Seeing that Jacob had made up his mind, Timothy was out of options. He would never attack Jacob, not to mention that he knew he was not his match.
At that, Edward thundered, "Timothy, if you don't strike now, I will fire you!"
"Mr. Maddox, there must be a reason behind Mr. Sullen's decision. Please trust him." Timothy tried to convince him.
"Nonsense. My son is going to die because of him!" Edward stared at Chester, who was still screaming in anguish.
Then he turned toward Bowen, "Mr. Yoder, please stop Jacob. If you can stop him, I promise to fulfill whatever you ask for!" Bowen was enraptured upon hearing that declaration and nodded profusely.
"No problem, Mr. Maddox. However, you have to know casualties in battles involving magecraft are inevitable. If I accidentally kill Jacob in the process, you must not hold me accountable for it!"
