Chereads / A Bizarre & Anomalous Adventure in the SCP Foundation / Chapter 284 - The Alien, the Cyborg, and the General(1)

Chapter 284 - The Alien, the Cyborg, and the General(1)

– New Berlin, Third Reich Germany, Wolfenstein Universe, Year: 1960 - 11:30 AM –

Adolf Hitler, the Führer of the despised Third Reich, sat in his office, meticulously sifting through the SCP documents he had received from Arasaka. These documents, originally obtained in digital form by Revenant, had been printed out for his perusal. He was only halfway through the extensive reading.

After a few moments, he sighed deeply, "Das endet nie (This never ends)"

Suddenly, a portal opened in his office, and a Mangler emerged from it.

"What's the matter? Has Leipzig been captured?" Hitler asked.

The Mangler shook his head. "No, but we have discovered an alternative way to conquer Russia. It doesn't involve pushing through the eastern front but rather achieving our goal from within."

Hitler raised an eyebrow. "How so?"

"You must come with me to discuss it with the group that will execute this plan. We are currently communicating with them through radio in that universe's Berlin. I'll also gather the Forsaken in the meantime."

"Hmmm... Very well. I suppose stretching my legs wouldn't hurt."

Rising from his seat, Hitler approached a coat hanger, took his gray coat and military general visor cap, and then followed the Mangler into the portal as it closed behind them the moment they stepped inside.

In the dark Aether realm, the Forsaken, still in his human form, sat on his crystallized throne, conversing with a group of peculiar alien soldiers he had dispatched to a different universe. He had encountered them in another universe, where he had sent a gigantic alien for testing. Now, he needed to address the issue of their troops being annihilated by a human owl crash-landing on them.

Rubbing his forehead in frustration, the Forsaken tried to recall the report. "Okay, okay, so he crash-landed on your troops and killed them all?"

"Grrrrr..."

"I see," he sighed. "Fine! We'll do it this way. To hell with testing! You will not only go to war in that universe but also here, where the cat is still breathing, and in other places I specify. Let me remind you, I've given you more humans from other universes, increasing your army's numbers to a TRILLION, and I'll raise it to a QUADRILLION in the next few months!"

"Grrrrr..."

"Exactly! We have enough forces to last countless wars! With our increased weapon and vehicle production, thanks to the factories in this realm and the Reich's vehicles, weapons, and robots, we should dominate. Just why does that one universe need to be a pain? Even the overpowered ones need to struggle! Rather than plow us down like crops!" he growled, standing up from his throne. "Deploy your troops to America and Europe, and crush our enemies before they crush us."

"Grrrrr?" one of the alien soldiers asked.

"No! Don't abandon the campaign in that universe yet. Continue it alongside our war here against the cat's universe. Now go and give the orders."

With a wave of his hand, a portal materialized behind the group of alien soldiers. They both entered it and disappeared.

"Well, now I have three armies for this war, my own, the Reich's, and them. I wonder if I can enlist the Helghast, or perhaps the Black Legion or the Necrons from that one universe Rorchevsky mentioned? No, the Legion and the Necrons might be too risky, based on his descriptions."

As he was lost in thought, a portal opened, and a Mangler emerged. The Forsaken noticed his presence and asked him.

"What brings you here?"

"A group known as Raven's Rock wants to discuss with you and the Führer about taking Russia for us without needing to push through the eastern front."

"That's new. Lead me then."

Then the two entered a portal, which closed shortly afterward.

– Berlin, Germany, SCP Universe - 3:18 PM –

General Kroenen stood inside an abandoned bar of a damaged building with a radio on the table in front of him still active and in contact with the group Raven's Rock. Outside, his men continued their job with their war efforts.

"..."

At that moment, a portal opened in the bar, and Kroenen saw Hitler and the Forsaken emerge. Kroenen immediately stood at attention and saluted the Führer.

"Kroenen, Schön dich wieder zu sehen (Kroenen. Good to see you again)" Hitler said.

Kroenen nodded, grateful to see the Führer again after some time.

"They still on the line?" the Forsaken asked, setting his gaze on the radio.

Kroenen nodded in response.

"Well, let's get this over with, shall we?" Hitler said.

The three stood in front of the table and began speaking to the unknown member of Raven's Rock.

"Hello?" Hitler uttered.

"We are on the line now. You may speak," the Forsaken added.

