Minjun stared into the mirror intently, water droplets falling from the tips of his hair. A man sculpted to perfection stared back at him: dark and straight eyebrows, straight nose with a high nose bridge, soft and pillowy peachy lips, slicked back dark hair, a sharp and defined jawline, glass skin, aegyo sal…he was the epitome of the ideal Korean man. Even more so, the embodiment of the ideal Korean alpha, but alas, he had yet to be confirmed one. For he, had not yet been assigned a second gender at the age of 19, five years after the time most are assigned one.
Minjun flashed a pearly smile at himself in the mirror and put on his black sunglasses. 'Today's the first day of college. Alright, first day. Nothing to worry 'bout.' Minjun strode confidently to his car, and started to drive to his college: Daesun University. It was a college famed for having the most alphas attending it in all of South Korea, for it is very prestigious. It was a college truly fitting for an alpha, for alphas happen to naturally be born intelligent. With such a high percentage of alphas, though, omegas are especially rare, and with so many alphas in one place, they often embrace their natural instincts that cause them to lust over any omega there is. Not a problem for Minjun, though. That was the business of people who were in the 10%, which didn't include him as far as he knew. Except, it still was a problem.
Minjun stepped out of his car as he finally arrived. Setting foot on campus as an actual student was different than from when he just visited this place as a potential option. A feeling of exhilaration swirled in his heart, and his feet tingled with excitement. He pulled out his phone and looked at his schedule. 'Alright, first class of the day.. okay!' Minjun ran into the building, a teethy grin on his face.
Once Minjun got to his class, he immediately looked around the classroom. There were many men who, though Minjun couldn't smell pheromones, were obvious alphas. Their tall statures, handsome appearances, and strong presence gave it away. As Minjun was studying the classroom, suddenly they all looked to him. Suddenly, just as everyone was in, someone swung open the doors, breathing heavily. The someone was a boy, like pretty much everyone there, but this boy was different. He was short, making the binder in his arms look massive and far too heavy for him to handle. He had fluffy blonde hair, a small nose, large eyes, long eyelashes, soft lips.. he oozed femininity. Minjun thought he was attention-grabbing, but seeing someone such as the boy at Daesun University made him seem like nothing. The expressions on everyone's faces were comical, with their jaws on the floor and eyes wide open in shock, but Minjun could understand why. This boy was obviously an omega, and the only one he's seen so far in this college amongst the many alphas.
"Sorry I'm late, Professor Park." the omega called out to the professor as he skidded down the stairs. The omega hurriedly took an empty seat, which happened to be an empty seat next to Minjun. Minjun could almost feel the glares shooting darts at his back. 'I'm not interested in him, okay? Sheesh, coulda made it a little less obvious..' He wanted to turn around and shoot everyone the middle finger, but his survival was of more importance to him.
The omega turned to Minjun and smiled. "You don't mind me sitting next to you, right?" the omega asked. His voice was high-pitched and soft, befitting for someone like him. Minjun nodded, feeling the eyes peering at him still. "Well, that's good. I'm Hanuel, and you are?"
"I'm Minjun. Nice to meet you, Hanuel." Minjun replied cooly. He nearly wrapped his arm around Hanuel as he naturally did with people, but even with the lecture going on, he couldn't shake the gazes.
Minjun could swear he felt Hanuel scoot slightly closer to him. Suddenly, Hanuel started to sniff Minjun's neck. Minjun leaned back, surprised by the sudden action. It wasn't anything new, since despite basically being an Alpha, he didn't have any pheromones or ruts, which are supposedly key traits to being an Alpha. Even though it was common, he didn't expect it during class where everyone was watching. Usually it was done when Minjun went to clubs or in private with a girl.
Hanuel jerked his head away once he saw Minjun's reaction. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Its just… are you a beta?" Hanuel asked.
Minjun did a short chuckle and then shook his head. "I take very effective medicine because my pheromones are too strong. I'm an alpha, of course. Can't you see?" Minjun said.
That was Minjun's explanation every time anyone asked about that. It was much easier than trying to explain it all, and he'd be made fun of for not having an assigned second gender 5 years late.
