"Do you know what's the difference between a demon, a god, and a human? A God seeks benevolence, a human seeks vengeance, but a demon only seeks…" He paused, the smile taking on a maniacal edge,
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS MONSTER" Shane shouted. Everyone had the same doubt.
Zen then softly said, "DESTRUCTION"
|BOOMMMMM|
Nobody could see what happened, but the result of the sound was clear, while Zen was standing blood all over his body and eyes shining, Shane was on the ground a few feet away. Everyone forgot to breathe. This result was not something one could imagine given the power difference. Shane was an outstanding seedling of the third year, while Zen was merely a commoner without any cultivation.
"So, this is all you can do?" Zen's voice echoed as he started walking towards Shane, "This is what you are proud of? This is what this society sees as the Nobles? Calling you trash is an insult to trash itself!"
"N-No don't come here." Shane somehow crawled backwards with fear apparent in his eyes.
"HAHAHA" Zen laughed and disappeared from his spot. Shane looked around but couldn't find Zen at all. An ominous feeling rose in his heart.
"What a pathetic being you are." A soft yet cold voice came from behind Shane,
|BAMM| A sharp kick fell on Shane's neck from behind and he immediately crashed his forehead on the ground due to the impact. He felt like his head is gonna split from his body.
"P-Please… I-I beg you… forgive me." Shane mustered all the energy and begged. But Zen had enough of Nobles battering. He went in front of him and placed his foot on Shane's head.
"See… this is what you are. A plague on the world who just cling to their family's pants. This is all you amount to. If you are so strong then go and take over the galaxy. No, all you can do is oppress that commoners and feed your fragile ego."
|BAM| Zen stomped his foot on Shane's head again.
"So what if you even cultivated using your family's resources? Can you be a bit more human? Is there a need to keep your nose so high everywhere you go? Disgusting." Zen finally removed his foot and picked Shane from his neck. Shane was almost unconscious. His face completely disfigured. There was no trace of the pride and arrogance on his face, only tears and snout.
"Don't cross the line." A bot shouted from the sidelines.
Zen looked at him and smiled, "Shut up worm! If you have guts then come here, if not, then crawl back to the shell you came from." Hearing this, the boy silently left the place. He was in no way even a competitor of Zen.
"So, what did you say before? How can a commoner do anything to you?" Zen put Shane down, held his hand and body and with his leg, kicked his shoulder has hard has he could.
"ARGHHHHHHHH" Shane screamed in pain. The sharp pain was unlike anything he ever experienced. He considered himself experienced in battle, but this pain was unimaginable. He looked on his side and was terrified by what he saw. His right arm was on the ground. Detached.
Yes, Zen tore Shane's right arm. With today's technology, it was fairly easy to fix an arm, but you can never get the same functionality and dexterity with the artificial arms. What Zen did was to virtually pull Shane away from his peers with his actions.
"NO!! This cannot be happening. Do you think my family will let it go?"
"Oh! They won't? Then I should take this chance to remove the second one also." Zen whispered sending shivers down Shane's spine.
He held Shane's second arm but then,
"ZEN!" A sweet voice stopped him from going further. It was Evelyn, together with Anna and Shreya. "Zen leave it that, please, any more than this and things will get excessively dangerous."
Zen thought for a second, but he can't ever ignore what Evelyn says. "You got lucky prick." He said and slapped Shane so hard that he immediately lost consciousness.
"Brother are you alright?" Anna and Evelyn came near him and supported him while leading him outside.
"Mm"
"Everyone leave! Show's over! You! Call the medical team now and have them heal Mr. Maxwell." Shreya said and left as well.
'How in the seven hells did Zen beat a cultivator in 4th ring? Sigh. My disciple sure keeps things interesting. I am sure the coming days will be entertaining. Anyways, the problems will start now.' She was worried about Zen's action which broke many major rules of the academy. 'Well whatever, whoever dares to touch my disciple will suffer.' A dangerous glint briefly appeared in her eyes and then she walked towards Zen and Anna.
While Shreya was catching up, Anna was reprimanding Zen,
"Brother, how can you do this? What if that Maxwell guy disregarded the rules and killed you? Do you even understand what will happen to me and our parents?"
"I am sorry. I worried both of you."
Evelyn who was quiet until now opened her mouth,
"But…. You will still do something like this right?"
"Haha. I can't deny that. But I will be more tactful now. I know I shouldn't be this impulsive." Zen knew how wrong he was. If not for the unknown power, he would have suffered. In the real world, this could lead to major problems for him as well his family. He needs to think before acting.
"Anyways, my head is dizzy so…" Zen finally lost his consciousness. Although he held on to it for up until now, it was more because he didn't want to seem weak. But now that he was only in presence of Anna and Evelyn, he could relax.
"BROTHER!" "ZEN!" Both of them were afraid.
"Don't worry, he is just tired and anemic. He will be fine after few hours. You go to your dorms and let me send him to medical center." It was Shreya who caught up to them from behind.
But what she didn't expect was Anna's and Evelyn's response.
"No! We will go this time with him. Right, Anna?"
"Of course."
"When did you two become such good friends? Well, fine, let's go." Shreya took them to center immediately.
