At dawn the next day, A greened haired 13 year old boy could be seen on top of a well arranged bed as he was deep in a meditative state.
Suddenly, a loud bang reverberated all around the hall as a profound Qi gushed out of the boy as a slightly visible silhouette was appeared behind him before it quickly vanished. As soon as this happened, the boys eyes quickly opened as he exhaled sharply. This boy was none other than Kyler Pearce who is the Captain of the Monster Slayers group.
'I have finally advance to the 2nd stage of the Spirit Fusion Rank' Pearce thought with an excited expression on his face.
'Right now along with my Power Rank which has just advance, my spell has also increase in power. With my grade one Qi Barrier in the excellent phase, divine rank Intent spark at the perfection stage, divine rank divine perspective in the initial phase, grade one Qi burst at the excellent phase and finally the Sabre Arts first stage, Serpent Movement at the perfection stage. I think am above average among the initial phase of the 2nd stage in the Spirit Fusion Rank practitioners' Pearce evaluated his current abilities with a satisfied smile on his face.
But his expression quickly changed to being helpless as he thought....
'But I don't even know how to activate that mysterious slabs that i haven't even seen since when I first felt them'
'Not only that, but I wonder when I will get to the second stage of the Sabre Arts called Serpents Strike?'
Pearce kept on thinking that a headache began to rise in his head. But it quickly calmed down when he got Interrupted.
Knock!! Knock!!
"Come in" Pearce said with a calm look on his face. At once, Pearce's room door suddenly opened as a tough looking teen walked in.
"We are ready Captain" Robert said with a solemn look on his face.
"Ok" Pearce calmly replied as he got off his bed and went into his bathroom that was at the opposite side of the room.
'Does he wanna take a bath now?' Robert thought with an incredulous expression on his face. But not long after, Pearce came out of his bathroom.
Right now Pearce looks dashing and surperb. with his hair that was all tied back to make a ponytail, his new profound red Qi that silently hovered around his body and a black colored storage pouch that was kept on his light green military uniform.
'So handsome...' Robert thought as he suddenly fall into a daze. But he quickly came to his senses when Pearce said.
"Let's go"
But before Pearce walked out from his room, a voice suddenly rang out in his head.
«Kid, I have something to tell you»
«What Is it?» Pearce asked internally as he followed Robert out of his room and going towards the stairs.
«I will be shutting down for some time» Pearce's replica said solemnly.
«Huh? Why?» Pearce quickly asked with a puzzled expression on his face.
«I can't tell you now, but when am up again, I will» His replica said before he closed his eyes and became completely quiet.
«My replica?» Pearce tried to call out to him, but he didn't get any response this time.
'Well, it looks like am on my own for the time being' Pearce thought as he took in a deep breath.
"Good morning Captain!"
Everyone in the Monster Slayers group except Pearce and Robert said in unison as the Captain and Vice Captain walked into the living room.
"Is everyone ready?" Pearce asked with a calm look on his face.
"Yes Captain" Robert answered as he stood together with the other Monster Slayers.
"Then let's set off" Pearce said as he began to walk out of the house. While he was walking out, his group quickly followed him from behind.
And so, The Monster Slayers moved towards the transportation centre in the Monster Slaying Station. When they got there, they quickly got into a military vehicle which brought them to the western part of Thomas District.
'Looks like they have already prepared a place for us to stay' Pearce thought as he walked into a hotel along with his group.
When they got in, they saw a rather long counter with a young lady that seems to be in her 20s standing behind the counter right in front of her.
"Excuse me miss but we are from the Monster Slaying Regiment station in this district" Pearce said as he approached the lady at the counter.
"Your Squad's name and rank?" The lady asked with an indifferent look on her face.
"Monster Slayers and we are in the Soldier Rank" Pearce answered calmly.
"Ok, Please hold on" The lady said again before she pulled out a book from the shelf behind the counter. After writing something on it, she picked up a key with a label '29' on it as she stretched her hands towards Robert and said...
