"Mating bond?!" Queen Melissa asked the elderly man as she turns to face him.
He smiles faintly as her as his face has a lot of wrinkles and he prefers staying in his beast form as that made him feel more better.
"You seem not to understand me gracious one?" he asked, noticing the look of confusion on her face.
"Yes, but tomorrow is the dancing festival though, Am sure he will pick a mate" Queen Melissa replies.
"Oh, he already has one" The beast replied.
"Who?" Queen Melissa questions him with narrowed eyes.
"I obviously don't know, but I felt he has seen her and wants her" The elderly beast spoked.
"Oh, you're right. Chums Wilfred is around, She actually arrived today, so I gets he cannot wait till tomorrow to show her effect on him."
"Oh, you now understand me better Gracious one" The elderly beast-man smiled.
"Yes I do. Well thank you all for coming, i hope tomorrow makes it a better day for us to withnessed our new queen."
They smiled listening to her.
"You can all leave, the dance starts tomorrow and the town crier will inform the whole towns and villages" she states.
"Okay gracious one!" They all replied and left.
Queen Melissa immediately walks back into the royal castle and thunders, "Where's Mark?!" surprising Stephanie and her friend Chums as they were all in the palace hall downstairs.
"What happened mother?' Stephanie asked her in worry as she excuse herself from her conversation with Chums.
"Oh, Chums you're here!" Queen Melissa calms as she walks up to meet Chums.
"Good evening your majesty," Chums greeted her.
"You're welcome, actually I thought Mark is here, I actually came in to talk with him. How are your parents and triple brothers?"
"They're all fine Queen mother, my mom sent her regards," Chums respond.
"Oh, okay, I have to go and see Mark right away, Stephanie attend to your guest!" Queen Melissa told Stephanie as she made her way into the corridor and walks up the stairs going up to her son's chamber.
"What happen Steph?" Chums asked Stephanie in worry as she saw when Crown Prince Mark immediately walks in angrily and steps into the same corridor and now his mother.
"I don't know Chums, but is best not to worry yourself about that. The festival is already tomorrow, and you should be more concern about winning against other beautiful girls from our clans" Stephanie advised her.
"Oh, you know they're of no match to me, Just that am worried, you know your brother can still say no to me, like the last time he said no to the previous winner of the last dance festival ten years ago" Stephanie said.
"Yes, I know but he cannot say no now, not when the priest had insist he must pick a bride this season as father is no more and he isn't getting any younger and the other clans are seriously protesting to have their own rulers."
"Hmm" Chums hums worriedly.
"Not to worry girlfriend, come let me show you to your room" Stephanie led her thru the corridor and they went into a passage that led to the multiple guest rooms.
Stephanie showed her to a beautiful room.
"You don't have to worry about my brother. You know then, we were younger and now it will all be in your favour as you have my support."
"Hmm" Chums nod. "Thank you " she replies Stephanie.
"You're welcome girlfriend, relax for the night, tomorrow I will show you around the palace and to the women quarters and how we work here" Stephanie said with a sweet smile on her face
"Thank you" Chums respond and sat on the bed to feel it softness.
It was more smooth compares to the bed in her home and she couldn't wait to be the next queen and Crown Prince Mark wife.
Her face lits in joy as she thought about their people calling her Queen Chums and 'her gracious one' or 'her majesty', she smiles.
"If you need anything let the maids outside know" Stephanie informs her.
"Where are you going too?" Chums asked.
"No where, am around just that I haven't seen Sarah since I arrived so I want to go and check on her, I will see you later before I retire for the night. Feel at home, and if you're in need of anything that you want. Just call on the maids outside here in the corridors" Stephanie informs her and she nods in response.
"Okay, bye" She wave Stephanie as she left and she relax back on the bed and sat up to go and check the bathroom.
Stephanie walks out from the guest room and went back upstairs to go check on her sister in their room that was on the third floor as Sarah had relocated to the third floor and she knew it was mainly because her sister was practicing about medicine which she didn't want her mother to know.
She climbs up the stairs and heard her mother's voice from the second floor, shouting at her elder brother.
She sighs not wanting to go there as she miss her twin.
Angela was so happy to see Alex. Immediately after Crown Prince Mark left them, with his assistant following rightly behind him, she has been in the field and garden working all day and clearing all unwanted grasses ahead of their upcoming festival.
They were almost thru uprooting all the weeds and gathering them to a spot they wanted to burn it when the magnificent house door opened and some beast guards steps out with some men.
She looks away from them not wanting to attract any attention or question as she knew some of them already knows her and just as she threw the grass in her hands away and turns to go and pack up another to take it to the burning location.
She saw a man among the humans washing his face as he stood out in front of the mighty two storey building named "The Labour house."
She swallows and quickly look away from him as she felt him familiar, but he didn't seem to notice her as she was walking with Esther her Colleague and roommate as they both share a single bed.
Just as she went back to pack the rest of the weed she has uprooted feeling a bit more uncomfortable, he saw her and calls her by her name, "Angela!" and the weeds in her hands drops.
She immediately threw the weed in her palms away and run into his arms, hugging him tightly and surprising all the beast men and human men that stood out as they hadn't expected for the two of them to know eachother.
She wanted to kiss him, but she knew if she did that she might cause him more trouble and she didn't want that.
"I have miss you" she said in his arms and he pecks her to her fore head and bent to kiss her cheek and Amos and Lucas and the rest of the two guards stiffened seeing them peck.
They wonder of they were brother and sister, but siblings don't kiss each other or peck and cuddle as they did.
"Alex!" One of the second beast guard calls up to Alex's attention, but he didn't respond and he couldn't attack him as he knew Alex was his majesty favorite.
He's more annoyed that Alex is touching the same beautiful human that Amos had stopped him from going close to in the name of his majesty warns them not to go anywhere closer to her.
Does it mean the human was an exemption?. He thought as he stares at the two of them angrily.
Angela turns Alex's face to stare at his cheek as she held his both cheeks in her palms and bent him forward to face her as he's taller than her.
Surprising all the whole new slaves that were sent to the location to clear the grasses.
They were shocked as how she held the handsome masculine man, touching his face like he was her lover and boyfriend and the beast guards were slowly losing their patience.
Even the rest of the human males that came out to carry some new woods into the store room was shocked to see how the young lady had the audacity to romance Alex in front of them.
They swallowed and quickly look away from them.
The second guard lost his patience and his sharp claws came out and he wants to go and disrupt their lovey dovey and remind them they were still their slaves, but Amos immediately stops him, holding his hand out "Lucas!.".
"I have missed you, I thought I will never see you again" Angela said to him, still holding his cheeks bent closer to her face as she sobs, confusing them all.
"Am very much alive my love!" Alex said and Amos coughs startling them as they were both less concerned about the people around them and they finally part away, as Amos walks down to tap on Alex's shoulder.
"You have to let her focus on her works Alex, Even if she's your sister, get back to work!" Amos informs him and he nods and stares at Angela who sobs tears of joy as she was so happy to see him.
Atleast, she wouldn't be escaping all alone, she thought.
