Chapter 209 - Ghouls and Dragons(4)

Back at Alucard's sub-basement, Alcina was clearly outmatched, as her body was completely filled with injuries from the countless gun shots she received from Luke, but she was still standing, despite the large amount of blood loss as she was staring down on the floor.

Luke believed he really had the battle in his favor. That he could win. That he may surpass Alucard and perhaps destroy Alcina for insulting him. Once he's done here, he'll go find Alucard and kill him, along with the rest of the people in the manor since that was the order given to them to be carried out by this "Millennium".

After ceasing his gun firing and putting down his rifle, Luke stood in one place and said something unpleasant to Alcina.

"Fool! Can't you see I was handcrafted to kill even the great Alucaed!? My speed, my strength, and my stamina all rival-... nay, dwarf all of you! In comparison to you, I am a demigod!"

There is a brief pause as silence engulf the whole basement with Alcina registers what has just been said.

"...Really?"

"Really."

"Really!?"

"Really!"

"REALLY?!" exclaimed Alcina as she gazed at Luke with an excited bloody face.

"Really!"

In an instant, her mutant regenerating abilities were activated, causing all of Alcina's wounds to recover in mere seconds.

"Hahahaha…"

Alcina's laughter boomed across the silent basement as soon as her healing abilities were finished.

"In that case, can a demigod such as yourself face…" she retracted her claws and brought her hands together in front of her, closing her eyes as a vortex of shadows swirled up around her.

Luke's eyes narrowed and he watched intently as the cloud of shadows completely enveloped Alcina, shrouding her from view. Glowing golden eyes began opening within the dark vortex, dozens of them, each one immediately locking onto him.

This made Luke feel anxious for some reason.

Finally, the shadows melted away, and Alcina Dimitrescu stood revealed once more.

While the rest of her body remained unchanged, her eyes were blazing with golden fire, her skin was even more pale than before, almost translucent, with dark veins pulsing beneath the surface, she had both her claws out but were much longer and deadlier looking, she had white antler type horns on her head that tore through her hat, and a tail covered in white fur.

Most impressively of all, a pair of huge, batlike wings had erupted from her back, unfolding behind her and creating a rush of wind with a single powerful flap.

This was Alcina's half-dragon form.

"...A Dragon."

The moment Alcina finished her sentence, Luke took a step back with a surprise look on his face.

"You're a dragon?! I've seen only vampires and werewolves! How!?"

"Fuck you, that's how. Pardon my French."

Luke growled, "Even if you transform yourself into a lizard, that doesn't change anything!" he said, raising his rifle and fired with a clap of thunder.

Alcina grinned savagely, "Oh, how wrong you are."

Just as the round was about to hit home, however, there was another blur of incredibly-fast movement, and the bullet was deflected off-course. It punched a fist-sized crater into the wall nearby, but missed its intended target completely.

Luke's eyes widened and his previous expression bruptly faded, as he took in the sudden change that the tall woman had undergone. One of her hands was now raised across her chest, and her silver nails had elongated into long, razor-sharp steel talons, each were way longer than a normal human's whole forearm. A single flick of those deadly blades had neatly deflected the bullet before it could reach her.

With a predatory smile on her face, Alcina purred, "Cute~"

With a mere wave of her hand, Luke's arm was suddenly torn off, much to his shock.

'Such speed!' Luke mentally shouted, and for the first time, he felt incredible shock from the speed Alcina performed and had managed to sever one of his limbs without him even reacting to it.

Slamming his foot on the ground, and like a human cannon, Luke instantly springs back in a blur, seeking to distance himself from Alcina as his instincts scream at him, telling him that there is something horrifying from this towering woman's form than meets the eye.

"You know what, I have enough of this!" he roared, "I will not die here by an oversized lizard bitch! I need to kill Alucard!"

"Are you addressing me?"

Halting themselves, Alcina and Luke both stare at the dark corner where someone walks out of it, revealing himself to be Alucard.

"You were here the whole time?" Alcina narrowed her eyes as she asked.

Alucard grinned, "Of course, such a performance from yours is quite remarkable, and the battle itself is incredibly entertaining to watch, and I regret not joining."

Stepping forward with a solemn expression, Luke spoke out, "Alucard, finally we have meet, we should-"

"Hold it right there," Alucard interrupts him, "I have seen enough, and I decided to end this right now."

"Then end it right away! Vampire ki-"

Before Luke knew, the world surrounding him turned into a pure darkness, and from this darkness, countless eyes emerged and every one of them was locked on Luke, forcing him to a standstill. Fear, as he had never felt ever since he first became a vampire, engulfed his being and reached his dissipating soul, the self-proclaimed vampire demigod shuddered and felt he was about to flee in terror.

