The sky darkened as Frede held his hand up to summon meteor. His face twisted into a deranged look, eyes blazing with a manic light. I could feel the astral light around us vibrating, as if in anticipation of the powerful spell about to be unleashed.
Marla stepped forward, her voice steady and strong as she spoke directly to Frede. "You can't do this, Frede. Think about the innocent people down there. They have nothing to do with this."
Frede sneered at her, his hand still raised. "I don't care about them. Justice must prevail, no matter the cost."
I could feel the tension building, and I knew we were running out of time. If we didn't act fast, we would all be caught in the destructive blast of the meteor spell.
"Marla's right, Frede," I said, my voice shaking with anger. "You're putting innocent lives in danger. Is that really what justice looks like to you?"
