Chapter 29 - Revelation

(Back to Site-19)

Continuing with the previous chapter, the three continue having interviews with The World who goes by the name of Evan Williams.

"You were being hunted down by the Global Occult Coalition?" Emma asked after hearing Evan's explanation.

"If that's what you call them, then yeah I was. Don't know how they found me but they've been trying to kill me for days. But thanks to my ability I survived without killing any of those guys... ok I think I might have broken some of their bones in some cases. Then after days of walking and hiding from those guys, I felt it. I felt a type of energy related to time and it was Rodeo."

"I see. Amelia... Amelia?" Emma looked at Amelia who was staring at Rodeo.

Rodeo was silent again but this silence felt longer.

"Also when I was trying to find Rodeo and Amelia, I found a helicopter wreckage with some dead soldiers which had a logo of some sort, which was different from those coalition guys who were trying to kill me... hey, are you two even listening?" Evan noticed both of them were staring at someone and that someone was Rodeo. "Dude, you alright?"

"What did you do after you found them?" Rodeo asked in a low voice.

Realizing something, Evan asked, "You two were in the helicopter, weren't you?"

Rodeo and Amelia nodded.

Evan sighs, "Since I didn't want to see the poor souls just lie there, so I buried them and mourned for them. They're in a better place now."

Rodeo then approached him, "Thank you, Evan."

Evan stood up, "No problem man." He then looks at Emma, "After that, I kept walking through the forest trying to find Rodeo but it then turned into night and since the coalition was everywhere I had to settle somewhere safe. Then next morning I continued my search and then I finally found you ready to be food for that siren freak and we all know what happened after that."

"Well, that should give us some information regarding how you found Rodeo and Dr. Buck. Thank you for your cooperation, Evan Williams."

"You're welcome."

Emma turns off the tape recorder while Rodeo was rubbing his chin and was in deep thought.

"Something on your mind, Rodeo?" Amelia asked.

"Yeah." Rodeo responded before looking at Evan, "Evan, what day was it when you got the helmet?"

"Well it was the 26th of February, 2021. And like I said in my interview it was morning."

"26th of February. Hmm... I think I see a pattern here."

"What sort of pattern?"

"Amelia when did I show up on site-17? Date I mean."

"Well, you showed up on the 26th of February of this year. Our world's... year..." She stopped her words, realizing where this was going.

"I got the helmet as well. In my world it was the 26th of February, 2021, but it was evening time since I was in Bahrain."

Evan also realized the revelation, "Yeah, I think I know where this is going. The helmet's might have been delivered to everyone on the same date but different times, and when we first showed up in this world it was also 26th February in this world as well. This can't be a coincidence. Which means..."

"Other humans who have become a Stand might have arrived here on the same date as us. But the locations could be different for all Stands. Like me being in site-17 and you being in the forest." Rodeo concluded.

Rodeo's right hand shakes a little bit but he uses his left hand to calm it down.

Rodeo then says, "Then no doubt fate will guide them to us or guide us to them. Just like you and me."

"Or if one of them is a Range Irrelevant Stands, Integrated Type Stands or time-based Stands, there's a chance they will get drawn to us."

"Yeah, that also."

"Ok, I'm completely not following any of you." Amelia said to the two, feeling completely lost there.

Rodeo sighs and turns to Emma, "Your O5 right?"

"Yes."

"Then can I trust you with what I'm about to say?"

"Rodeo, are you sure about this?" Amelia asked in concern.

"Amelia, more Stand's could be out there spread across the world and we need all the help we can get. Even from a higher up like her."

"Can you tell me at least what you want to trust me with?" Emma asked.

"Alright, I'll tell you."

(After one explanation of him knowing about the SCP's and his and Evan's world having no SCP's later.)

"Rodeo... you have very dangerous intel. You know that right." She said in shock.

"And that's why I'm trusting you to use your O5 position to get more intel on any activity related to Stands because believe me you don't want to mess with Stands. They are as dangerous and unpredictable as SCPs, Ms. Emma." Rodeo said in a serious tone.

Emma sighed, "I'll see what I can do, but for now who knows about you being from a world where SCP's don't exist and that you have knowledge about every single one of them."

"Me, Amelia and... Collingwood and count Evan as well."

"Isn't the SCP Foundation that horror monster wiki thing on the internet? Because I'm not a horror fan at all. Not because I'm scared, it's because it's not my type of entertainment, or I have my likes and dislikes." Evan said truthfully.

"Well that explains a lot. No wonder why you have no knowledge regarding the factions and SCPs. You're a disgrace to the horror communities." Rodeo said in disappointed by Evan.

"Whatever man."

"I hope you know what you're doing, Rodeo." Amelia said.

Rodeo replied, "I know what I'm doing , Amelia."

"Well, don't tell this to anyone and just stay safe. You might have lived in a world with no SCPs, but now here you are sharing a building with the monsters. See you three later." Evan said before turning to The World, "Also Evan."

