The grand Counsel Meeting hall of the Xiao Sect was even more splendid than any commoner would ever imagine.
The group was covered with silver rocks the produced thin white fog high even to reach ones ankle. There were flower pots filled with beautiful flowers all-over the hall and fancy light orbs floated in the air to give light.
The room was very dense in QI and even small strains of energy like thread could be seen. Besides that, the long golden table at the middle of the hall looked very expensive and grand.
With just this hall alone, it could be seen how rich the Xiao sect was.
Xiao Zhan and Xiao Lijuan stepped through the large door and into the hall. In the hall, there where two others. Xiao Delun and another teen they did not know.
They both bowed with cupped hands at Xiao Zhan and Xiao Lijuan as greetings.
"Your highness, Your Grace"
Xiao Zhan quickly recognize the other teen as the commoner who had awaken an SSS ranked talent and a fox related bloodline. Xiao Zhan could remember this because this guy's appearance was not ordinary.
He looked like a young God who had dropped from the heavens. From his stunning whitish blond hair that reaches his waist to his reddish orange eyes and almost white skin, he looked like he just dropped from one of those comic that over feminize males.
Xiao Fang couldn't help but be intrigued.
Xiao Delun on the other hand was also a very handsome male. After his awakening, his hair was now a beautiful dark shades of purple and blue and his shared the two colors, the right purple and left blue. He didn't look feminine at all yet wasn't overly muscular. He had a sharp aura around him, invisible but enough to be noticed.
Besides them, there was no one else in the hall.
Xiao Lijuan didn't make any attempt to socialize with them so Xiao Zhan figure he shouldn't too. It could be because of the difference in status after all, Xiao Lijuan did not allow him to take off his mask before coming here.
After a few minutes of slightly awkward silence, the large door opened again and this time, the sect master and his assistant walked in.
"Greetings, Your Majesty"
"Greetings, father"
The group of teens quickly greet. Only Xiao Lijuan didn't cup her hands as females only bow their head when greeting.
Xiao Huifen waved his hand and they all returned to a relaxed posture. Xiao Huifen walked to his seat at the head to the table
"Sit" he said to the teens
Glancing unconsciously at one another, they all say, two at either sides of the King. It wasn't everyday that the King calls a group of teenagers for a meeting after all so they were all rather confused and alert.
Xiao Huifen didn't have time to beat about the bush and he immediately started the meeting.
"I called you four here specially because of everyone who awakened today, you four were the most exceptional. I want to request your help on behalf of the sect and to an extent, the world" he said.
His words caused the four teens to look at each other even more confused now than when they first got the message of a close door meeting.
"I need you to investigate and eliminate demons" Xiao Huifen dropped the bomb.
What?! was what they four teens screamed in they're heart but they dare not say anything out loud. However, they're expression gave away their shock.
Xiao Huifen continued like he hadn't seen the drastic change in expression of them four
"A few days ago, I received a message from the direct decedents of the great war god. Apparently, the demons have been acting strange lately and they suspect they might be up to no good" he explained.
"But father," Xiao Lijuan said "they want us to investigate? We just awakened. We're no match for even the weakest demon. Besides, our sect hardly have many talented cultivator."
The other nodded in agreement.
Xiao Huifen nodded
"True but there are reasons to send request this from us. For one, you all know that our sect is the only sect that haven't found her protective stone. No one will suspect we will make a move against the demons and even more, who would think that a group of teenagers would be investigating the demons?" He asked "I have considered all these before accepting the request"
"Naturally, we won't just send you out there unprepared. You four will first go to Gushing Spring Academy to study and be trained. It is one of the most secured place in the Black Dragon Nation so you won't encounter any demon during your study. Two year from now, you'll return to the sect for further instructions" Xiao Huifen explained and turned to his assistant.
The young man moved closer to the table and waved his hand in front of the teens. A ring appeared in front of each of them
"Those rings contain everything you'll need for the next two year. You can go back to rest now as you'll be leaving early tomorrow for the Academy. Gushing Spring have an entrance exam and although your entry has been secured, you still have to take the exam so as not to stand out. Are there any question?" Xiao Huifen asked.
"Does anyone in the university know about this?" Xiao Zhan asked immediately.
"No. The only once who know are you four, me, my assistant and the once who sent the request. You should know that this it very important that no one else know as we don't know who can be trusted." Xiao Huifen said and got up "Gather at the front of the palace tomorrow morning by six. Have a good night"
With that, the sect master and his assistant left the hall just as quickly as they had entered.
The hall was quite for a few minutes as everyone reflected on all the information they had just received.
Finally, Xiao Delun dropped his hand on the table loudly
"You've got to be kidding me" he said still in disbelief "We've just awakened and they're sending is off to fight demons?"
The fox boy picked his ring and flipped it, balancing the round surface on his index finger
"Who knew coming here to awaken will be so troublesome" he said and let the ring drop, catching it in a fist, got up and bowed at the two royals.
"Are you leaving?" Xiao Lijuan asked him picking up her ring as well and slipped into into her long delicate fingers then looked at him.
"Yes, princess" the boy replied and looked at all three of them his eyes lingering on Xiao Zhan's face a little "Forgive but I don't like being around people who's face I can't see"
Xiao Zhan reached for his mask.
"Well, we are stuck together from now so I don't see why you can't see our face" he said but Xiao Lijuan quickly grabbed his hand
"It's the rule that you can't reveal your face to anyone outside your biological family till you breakthrough Origin Core Realm. You won't be able to take it off even if you wanted" Xiao Delun explained "I assume His highness already knows of this"
"What if someone mistakenly sees my face?" Xiao Zhan asked
Xiao Lijuan let go of his hand and looked down sadly
"They die" she said in a pained voice that proved she had gone through a situation like that.
"Anyway" the fox boy said to change the topic. "I have to tell my parents I'll be leaving tomorrow so, see you then. Oh and, my name is Li Yuan"
With that, Li Yuan bowed at the two royals again and walked out of the hall. Xiao Zhan picked his ring and slipped it into his finger before getting up, Xiao Lijuan following after him and Xiao Delun got up too.
They all left the hall after a few short words.
