Angela walks to sit beside Lora in the hall as the ladies were gathered to listen to Lady Annabelle instructions.
Lady Annabelle stood at the front, facing them as she spoked to them, "This my assistant Binta Davis. She gave birth and was on her maternity leave long before your girls were brought into this palace, Am speaking about the new sets among us, as the old sets knows very much about her."
Lady Annabelle walks up and down as she spoked.
"Tomorrow we will start a new activity which is only opened to the first and second set as his majesty King Mark Gerald sent his orders that any of those set are free to marry any of the males that comes to the royal palace tomorrow for the activity. You're not allowed to run or forced into accepting any of the men but you will only gain your freedom by accepting the beast-man that comes to ask for your hands in marriage. Those that wouldn't be participating and those that also rejected the proposal will continue and remain as a slave here in this palace. is that understood?"
"Yes Ma'am" They replied and she nods.
"Fine you can all return back to what you were doing before and Lora select some of your colleagues to go and assist you in preparing the dinner!" Lady Annabelle dismissed them.
Lora stood up with a frown as she wants to ask Angela about her first session in bathing the king as she saw Angela's face burning red when she returned and stepped into the hall.
She smiles to Angela as she stood up to go prepare their dinner which was a cooked rice and vegetables sauce as she called out nine more of her colleagues and they walked out from the hall, going towards the kitchen to start their preparations.
Angela sighs after Lora left. She meet Tana intent gaze on her and she smiles to Tana faintly but Tana rather looked away from her. She sighs as she stood up and walk into the corridor downstairs going towards the room she shares with some of her colleagues.
She walk passed some other rooms used by some previous set and finally got to their room door and she knocks and steps in..
Juliet, Shawn, Salma were already in the room and the rest of the girls were throwing questions at them.
"Juliet I saw you just now smiling when you stepped into the hall. I thought you said the king isn't handsome, would you still say that now?" Nikita asked as the room was filled with different talks and questioning.
As Nikita saw Angela, she quickly rushed up to her and asked, "Angela!, and you too, You three were behaving holy yesterday, how do you fancy the handsome naked king today that you went to bath him?" Nikita asked aloud and Angela swallowed.
"Shush Nikita, You will land us in trouble" Angela replied and quickly walk passed her and the rest of the girls bursted out laughing except for Esther who quiet, remembering the king had choked her neck.
"What did I ask wrong?, When I was tell you girls yesterday, Some of you were ranting, now see all your faces" Nikita blurted out and they smiled and stared away from her as Angela climbs up on the bed she shares with Esther.
Nikita was a slim figured beauty and also fair but not as white as Angela. They were all fair in complexion but Angela was the only white human amongst them.
"What's up with you Esther, This one you're not saying anything?" Nikita asked as she walks up to meet Esther, where she stood beside the bed, she shares with Angela.
"Nothing " Esther faintly replied and stares away from Nikita.They were laughing, but she remembered the king didn't ask Angela to strip and none of the girls dared to discuss about it, not even Salma and Shawn who despises Angela.
"What happened to her?" Nikita asked Angela whom sat on the bed.
"I don't know " Angela replied
"What do you mean, you don't know, Weren't all of you together, And Angela, I am wondering, what took you so long?, The rest had returned since and we had to wait for you to return before Lady Annabelle starts her brief" Nikita asked her suspiciously staring at her.
"Nikita you ask a lot of stupid questions, what if she was sent an errand by the queen" Nana rather respond and Angela sighs
"Fine anyways, but what's wrong with Esther, have been noticing her quietness and now she looks horrible?" Nikita asked and Esther finally respond to her, "You don't have to worry about me, am fine."
"You're sure?" Nikita asked her as she stares to her neck and shoulder.
"Yes I am, by why are you staring at me like that?" Esther asked Nikita in return and Beatrice stepped down from the bed she shares with Nikita and Nana and replied, "She wants to know if you mated with any beast, to confirm is all is well with you. You know those beasts have sharp claws and fangs, so she's trying to confirm if all is really well."
"What!" Almost all the ladies in the hall screamed
"Yes, I heard if they're mating, their sharp fangs grew longer as they transformed and the bite into the neck of their mate as their mating bond" Beatrice said.
"Gross!" Angela face twisted in irritation, likewise most of the girls in the room and Nikita walks up to scan her own neck.
"Stay away from me Nikita, I can never mate with a beast." Angela jumps down from the bed and ran away from Nikita who wants to scan her neck and Nikita bursted out laughing.
"See you that all the beast men in this palace is ogling at. Am sure they will soon propose to you next" Nikita said to Angela and she frowns.
She wants to remind Nikita of Alex, That is only her boyfriend that she will agree to mate with and can never mate with a beast, but she quickly remembered they thought Alex was her brother and even Lady Annabelle had advices her not to go anywhere closer to the labour-house to disturb the men.
She swallowed back the words she wanted to throw at Nikita and decided to let the matter slide.
"True, I even saw the King staring seriously at her during that coronation day and the queen also turns to stare at us. I feel the king likes her too and am having this gut feeling, how the bathing session with her went?" Ama asked as she was the only one that has not gone to attend to the king.
Angela and the rest of the four girls that had accompanied her to bath the King immediately swallowed.
"Nothing, Why would you think the king was staring at me, when Esther is also cute, Nana was also there and majority of the rest, why point his gaze to me?" Angela questioned Ama in return, wanting them to end the topic about the king, but most of them rather stared at her in disbelief, especially those who went with her for the bathing session.
"What if his majesty wants you?. What if you're his mate?, Will you accept him and agree to sleep with him?" Ama immediately throws the question at her, and the room immediately falls in awkward silence.
"Never Ama!, Never!. And stop attributing me to being his mate. I can never have anything to do with the beasts, I already have someone I am in love with and hopes to be with him soon" Angela replied and the rest of the girls in the large room kept quiet staring at her to Ama.
"Just stop asking about the King again, I can never have anything to do with him, Not in my dreams, Not in my reality either. I hates him and that's the truth, so think who he was staring at, not me!" Angela shuddered as she spoked then she turns to exit the room already feeling uncomfortable with all their gaze on her.
"Really, What if you can stop the enslavement?." Ama's word paused her as she turns the door knob open."
"Just think about it. If you're truly his mate, am not saying you're but I was only given my assumption on what I saw. He's the king now and in control, What if you accept him and ask him to free all of us?" Ama smiled as she spoked that and Angela shook her head.
"Never!" She screams and they held a shock gaze.
"I can never be his mate and stop dreaming about that. You can offer yourself to him for all our freedom, I will appreciate that, but I can never sleep with a beast. I can't even stand him and he already has a wife, So stop dreaming about nonsense!" Angela immediately ran out, leaving most of the girls speechless and Esther's palm immediately clenched into a fist.
She slowly hates Angela and couldn't believe what she just heard that also confirmed her suspicion that the King was attracted to Angela and didn't want to see her naked as that will drive him crazy.
Esther swallowed not wanting to bring up the topic that the king even refused Angela from stripping.
She stares to Shawn and Salma and they swallowed to as they stare to Juliet.
"What?, Why are you girls staring at me like that, Am I ugly?" Juliet asked them with her eyes wide opened and they shook their head and replied her "No!."