"Yeah?"

"Follow the guards outside. They will take you to your containment cell."

Evan nods and then Emma leaves the room.

"Well looks like I'll be in my cozy cell then. See you two later." Evan then leaves the room as well.

(Inside an Elevator, Site-19 - 2:30 PM)

Rodeo and Amelia were inside an elevator, heading for the upper levels.

"Rodeo, you were silent back at the interview. Were you experiencing another flashback?" Amelia asked.

"Amelia, it was only for a second I saw those flashes. It wasn't too severe like the last time."

"I see."

"Amelia, do you think fate brought me here to bring some sort of change to this world."

"I'm not sure myself."

Rodeo scoffs, "Of course."

There was silence between the two for a moment until Amelia said.

"Rodeo, if fate brought you here then I'm not sure of all the worlds, why here? You shouldn't be here, Rodeo. You should be back in your own world rather than this nightmare."

"Wow, the stone cold doctor has a heart. No wonder ever since I showed up you've been showing me new emotions."

"You know why Rodeo?"

"Why?"

"You're one of those people who understood my past, showed kindness to me, which I never really got most of the time, even from my parents and you were there... to protect me and ready to risk your life. I'm... glad to have you as a friend."

Rodeo was surprised by her reason. But it did make sense. The scp world was hell either way and kindness was mostly a rarity.

"Yeah, I'm glad as well." Rodeo looked at his bandaged hands and saw blood only for a second then it was gone. Rodeo gripped his hands for a moment.

"Want me to remove them?"

"Yeah."

Amelia then started removing the bandages off his right and left hand, while Rodeo was just waiting.

'I'm not sure what fate has in store for me and the other Stands out there, but I will be ready.' Rodeo thought to himself.

Amelia removed the bandages from both of his hands and surprisingly the burn marks heal, although some scars were left behind.

The elevator doors opened, getting off the elevator and started walking down the hallway.

"Amelia, I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"Why did you kiss me on the forehead back in the shower room?"

"Tried to calm you down, like a mother would do to his child. Something which my mother did only once in her life."

"Sorry."

"It's ok. Like I said back in site-17 my childhood wasn't the best."

"Yeah, but hey at least you have friends like me, Collingwood, Green and Lawrence on your side."

"True," Amelia then thought of something, "Let's hope it stays that way."

(O5 Council Meeting Room, Location: [REDACTED] - 9:00 PM)

The O5 council members as usual were sitting on their chairs discussing the new Stand that they had in custody, even Emma was in the meeting room as well.

One of the O5s said, "First SCP-6601, and now we have an entity who can literally stop time for a few seconds or more. What's next, an entity that can skip time?"

"Your concern is reasonable, but again if there are more of these so-called Stands out there we could have potential new allies, and since Emma gave a full report on what happened, let's just say I'm impressed." O5-1 stated.

"Can't believe they survived against the Siren Head of all entities." Another O5 member said.

The fourth O5 member nodded, "Yeah, speaking of Siren Head, didn't one of our teams capture it without any casualty since the entity was already injured."

"Yes they did actually thanks to Evan and Rodeo doing most of the work for us."

"Yes, that they did." Emma, who seated amongst the O5 Council nodded her head, "But regarding the Stands. They could be more out there spread across the world. So I suggest we put all foundation sites and MTF teams on high alert."

"Yes, that would be a wise decision. Now are we all in agreement?" O5-1 announced.

All the council members nodded in agreement with none objecting to anything.

"Okay, while the Scarlet King might be locked away for now, thanks to the efforts of one man named Cory and even though we broke our alliance with the GOC after that incident. But now Cory's body is being recovered from the Chaos Insurgency with his body emanating the same negative energy the king had and with these Stands appearing out of nowhere across Earth, we my friends must be prepared for what's coming to us." O5-1 said in a very serious tone.

'Well Rodeo, I did my part now it's time you did yours.' Emma thought.

(Italy, Europe - 10:00 PM)

In the alleyways of Italy, a man was wobbling around with his eyes being baggy as if he had never gotten any sleep for a long time.

At the next second, the man fell on the ground unconscious.

Suddenly an invisible force lifts him up by the collar and reveals itself.

It was an instance of SCP-966 , "The Sleep Killers."

966 was about to devour him until suddenly a figure emerged from 966's own shadow and punched a hole right through his heart killing the monster instantly, going limp dropping the man on the ground in the process.

The figure that killed 966 then said in a Spanish language.

"Bueno, eso estuvo cerca."

(Translation: Well, that was close.)

The figure looked at the man and checked on him. Luckily the man is still sleeping. He then jumps into a shadow and then emerges from the shadow on the top of the roof of a building.

He looked over the edge and saw the beautiful city in all its glory.

With the lights from the buildings brightens the whole area, it reveals a glimpse of the figure's appearance, revealing to be none other than...
