Upon hearing that, Ariana nodded and quickly towed Royce to hide behind Jacob. A glow surrounded Jacob and pushed the black smoke away from him.
"Will that kill them all?" Came Hector's voice as he asked the sorcerer.
"Don't worry Prince Hector, this is a poisonous fog. Those who breathe it in will certainly die," the sorcerer confidently replied.
Dozens of minutes later, the black smoke dissipated, and the people regained a clear sight of the room. Soon, Hector and the sorcerer saw that Jacob and the other two were completely unscathed at the side of the room.
That stupefied both Hector and the sorcerer. "W-What's going on? Didn't you swear that they'll die?" Hector asked, baffled by the situation.
The sorcerer was equally confused, however.
"This is impossible. They'll surely die after breathing in my poisonous fog, so how can they still be standing here?"