[Yes, I hear you loud and clear, comrades. As I told one of your men, we are Raven's Rock, a faction hidden within Russia with our own set of goals for how Russia should be... controlled.]

"Let me guess. You don't like how it is currently operating and you want to implement your own ideology, philosophies, and ways of guiding it. Am I correct?"

[Yes.]

"That road ain't easy to attain for your faction, so why call us?"

[Because global communications are down due to damaged satellites, creating confusion. This makes it easier for us at Raven's Rock to seize Russia. We have a large army of elite soldiers capable of doing it. While it is vulnerable, our original plan for taking over can be greatly aided by your involvement, and we'll make sure we keep ourselves... in alliance with one another. Just give us the okay, and we'll do it now.]

"Hmmm..."

"Hmmmmm..."

For a few moments, both leaders of each faction were deep in thought.

[Well?]

Hitler nodded. "Very well then."

"Do as you wish," the Forsaken followed. "Take control of Russia, and our alliance will be sealed, Raven's Rock."

[Consider it done. Dasvidaniya.]

Once the person finished speaking, he cut off the communication from his end, leaving silence on the radio.

"It looks like all we can do now is continue our Europe and America campaigns while they handle their own," Hitler remarked.

"This is good for us," the Forsaken replied. "We won't have to waste men and resources pushing into Russia."

"Ja."

"Also, Führer, Kroenen," he called out to the two, gaining their attention. "We have new allies of alien origin."

Gesturing for them to follow him outside, they did as ordered and were soon met with an army of alien soldiers emerging from portals and marching down the streets.

These alien soldiers were known as the Chimera.

"Well, this is a surprise, but a welcome one," Hitler said with a smile. He turned his gaze to the Forsaken, and was about to ask a question, only for the latter to silence him.

"Don't worry, they won't hurt us," the Forsaken assured him. "I made sure of it through my talks with them."

"I see. Want to join me in my office for lemon tea?"

"I don't require food, but I can still taste it. So, yes, I'll join I guess."

"Wunderbar."

A moment later, a portal opened, and the two entered before it closed while Kroenen watched the Chimera army march down the streets and followed them as they continued their war efforts.

– Site-300, Russia - 9:00 PM –

In Site-300, somewhere in Russia, Alexei Belitrov, known by the SCP Foundation as SCP-2273 and the one who met Michelle back in Kamchatka, was in an operating room with other operators. For the last few hours, they had been trying to make contact with other Foundation sites worldwide, but to no avail since the enemy had sabotaged satellite communications. They had no clue about the war unfolding in America and Europe.

"Anything yet?" Alexei asked.

"No, still in the dark," one of the operators replied.

Alexei grunted. "Something isn't right. There's something going on that we're not aware of, and it's bugging me more than it should. Keep trying."

The operator nodded and continued his work until an MTF agent came running into the room in a panic.

"Alexei! We have a problem!" he said breathlessly.

"Take a breath, comrade."

The agent took a deep breath and began to explain. "I was patrolling with my team in Moscow for any SCP-966 or Sarkicism activity. Then, unknown soldiers with armored APCs and tanks started moving through the streets. At first, I thought the Russian government was sending more forces to the war with Ukraine, that is until I noticed they bore an unknown logo I've never seen before, though they are Russian, I know that much. My team and I got out of there and made it back here."

"What?" Alexei frowned and looked at the operator. "Put up every security camera feed we have in Russia on the TV screens in this room."

The operator nodded. "Got it."

As he put up the camera feeds on the screens, they showed countless armed soldiers moving across the streets of Russia, backed by armored vehicles bearing an unfamiliar logo.

The logo of Raven's Rock, and they had begun their takeover plan.

"Oh no," Alexei muttered as he looked at the agent. "Please tell me you weren't followed."

"I don't think so."

But then, the operator noticed something on one of the camera feeds and frowned. "No, you didn't," he said, pointing to one of the screens, which showed the forest outside Site-300. Tanks and armored vehicles were approaching the site, and suddenly, the camera feeds went offline.

"Damn, we lost the feeds. They must be blocking us with something."

"How did they find us? I swear we didn't get followed," the MTF agent said.

"It doesn't matter. We need to evacuate the site personnel and the SCPs," Alexei said.

"We're not going to fight back?"

