for aid but no one came, does it mean they didn't hear him?

He was already tired as his eyes became heavy and teary. Eyelids about to close up. No! He couldn't just go jently into the good night. He had people to live for, his friends, his family. He couldn't just die like that without knowing the cause of the excruciating pain his head felt.

Not to forget, there was his eighteenth birthday that was two days later... He couldn't just die. But all hopes were lost as his eyes closed jently, hot tears trailing from both corners of his eyes... He was about to kiss goodnight.

Suddenly... The pain mysterious stopped.

Torrents of energy began to flow into him and he could feel it. What was this strange energy he felt within him? He felt more energetic than before. He leapt up quickly to his feet, looked around and darted for the garage.

unknown to him, a mark had appeared on his forehead before disappearing....

           *****************

Far away in a realm unknown to mankind known as Napeloen realm. A realm filled with magic, mysteries and mystic creatures...

In a thumping dome shaped cave, quite lengthy and widthy. Stalactites and staglamite could be seen at some stategic point in the cave, a large semicircular shelf filled with jars of potions (different sizes and colors) arranged neatly was mounted at the right side of the cave.

While at the left side, another semicircular shelf filled with books (of different sizes) neatly arranged was also mounted, with both shelves meeting at the other end of the cave opposite it's entrance which wasn't covered. A slightly long table occupied with jars filled with little creatures could also be seen.

Shadiness enclosed the cave as it was already night. The only source of light was the moonlight that penetrated into this cave through a natural hole positioned at the cave's center.

A glow of dark blue besmeared the interior of this cave due to the rays of moonlight. Beneath the moonlight rays was a chrystalline Orb, which glowed as it was held by a statued hand. Within this cave,

A teenager sat on an old rugged cushion before the book shelf reading a book, as he held a lamp for light. Unanticipatedly, the Orb began to glimmer brightly as it released white mist, deluging the statue hand that held. Likewise spreading across the floor.

On an attempt to stretch while reading, the individual within saw the strange event taking place.

"Master" He called instantly and an aged man with white long hair dressed in a ragged black cloth emerged out of thin air... Both master and student immediately hurried towards the Orb.

"It's almost time" Said the old mage in a croaky voice, cringing as he looked at the Orb before him "I must inform the king" He spoke further.

"Master? what do you mean it's almost time?" The younger mage queried looking at the older mage in profuse confusion, who in turn looked at him.

"Henry!"

"Yes master!"

"Y-Yeh know it's been eighteen years since I took yer in as my apprentice. Feeding, sheltering and taking care of yer. most importantly, teaching yer the mages way after yer-" He coughed send a palm to his chest.

Out of panic, Henry rushed to get water for him but the old mage stopped him and continued "Y-Yeh parents demise. But I'll need to tell yer this, the road ahead is going to be rough. Yeh'll need to prepare yerself for the possible oncoming challenges... But don't forget, stand strong as I might not be with yer then."

"M-Master why are y-you saying all this?" The younger mage asked worries implanted in his tone. He couldn't understand why his master was suddenly sounding like that.

"To make yer prepared for the oncoming waar. No need to tremble, it's not yet time but just a warning!" He looked at the Orb slowly caressing it with his fingers  "Alabaster finally does his duty.... it's left for us then" wrinkled lips parted in a smile, revealing his yellow teeth.

"Master, What type of war is that, and who's this Alabaster you speak of?" Henry inquired as he sternly looked at his master, impatiently waiting for his response.

"Young lad, yeh'll need to slow down" groping the Orb, The old mage said "if I may ask, do yeh know what this is?"

"the Klux is an heirloom of the Alan clan" The teenager answered almost immediately.

The Klux was a divine artifact picked by Alan Tyui the founder of the Alan clan the most powerful and only clan in the mage kingdom, in the cave of thousand weapons 1,000 years ago. The Klux was known for its ability of precognition and Transmigration and has been known as one of the most important artifact in the realm.

"Yer indeed answered it well," The old mage applauded, making his student beam with pride.

"But not fully"

"...?" Henry paused for a moment with what he had heard. His pride turned into confusion. What did he miss wrong? He deluged, flashing suspicious looks at his master.

Unknown to Henry, his master was really enjoying his confused countenance as he racked his brain thinking for possible answers he might have forgotten. All in all, he couldn't remember any and gave up.

"Giving up already?" Came from wrinkled lips "Of course yer wouldn't know about as I never taught it to yer, but I would now" the old mage began to teach his student about the Klux guardian....
