Zane's heart thumped furiously as his expression changed. Right then, two men wearing metal masks came in. Zane paled when he spotted them.
"Zane Zielinski, how could you embarrass the alliance when you are the president?
Travis is upset. How dare you lie to him? Do you know what you did wrong?" one of them questioned coldly. Zane's legs nearly gave up on him.
He could barely stand on his feet as he replied hastily, "Sirs, I did kill Jacob previously. I didn't lie! It's just a rumor that he's still alive. I'll investigate the matter now. If he's still alive, I won't let him escape. I promise to chop his head off and hand it to Travis."
His voice was trembling as he gave him their word.
Letting out a snort, the law enforcers replied, "Travis is displeased with your actions, so watch it. This is your last chance."