Hanuel nervously laughed, scratching the back of his head and blushing. "You might be the most dominant alpha I've ever met. It's just that I found it weird there weren't any dominant pheromones to accompany that. I'm so sorry for being rude." he said.
'Here we go again with the dominant alpha stuff. Why can't I be diagnosed at this point?' Minjun's frustration arose again. He obviously showed all the signs of being an alpha, and apparently he doesn't have the genes for it, but he's not a beta either. It's just a second gender, sure, but it matters a lot. It affects how you get treated, reproduction, who you date.. and it matters even more here.
"It's fine, Hanuel. Beware of the dudes here, by the way. I'm sure you can tell, but they're looking at you like hungry hyenas." Minjun said, looking at the screen at front the professor taught on.
Hanuel giggled, turning to the alphas and doing something that Minjun couldn't see out of his peripheral vision that sent the alphas into blushing overdrive. "It's alright, Minjun. I can take care of these guys just fine." Hanuel assured.
Eventually the lecture ended, and everybody was dismissed. Minjun and Hanuel walked side by side, heading to their dorms. Suddenly, a few alphas came up beside Minjun all buddy-buddy.
"Hey there, dude. What's your name, and the name of the cutie right there?" one alpha asked. He had brown and spiky hair, sharp green eyes, and resembled a fox.
"I'm Minjun, and this is Hanuel. What about you?" Minjun answered all casually. He didn't plan to have a long talk with these guys, since it's obvious what their objective was. He's dealt with this type too much before.
"Well, I'm Taehyun, and you don't need to know about these rascals." Taehyun said, ruffling the two other alphas' hair. It seemed like Taehyun was the leader of their group. "So, Han-Han, how about we have a party at my dorm today, hm? For your first day and all? Just you and me?" Taehyun asked.
Apparently Minjun seemed intimidating or something, because Taehyun quickly followed up with "Don't worry, you're invited too, Minjoo." Taehyun and his group ran off before Minjun could correct him. Minjun sighed, his head in his hand.
"Hey, we don't have to go if you don't want. He's just some random alpha, nothing compared to you." Hanuel said. Minjun simply smiled, because he didn't sigh because of that. Instead, he sighed because he could feel that this year was going to be hectic, just like highschool.
Minjun's highschool year, he was popular, and every girl loved him. He was hot and charismatic, what more could you want from a guy? Well, this caused jealousy towards him, and that meant false rumors. Some rumors include sleeping with all the girls in school, being a cheater, having plastic surgery, etc. Truly a time he wanted to abandon.
Minjun and Hanuel finally arrived to their respective dorms. Minjun struggled with the keys for a bit, and then finally got inside. It was fairly decent sized, and had two beds on each side. A surprisingly average dorm for such a school, but no matter to Minjun. Despite common misconception, he only lives in a middle class family. Minjun jumped on a bed and laid down, exhausted for the day. His roommate had yet to arrive, so in the meanwhile, Minjun slept.
-Few hours later-
There was a knock on the door, alerting Minjun from his slumber. 'Huh? Did I doze off? Better answer the door first..' Minjun tiredly dragged himself to the door, opening it. Suddenly, he was met with a chiseled and defined chest, so much so that it shown through the pitch black tank top being worn. Minjun looked up, and nearly fell backwards over the staggering height of the man.
The man was around 6'4, which was a whole foot taller than Minjun if it weren't for the 3 inch insoles on his shoes. The average height for an alpha is 6'0, so that made this man 4 inches taller than that. Minjun stepped backwards, letting the man inside to get a good look at him.
The man wore a black tank top and gray gym shorts. He was drenched in sweat, and sit on the empty bed, elbows on his knees and staring at the ground as if he had a million thoughts running through his head. He had middle-parted dark hair, piercings, and was extremely attractive like most alphas. Minjun found him to be the most attractive man he'd ever seen.

'I don't know how anyone can call me a dominant alpha after meeting this guy. He's the one who truly fits that title."
As Minjun was studying and thinking about his roommate, he suddenly remembered something that happened today. 'Damn, the party! I totally forgot about that! Minjun wanted to get up and go look for the two, but he didn't know where either of their rooms were. 'Guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see Hanuel again..' He softly sighed, and turned his head back to his roommate. His roommate was wiping the sweat off his body with a white towel, paying no attention to Minjun. Minjun simply continued watching as his roommate did whatever he did. He didn't try to hide it either.
