Chad and the others were all wounded after their fierce battle with the bloodthirsty beast. Their auras were disheveled, flickering like dying embers in a storm. After retrieving the beast core, Chad sat nearby, trying to catch his breath, his mind racing with thoughts of their next move.
Suddenly, he spotted Fabio and Brendan returning unexpectedly fast. Curiosity piqued, he called out, "Why are you guys back so soon? Where's Grus Divina?"
Fabio's face contorted with frustration. "The other group took it, and we lost them!"
Chad's heart sank. Seeing that Fabio didn't return with Grus Divina, he instantly went on high alert. "Why did you guys come back without Grus Divina? Why didn't you chase after them?"
Fabio threw his hands up, exasperated. "How were we supposed to do that? They were long gone when we got there!"