The black sigils on the backs of his white gloves lit up with a deep red light, as numerous glowing red eyes began to open among the shadows that were swirling around him. His hands wove back and forth, tracing an intricate pattern in the air, before his fingertips came together to form a square in front of him as a larger blood-red eye opened in the center of his chest.

"Releasing Control-Art Restraint Levels Three… Two… One."

For a moment, Alucard's entire form seemed to rip itself apart, dissolving into a storm of red-and-black shadows, a shadow-type ethereal essence, a twisted amalgamation of flesh with numerous red eyes formed and centipedes started appearing on the ground and crawling towards Luke as he watched in complete horror.

"W-What the fuck?!"

Before Luke can make any move, a massive dog, Alucard's many familiars within his soul known as Baskerville, emerges from the shadow.

Baskerville roars out and charges Luke, attempting to chomp him, but he hastily jumps away from the monster and lets out a scream of terror as he starts to run away towards the hole that Alcina made with a mere wooden chair some minutes ago like a coward.

Out of Baskerville's shadow emerged Alucard's arm with Jackal in his grip. He then fired a shot from his weapon which severed one of Luke's legs, but the latter decided to continue hopping towards the stairs, but suddenly his other leg was severed from Alcina at lightning fast speed, causing him to fall next to the steps of the stairs and look up.

To his dismay, he only found it was a long way from reaching the top.

"Aaaawwwwwww, fuck!"

Turning around with his last remaining arm supporting him, Luke stares at Alucard who coalesced back into his physical body again.

But this time, his appearance was different. His usual red coat and hat were gone, replaced by a black, form-fitting bodysuit that bore a vague resemblance to a straightjacket, although his arms were free to move instead of being trapped across his chest. His long black hair now had a much more untamed look to it, almost spiky, instead of being straight and silky as it had been before.

Dozens of burning red eyes filled the shadows around him, blazing with predatory intent.

Along woth him was Alcina, holding one of his severed legs.

"What....What the hell are you two?!"

"The night is still long!" Alucard said savagely. His voice was deeper and harsher than before, and it was still layered upon itself as if a chorus of the damned was echoing his every word.

"Regenerate your legs!" Alcina brutally exclaimed as she crushed his swollen leg with her fist.

"Summon up your demons!"

"Get up! Come on!"

"Fight us!"

"The fun has just begun!"

Like a pair of giant monsters looking down on the small creature like prey, both of them simultaneously spoke with a massive devilish smile on their faces.

"Shut up, you damn monsters!"

The smile on the two's faces faded away, replaced by a disappointed look that took their place.

"This is unexpected," Alcina frowned as she shook her head, "I thought you were a fighter."

"But you're just like the rest." Alucard added.

"Shut up!" Luke scowled as he accusingly pointing at Alucard, "You, Alucard, are nothing more than a dog to the hellsing organization, and you, Dimitrescu, are a goddamn bi-"

"Silence!" Alucard roared, causing the basement to tremble before his might.

"!?"

"I'm a dog?" Alucard deeply asks as he brings Baskerville from his shadow, "Then your dog food."

With a ferocious growl, the Baskerville charged towards Luke and began to rip and tear him up before devouring him... until it was done.

"Such a disappointment he was." Alucard coldly said.

Alcina nodded, "Seems like he was more nothing than dog shit."

"His abilities were above the higher category of any vampires, but as you said, in the end, he was more like dog shit." Alucard chuckled in amusement before examining Alcina's half dragon form, "So a dragon, huh?"

"Yes, is there a problem?"

"No, just surprised by the form that's all."

"Mister Alucard! Lady Dimitrescu!"

Just then, the two gazed up the stairs to see Walter at the top of it.

"My god, you're a dragon, lady Dimitrescu!?" Walter exclaimed as soon as he lay his eyes on Alcina's new appearance.

"Why are you here, Walter?" Alucard asked.

Walter breaks from his thoughts and responds, "Right! Sir Rodeo has requested all of us to be at the ground floor main entrance doors now for a plan against the next wave of dark aether forces."

"What!? Why hasn't anyone told me this sooner!" Alcina exclaimed angrily.

"Because we couldn't find you at first." Walter answered before returning his gaze at Alucard, "Mister Alucard, Sir Integra has also strictly ordered you to follow the young man's instructions."

"...Very well then."

"Let's move out!" Alcina declared, grabbing Alucard by the waist and used her dragon wings to fly up towards Walter.

"Oh no-"

Walter's sentence was cut short when Alcina grabbed him as well and took off for the main floor, clutching both Alucard and Walter in her arms... like children.

"...This is embarrassing."
