Chapter 199 - An Unexpected Turn of Events(6)

In about ten minutes or so, the group finally arrived at the cavern, which was quite vast in size and saw it in full display. In the center of the cavern was the dark aether orb hovering in the air with dark aether crystals seen growing out of the cavern walls, the ceiling, and ground visible all around the cavern.

"So this is the dark aether when it tries to enter someone's world?" Alcina asked as her attention riveted on the orb.

Rodeo nodded, "Yes, it is."

"So where's the Forsaken?" Daniela asked.

At that moment, the entire cavern froze over and everyone's body jolted to a halt. Taking a look at the dark aether orb, they were able to see the dark aether orb in the middle started expanding a little and began morphing itself into a light purple colored portal.

Slowly, out of the portal came a man with pale skin, wearing a WW2  era soldier uniform and a gas mask that covered his entire head.

Everyone stopped breathing the moment the man appeared. While the man that stepped out of the portal did not seem threatening in appearance, it caused everyone, including Miranda's chest constricted and a suffocating feeling settled inside of their body and soul.

"Kazimir Zykov, or should I call you the Forsaken?" Rodeo, who was among those who seemed to resist the oppressive atmosphere, spoke out solemnly.

"I am not Kazimir Zykov. Nor am I the Forsaken. I am both."

"I don't get it." Karl said in confusion.

"You were once human until you were sent into the dark aether... before becoming something else entirely," Rodeo stated before questioning, "Why take a human form though?"

"I was planning on dropping your guard, but it seems like you know about me... Otherworlder."

"Otherworlder?" Alcina asked in curiosity.

"A term cosmic beings like me use to describe that individual or certain creatures are from another universe," The Forsaken explained, pointing to Rodeo, "Like this one."

"So you know?"

"Yes, I do." Forsaken said with a scowl look beneath his mask, "You all have been a thorn to my plans for days now, and this time I'll finish the job myself. This world will be consumed. You cannot stop it."

As soon as he finished those words, his body began to transform back into his hundred-foot-tall monster form as his shadow casted the group and the surrounding area into darkness.

"That's… one big son of a bitch." Karl commented, laying his widened eyes on the massive entity as his cigarette fell off from his open mouth.

[If you can't get someone to get certain things done, then you gotta do it yourself.]

Since he lacked any legs, the Forsaken floated in the air, laughing evilly as Rodeo and his allies prepared themselves for a fight.

"Let's breakdown, Forsaken."

*Music Play — JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable*

As soon as the music began, several purple spheres materialized in the air, blossomed the area into purple light, and under Rodeo and his allies' astonished gaze, the purple spheres flew towards them simultaneously in wild flurries.

"Scatter!"

Everyone immediately scattered left and right, avoiding the spheres. Alcina then sent a swarm of flies towards the Forsaken, hoping to keep him blinded and occupied as he struggled to get them off his face.

"Charge me, Karl!" Rodeo yelled.

"Got it!" Karl exclaimed as he pressed a button on his electro uber backpack, releasing a charged beam that struck Rodeo's armor, sending Rodeo into overdrive as he began firing his armor's gatling guns into the Forsaken's face.

The Forsaken instantly swatted the flies away that were bugging him with his colossal size hand before receiving a barrage of super-charged bullets, but he only seemed annoyed. In response from the attack, he materialized a massive dark aether crystal in the air and launched it at the ground next to their feet, causing an explosion and sending everyone flying and crashing into a wall.

[Pathetic first try.]

Extending her black wings, Miranda flies at the Forsaken and slashes his neck, unfortunately her attack does not appear to leave a mark. Grumbling in annoyance, the Forsaken tried to grab her, but she rapidly flew around his colossal arm and slashed his face once she reaches him before flying around him at blinding speed, avoiding his grasp.

[Stop flying around so that I can kill you!] The Forsaken shouted in annoyance, but was suddenly hit in the back by an acid geyser. He quickly looked down and saw who had done it, Moreau

"Uhhhh…"

[Die!]

Screaming in rage, the Forsaken opened its mouth and was about to blow out a deadly attack at Moreau.

"Oh shit!" Exclaimed Moreau as he attempts to avoid the incoming blast. Unfortunately, due to his poor pace, he was unable to evade it in time.

