The next morning, Dalton and Bill got up from bed early. They had bought tickets for a luxury cruise. Just the night before, Dalton had given Melissa one of them.
"Melissa, it's been a long time since you accompanied me on my trips. This time, let's have a good time over the next two days." Dalton handed the tickets to Melissa.
Fearing for Jacob's safety, Melissa followed Jacob to the city. Therefore, if she was to join Dalton on the trip, she wouldn't be able to find Jacob.
"Grandpa, I—"
Even though she wanted to decline, she didn't know how to convey it.
"What are you hesitating for? Don't you want to go on a trip with me? Are you resenting me because I'm old?" Dalton asked with a glum expression.
"No, No." Melissa waved her hands frantically.
"If not, you should just come along with us."
Dalton grabbed her without giving her a choice.
