I scrolled through my text and found Kara's number to call her back. "Hey... yep, we're all set I'll call you when I start set up that way you can come to the studio. Just be ready to shoot" I hung up with Kara and started my car it said I was 35 minutes from Victoria so I way.
"Wooow" I was amazed as I pulled into their driveway. Damn I knew they had to be living good but this good. I parked behind Victoria's car and grabbed my phone to let her know I was here. She texted back okay, and I waited for her at the door. I could smell her sweet scent before she even answered the door. When the door opened, she was standing there looking delicious in her silk robe. I was thoroughly imagining what's underneath when she called my name "Eva! Hahaaa, you coming in or what" she walked away from the door and headed towards the kitchen. I followed blissfully behind shutting the door as I came in. I walked in and sat my keys down on the counter. She turned to face me an caught me staring intensely "so…" she cleared her throat. "I see you're still interested in working... even on a paid day off" she giggled, and I smiled at her. "Yea I figured now I'd a good time to knock out any side projects I could" she offered me a water "damn Victoria... what you tryna say I'm thirsty" I said jokingly gulping down the water. She laughed and I almost choked trying not to laugh while drinking at the same time "you're funny. Anyway, Eva let me go grab you those keys" as she turned to walk out the kitchen her robe came open. She quickly grabbed the belt to tie it back, blushing and apologizing.
"It ain't nothing I haven't seen or felt before" I said as I followed her down the hallway trying my best not to just grab her and fuck her right there. "It was highly inappropriate... here you go... you should probably go" she handed the keys to the studio to me seeming nervous or uneasy. "You okay" I asked seeing the expression on her face. "Yes… I uhh… I just… it's hard to see you right now ya know... especially after" I cleared my throat to interrupt her "yea I get it it's cool. I'll just be on my way than" I took the keys and headed for the door when she reached for my arm. "We do need time to talk about it though… ok" I nodded agreeing and rushed out the door. If I stayed any longer, we would've definitely ended up right back where we didn't need to be once again. When I got in my car, I took the deepest breath and did my bed to calm myself. I shook my head at myself heading to the studio. It took me 20 minutes to get the the studio, Kara took another 15 to get to me and about an hour to wrap the shoot.
"Thank you so much again Eva for finding this location an getting everything done. I can't wait to see the final cut" Kara said as she was cleaning off her makeup. "No problem am you sure you don't want to do that inside... you not gon get anything on your seats" I watched as she removed layer after layer. She started laughing once she realized I was watching her with a sour look on my face "haha yes Eva I'm fine close my door fool I gotta go" she kept cracking up as I shut her door. I walked over to my car glad this day was almost over. I couldn't get Victoria off my mind since and even more now especially after that robe slip. Danni is gonna kill me for real…
I woke up feeling like I finally had my damn body back. I shot out of bed and went straight to the gym. I had the energy again and could get Victoria out of my head the only way I knew how "THANK GAWD" I thought out loud to myself. Cause damn between seeing her and the dreams it was becoming too much. It had now been a week and a half since we slipped up and I was finally not feeling like a complete asshole. I checked in with Danni periodically just to see how things were going. She said she feels great again and that "her and Vicki should be in the clear by now" I was more than glad to know that. Honestly it seemed as if it never even bothered Victoria, I definitely thought I was done for but I'm glad Danni did it my way.
As soon as I got to the studio Chase let me know Victoria wanted to see me in her office; I collected myself before stepping in. "God morning Victoria, what's up" I asked as I gestured if I could take a seat. "Please do after you close the door behind you" I did just that and you a seat. "Well first of I wanted to say thank you again. You've been killing it, project after project a success" I sat there all smiles as she praised me. "I know we haven't had a moment to talk but I don't want it to be any awakened so let's just get it all out" she spewed the words out as if it were word vomit. "I know we do but can we talk after work. I'd like to keep my mind focused on business during business hours ya honors" I smiled at her to show I wasn't being sarcastic. She glanced at me slightly then said "ok" she went right back to fumbling with the papers on her desk. I walked out of the office and readied myself for the workload.
It was almost the end of the day and my thoughts had been on what to say to Victoria all day long. I was deep in thought when I heard a light knock at my door. "Victoria…" I looked up and smiled. She walked in and closed the door behind her "Hey... so…" she sat down in front of my desk and clasped her hands together. "Umm… what we did… that can't… it can't happen again" she seemed flustered, but I didn't want to interject without hearing her fully out first. She cleared her throat "I know that you and Danni have been best friends for a long time… and I know-" I was staring at her the whole time she spoke until she finally looked up at me and we locked eyes. "Listen Victoria… I got it... no need for this really. We both know what happened shouldn't have ...and never will again I suppose" I slightly smirked as I saw her bite the corner of her bottom lip. We kept our eyes locked for the moment and I swear I could see heart beating through her chest. The sound of Chase packing up made us break our contact, so I took this as an opportunity to get up and move closer. I really wanted her to see in my eyes that it was all good. When I leaned on my desk right in front of her, she sat back in the chair. "Thank you, Eva. I really..." she took a deep breath and whipped down her face, shaking her head. I reached for her chin so she could look at me "it's okay... I got you. And you're welcome" I kissed her forehead and brought her in for a hug.