Watching as the cosmic monster was about to unleash its dangerous attack that could disintegrate everything in its wake, Miranda immediately grabs Moreau and flies back just in time to avoid a massive beam of purple light that impacted the earth.

By the time it blasted the area where Moreau was, it was instantly disintegrating into particles.

"Thank you, mother." Moreau cried joyfully to Miranda, tears flowing down in his eyes before giving a glance to the hole and could not help but sucked in a breath of fresh air.

Below the hole lay a dark chasm that reached no end. If not for Miranda's interference, his body would've been completely destroyed, probably even his soul.

As Rodeo and Karl stood up in the distance, the two noticed Miranda and Moreau were busy fighting the Forsaken, with Miranda flying around and using Moreau as a weapon against him, but there was a new problem. Dark aether zombies were emerging from the tunnels, and Alcina and her daughters were currently busy taking them down.

"These never stop!" shouted Alcina.

"More problems, great." Karl grumbled as he rapidly ripped off all of the metal from the armor of the Krasny Soldats and Manglers and sent them hurling towards the Forsaken's face at tremendous speed, forcing the Forsaken to shield his face from the incoming metals.

Snapping his fingers from his free hand, countless pillars made of dark aether crystals rise from the ground beneath Rodeo and Karl's feet in order to impale them, but they immediately jump out the moment they emerged, completely avoiding them.

"Sheer Heart Attack!"

As Rodeo shouted these words, he summoned Sheer Heart Attack and grabbed it before throwing it at the Forsaken.

"Kocchi wo Miro!"

[What?]

Before Forsaken could understand what the small object had said, Sheer Heart Attack collided into his face.

BOOOOOMMM!!!

A massive explosion erupted, causing a massive damage to the surroundings with dust forming everywhere, blinding everyone's vision.

As Rodeo calls back Sheer Heart Attack, he suddenly feels Miranda lands next to him.

"Did it work?" She asked.

"...I don't know."

After the cloud of dust faded away, the Forsaken was seen completely unharmed, not even a single mark on its crystallized body could be seen.

[Fools! I am a cosmic monster and ruler of the Dark Aether! If you had Dark Aether based weaponry or entities on your side you could have harmed me, thus your attempts to kill me are useless, and with the portal open, the dark aether will consume your world! It is inevitable!]

Soon after, an endless number of zombies entered the cavern, and Rodeo and the rest started attacking them as the Forsaken laughed.

[Hahahahahaha! It's time for me to begin opening the portals all across the world.]

Unbeknownst to the Forsaken, however, someone else was in the cavern, who turned out to be Donna & Angie.

Donna and Angie decided to follow the group since they were finished with their part at the village and wanted to help.  The two were currently hidden behind a boulder covered in dark aether crystals, and as they peered to the right, they noticed the portal, which was still active and emitted more zombies. They also carried a sack with them that contained various items.

'How can we stop this?' They both thought.

The others were currently distracted by the zombies, and the two have yet to be spotted by them or the Forsaken. Just then, amongst the millions of dark aether crystals that surround the two, one of them fell off from the boulder they were hiding behind and noticed it was trembling and flickering a little.

Perhaps it was unstable.

Donna and Angie examined the portal, followed by the unstable dark aether crystal. For a brief while, something occurred in their minds, prompting the two check the sack which contained two flowers in a flower pot, two small ropes, and one dynamite.

"Are we thinking the same thing to do?" Angie asked.

"Yes, if what he said about being harmed by dark aether or anything related to it was true, we'll take our chances with this." Donna replied as she examined the crystal closely.

Grabbing the unstable dark aether crystal, Angie handed it to Donna, who quickly used the ropes to wrapped the dynamite around the crystal before shrinking the wick and lighting it with a matchstick.

Moving out of her cover, Donna proceeds to throw it towards the Forsaken, only for it to bounce off his head when it makes an impact for the crystal to fall close to the portal.

[Hm?]

With his non-existent eyes furrowed, the Forsaken glanced down and noticed Donna & Angie below him.

[What are...]

All of a sudden, the Forsaken sensed something unstable near to the portal, leading him to instantly glance at the portal and see the unstable dark aether crystal next to it with a dynamite wrapped around it, causing his jaw to drop in horror.

[You imbeciles!]

Boom!
