After driving for more than two hours the car finally stopped in front of a two story building which was where me and my team made our temporary headquarters. it wasn't much, considering we rented an entire floor for ourselves but it was only temporary after all. After I finished what I started, my team will be dissolved. It was too dangerous to stick around for too long. I entered the building and took the stairs to the first floor. Halfway there I was hit with a wave of dizziness and I almost tripped over a stair. I sat down and groped in my pocket for my spare medication. I popped a single pill and dry chewed it. I rested my head against the railing and closed my eyes. I'll rest for just one minute. just one minute a minute. before I knew it I was asleep.
The afternoon sun shined on the students of Falmouth Middle School, Maine as they poured out of the school entrance like water out of a tap. It shone on everyone of them, male and female alike. That same sun shone rather brightly on a fourteen year old Allison who was suddenly experiencing a sudden onset of menstrual cramps. She gripped her lower belly and hurried across the parking lot to where her mother's car was parked. She entered and strapped on her seat belt without a single word to her mother sitting in the driver's seat. "Well hello to you too, miss" her mother said in a light tone of voice. Allison made a noise of acknowledgment, rested her head against the window and closed her eyes. She kept them closed as her mother backed out of the schools driveway. She kept them closed when her mother switched on the radio and placed it to a classic music station where a Yanni piece was playing. And because she kept her eyes closed she never saw the SUV ran a red light and rammed into her mother's side of the car causing an accident that would forever change her life.
