The young man spun on his heels and left. Meanwhile, Chase and the other two interviewers were all stumped, gaping at Jacob incredulously. They couldn't figure out how the man got acquainted with their general manager.
"How did you get to know Mr. Hastings?" Chase demanded with mystification written all over his face.
"Is he some high-ranking executive here, perhaps the general manager? I don't know him." Jacob shook his head in denial.
He wasn't acquainted with that young man, nor had he ever seen him. On the contrary, that young man had seen him before and even witnessed him being all touchy-feely with Stefanie.
The young man was named Charles Hastings, and he graduated from Southern Atlantic University abroad. After joining McMillan Group, he advanced through the ranks. He also fancied Stefanie and had been pursuing her, but the latter wasn't interested in him.
