The gratitude in the wyverns' eyes was unmistakable. Jacob quickly moved to free the other two wyverns in the same manner. Once liberated, the wyverns flapped their wings excitedly, surrounding him and howling as if to express their thanks.
"Hurry up and get out of here!" Jacob urged, waving his hand. The wyverns nodded in understanding and soared into the clouds, leaving Jacob with a smile.
Little did he know that his actions that day would lead to the assistance of the wyvern monarch in the future—it's a story for another time. After freeing the wyverns, Jacob returned to the front cabin.
As he entered, he noticed the airship beginning to descend, shaking violently.
"What's going on?"
"What happened?"
"What's the matter?"