"This is the key to your group's apartment. It is located at the 5th floor"
When Robert saw this, he smiled wryly as he intends to tell the woman that he wasn't the leader. But before he could do that, Pearce secretly tapped him on the hands.
'He wants me to take it?' Robert thought with a surprised look in the depths of his eyes. But he quickly came back to normal and calmly took the keys.
"Thank you" Pearce said calmly before he began to walk towards an elevator. As soon as Pearce did this, Robert along with the others followed him from behind.
When the lady saw this, she quickly became puzzled as he thought....
'Why is there Captain following that kid from behind?'
But if she knew that that 'kid' is actually the original leader of the group, only the heavens will know what will happen.
"Captain, why didn't you allow me tell her I wasn't the Captain?" Robert eventually asked with a curious expression on his face as both him, Pearce and the others were waiting for the elevator to arrive.
"Who told you that you weren't the Captain?" Pearce asked with a confused expression on his face.
"Urgh...." When Robert heard this question, he quickly became speechless as he thought...
'Wait, is he giving me the group to lead for this mission?'
But what Pearce said next was way off from what he thought...
"I want you to remember one thing Robert, and that is in this group, both me and you are Captains no matter the rank between us" Pearce said with a light smile on his face.
"Captain..." Robert muttered with red eyes. this just shows that what Pearce just said touched him.
Ding!!
"Ok big guy, let's move" George eventually said as he dragged Robert into the elevator. After they got in, Pearce and the others followed suite.
When the Monster Slayers got into the elevator, they saw a hooded silhouette standing at a corner. This silhouette had an ominous aura around itself as its face wasn't visible even if the elevator lights illuminated the whole area.
'Why am I having a bad feeling towards this person?' Pearce thought with a solemn expression on his face while raising his guard up.
But right when he turned to press the an elevator button, a sudden gleam appeared in the hood as the silhouette unexpectedly moved.
Whoosh!!
Bam!!
"Captain!!" Echoed everyone in Pearce's group with a panicked look on their faces.
"LET HIM GO!!" Robert screamed as he dashed towards the silhouette who is currently holding an unconscious Pearce with bloodshot eyes as gold colored qi burst out of his body while wielding a rather big gold colored sledge hammer
Whoosh!!
Berserk Charge!!
"Futile effort" The silhouette suddenly spoke in a deep masculine voice as he casually swung his left hand out towards Robert. When he did that, nothing seems to come out from his body which indicates that it was just a normal swing.
Bam!!
Barf!!
But when that swing landed on Robert, it completely neutralized his spell as it sent him flying back into the elevator with coughing out a mouthful of blood
"Robert!!" Everyone screamed again with an even more intense panic and deep fear on their.
"Robert!! Take this" George suddenly said as he put his hand into his storage pouch. But what the silhouette said next made him freeze.
"No one moves. Or they die"
After seeing that both the Monster Slayers and even the lady that was currently drenched in cold sweat and fear on her face didn't move, the silhouette spoke again.
"Good"
But in the next moment, he hurriedly cursed before he mysteriously vanished.
"Sh*t!!"
Boom!!
"Who dares intrudes the resting place of the Monster Slaying Regiment!!?" Shouted an old man with bald head as he blasted the entrance of the hotel open. But when he did that, he could only see a fainted lady and a panicked group of teens.
"What happened here?" The old man asked in a deep voice.
"We got attack by someone" George answered with a worried expression on his face.
"Who!?" The old man suddenly asked as his gold qi burst out. Not only that, but the heat in the area suddenly increased.
"We don't know sir but it took our Captain" George answered again with a reddened eyes as he thought.
'Am so useless'
"What!?" The bald man suddenly said with a grave expression on his face as he thought.
'Dont tell me who they took was him?'
But what George said next completely crushed his expectations...
"Our Captains name is Kyler Pearce and he has silky long green hair, green eyes and sword shaped eyebrows" George said with reddened eyes.
"Sh*t!!" The bald man cursed before he suddenly dashed out of her with a disbelieving speed as he thought worriedly.
'I need to tell the higher-ups fast!'.