"With the SCPs here, especially the Keter ones, it's too risky. This unknown faction just came out of the shadows and is everywhere in Russia. Their numbers could be large, and they have firepower behind them. It's a risk I don't want to take with personnel here who can't fight. They come first and foremost while the other second, you get me?"

"Alright, I'll warn everyone to evacuate. But how do we leave? We can't go through the top or the helipad given they might be waiting outside."

"Oh, comrade, there is always a way, which I know. Just warn everyone and get them to follow me."

"Got it."

Then they all quickly started their evacuation plan as Raven's Rock forces headed for the site.

———————————————————

Outside Site-300, a large number of soldiers, along with tanks and armored vehicles, stood in front of the twenty-foot square-shaped building that housed the site. These soldiers bore a different symbol.

That of a wolf.

This was the elite spec ops unit codenamed Bodark. They are part of the Raven's Rock faction and act as their elite unit in the army.

"Approach the building," one of them muttered.

The spec ops team approached the building carefully and tactically with their guns ready. Finding no one on the surface, they entered the elevators leading to the underground floors, where most Foundation site facilities were typically located. However, all they found was nothing but empty offices, SCP chambers, and D-Class cells... literally everything was deserted.

Annoyed, one of the spec ops operatives spoke into his radio, "General Bukharov, the place is empty. They must've bailed out."

General Bukharov's voice crackled through the radio. [Are you sure?]

"Yes, everything is empty. Even the hard drives and discs from their computers and servers have been taken. They must've used a hidden path in this facility to escape, but we don't know where it is. We'll keep searching."

[Continue doing so. Then destroy the place once done.]

"Da, general."

With that, the Bodark continued their search.

———————————————————

General Bukharov, a member of Raven's Rock, stood outside Site-300 next to an armored vehicle. He had come here to oversee the operation alongside the elite Bodark unit.

Next to him was shockingly an MTF soldier.

As it turned out, this MTF soldier was actually a spec ops operative from Bodark, a spy who had infiltrated the Foundation to monitor their activities for a long time. Thanks to Bodark's espionage, Raven's Rock had known about the Foundation's existence for quite some time.

"You sure they never mentioned an escape route?" the General asked the Foundation traitor.

"No, Alexei never mentioned it, and I never found it. Good thing I exited the site before you arrived, but I'm sorry, General. You couldn't catch them."

"It won't matter. A new era begins for this country with Raven's Rock guiding it the way we want and showing the world our might. Join the takeover with the rest of Raven's Rock in Moscow and eliminate Putin. I'll stay here."

The spec ops soldier nodded and headed out.

"Wonder how they escaped, though?" the General mused.

———————————————————

Alexei and the rest of the Site-300 personnel, along with the SCPs, were making their way down a mining tunnel that Site-300 had been built over. Knowing this, Alexei had led them to the very last floor of the site, where he broke a piece of the wall of an SCP chamber, revealing the hidden tunnel they were now traversing.

"To think the site was built over a mine, talk about luck," remarked the same MTF agent.

"This tunnel will lead us to an airfield that belongs to the Foundation," Alexei stated. "I hope this faction hasn't reached it yet."

———————————————————

In an open airfield miles away from Site-300, three large cargo planes waited in the hangars with their pilots and guards from the SCP Foundation roaming the area. Nearly a hundred meters from the airfield, a hatch on the ground opened, and Alexei, along with the rest of Site-300 personnel, emerged and approached the airfield, until one of the guards spotted them.

"Alexei?! Is that you?"

"Da, comrade. Load those planes with the people and SCPs I brought from Site-300 now. An unknown faction is taking over Russia, and we're caught in the crossfire. Communications with sites worldwide are still down."

"What?! You're joking, right?"

"No, I'm dead serious."

"Oh god," the guard clicked his tongue. "We'll load them up, but where will we go?"

"To Director Zolgamax Jones in America to find out what's going on. I fear it's something big. Now, let's move, people!"

They quickly loaded the personnel and SCPs into the three cargo planes, fueled them up, and took off, heading for America. As they flew into the sky, the entirety of Russia fell under the control of Raven's Rock in a single night. Raven's Rock and the Bodark soldiers celebrated their successful takeover in the cities.

It is something that the Forsaken didn't expect but it was worth it for him, his allies and his army.

"We'll save it when we come back, but for now, we need to meet up with old friends and regroup before returning with a plan," Alexei said solemnly.
