Spotting the look on Steve's face, Lamar quickly intervened, "Mr. Rutger, Dr. Jenkins' friend must have fooled him. Although you didn't sell the revitalizing pills at a high price, perhaps his friend had told him otherwise."
Finally having an excuse, Steve swiftly nodded and added, "Yes, my friend must have lied to me. I'll settle the score with him once I have the time."
At that, there was nothing Zoilus could say anymore.
"Mr. Rutger, did Mr. Sullen really make this pill?" Lamar asked incredulously. Since Zoilus was the one who sold the pill, he would certainly know best where the pill came from.