Suddenly, his roommate's head whipped around to face Minjun. He looked him straight in the eyes, not speaking. Minjun felt a hot wave of anxiety wash over him. 'Why's he looking at me like that? He hasn't paid any attention to me at all till now.' Minjun's eyes traveled around the room, but they always went back to his roommates', for he just kept staring at him with a blank countenance.
"H-Hello. What's your name,… roomie?" Minjun blurted out. Immediately he felt regret, wanting to beat himself up for saying "roomie". 'Damn, I'm a fucking dumbass! Why the hell would I say roomie? Damn, damn, damn!' The tenseness his roommate caused was so immense, and yet Minjun still said "roomie" all casual. He hoped so very much that his roommate wouldn't react negatively towards what he said.
"Hyunwoo. Minjun, right?" his roommate, Hyunwoo, replied.
Minjun was surprised to see that Hyunwoo responded so normally, despite his appearance. He immediately felt relieved. Then, he processed what he said. 'Minjun? He knows my name already? How come? Wait.. am I already popular? Damn, that sure was fast..'
"Yep, that's me, Minjun. Ya heard of me from somewhere?" Minjun said. All the fear he had earlier seemed to immediately disappear the very moment he realized that Hyunwoo was just a normal guy.
"I did, actually. You're pretty popular, and I must say.. you have quite the reputation. I'm sure you're already aware, though." Hyunwoo said.
Minjun smiled, scratching the back of his head. Despite this, he internally itched with curiosity at what Hyunwoo meant by "quite the reputation". He had to know what reputation he had, because there was no way he was going to let rumors about him floating around without him knowing. Not after highschool, no. Minjun had a feeling what kind of a reputation he had considering how he was with Hanuel earlier that day.
"So, Hyunwoo, what's your major?" Minjun asked, wanting to talk more with Hyunwoo. 'He seems like a chill and easy going guy, unlike those snakes earlier. Maybe we can be friends.'
"Well, it's in the medical field.. same major as you, actually." Hyunwoo answered.
"Same major as me? Are you in a lot of my same classes, then?" Minjun said.
Hyunwoo nodded, smiling coolly. 'Huh, I didn't even notice him. I woulda thought I'd notice someone like him.. how could I not?' Minjun recalled the reactions of everybody when he entered the classroom. 'Does that mean I'm more alpha like or whatever than this guy to others? How in the hell..' He knew that he was really handsome and charismatic but he wasn't even tall and that strong, which were defining features of alphas. He was shorter than the average beta by 3 inches, a secret he hid very well, and wore clothes that made him seem buff to hide his rather slim figure.
"Yes, I am in a lot of your same classes. Maybe we can help each other out sometimes, how about it?" Hyunwoo replied.
Minjun shaked his head "yes", pleased that Hyunwoo suggested such thing. 'I guess this means I got a new pal besides Hanuel.' Minjun considered himself to be a good judge of character, and he could tell Hyunwoo had pure intentions. 'Better get to bed now.' Minjun pulled the blankets over him, snuggling in the warmth. Eventually, he drifted off into sleep, awaiting the next day to come.
-Hanuel's POV-
"Urgh! Huff! Yes Han-han.. suck harder damnit!"
Hanuel's head was violently shoved forward, Hanuel nearly gagging. 'Fuck.. if it weren't for me being highly experienced, I'd be choking. This asshole..' He looked up, and saw that it was a man he'd never seen before. The man looked down at him, but didn't react nor say anything. Instead, he simply walked the opposite direction.
'Who the hell was that?' Hanuel found it to be a very strange reaction. Seeing a defenseless, naked omega covered with pheromones and cum, any alpha would try to take advantage of him. That alpha, however, didn't seem to care at all, which was very peculiar. 'That alpha is different.. that's no fun.' Suddenly, the image of Minjun flashed in his mind.

Minjun sighed and turned around, facing his roommate. He softly pushed his roommate down on his back and scooted up onto the bed on his knees.
