I truly hoped she took that as well as it seemed. I walked back into the venue and told the coordinator this was "the one"!
And boy was I excited about it. I looked around once again then made my way back to my car. I dialed Vicki and started the car. "Baby guess what … we have a date and a venue" she shrieked, and I pulled the phone away giggling as it connected to the car. "Yes, baby I'm serious and I'm so ready to make you Mrs. Garnett-Mitchell" I stopped at the red light. "I'm so ready babe. I love you" we blew kisses and said we'd see each other in a few. I stopped by the grocery store to grab some things and decided we needed a cute little celebration. I couldn't wait to tell her the date and let her know I got her dress already and yes without seeing it! I knew she'd be over the moon about it. I texted her to ask if she still was at work and for how long. I stopped by her favorite boutique and grabbed her a couple new things and headed to her office.
I pulled up to her parking lot, grabbed the bag and the flowers I picked up along the way. As soon as I got to the door, I almost dropped everything… "is that… Eva..." I opened and walked in, Chase said something, but I walked straight up to Eva. "E… Eva? …. "What are you-"she extended her hand "YOOO! Danielle? What up D? How are you?" We dapped up and hugged as I saw Vicki walking towards us smiling. I whisper in Eva's ear "what are you doing here?" Eva pulled back and glared at me confused. "I see you know my fiancé?" I hugged Vicki and gave her the bag and flowers "oh yea baby we go way back" I smiled "you ready to go baby" she nodded and told E about the last little things to touch up. I escorted her to her office, and we sat so she could see what was in the bag and hopefully not ask any more questions.
