Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Snake-man vs Flame-man

As I watched from the sidelines, the battle between the two skilled warriors intensified. The time of day had shifted to night suddenly. The man in snake armor leaped into the air, his sword glowing green with fire. The purple and blue man followed, his sword glowing with a bright blue light. The snake man swung his sword, creating a green fire slash that the multi-colored guy effortlessly sliced in half with his own sword.

But the fight was far from over. The multi-colored man dashed mid-air toward the snake guy, but the latter used his snake sword to grab onto his blade and throw it away. The two fell down to the sand, locked in a fierce battle. The multicolored man summoned blue flames and started laughing maniacally, while the snake man used his snake sword to create another green fire slash. The multi-colored guy countered with a wall of blue fire, and the two clashed in an explosion of energy.

"You're snake sword is cool I can not lie."

"Thanks, I like your sword too."

"Thankfully we keep our stuff even if we kill each other."

"I like you- Shame I have to kill you though."

I watched in awe as the two skilled fighters clashed on the sandy beach, their weapons lighting up the night sky with their respective flames. The multi-colored fighter was quick on his feet, dodging and weaving as he summoned bolt after bolt of blue fire with impressive speed and precision. The snake fighter, on the other hand, was more defensive, using his snake sword to deflect the blue fire attacks and counter with his own green fire slashes.

The fight was intense and fast-paced, each fighter trying to outmaneuver the other and gain the upper hand. The multi-colored fighter seemed to have the advantage, his blue flames overwhelming the snake fighter's defenses and forcing him on the defensive. But the snake fighter was no slouch, using his agility and quick reflexes to evade and counter the blue fire attacks.

"Stop spamming your fire man."

"Nah bro sorry."

As the fight raged on, both fighters began to tire. Sweat dripped from their brows as they struggled to keep up the pace, their movements becoming slower and more predictable. The multi-colored fighter took advantage of this, launching a series of powerful blue fire bolts that the snake fighter struggled to defend against.

Despite the mounting pressure, the snake fighter refused to give up. With a fierce determination, he fused with his snake sword, his body becoming one with the metal. His skin took on a scaly texture and his eyes became slits, glowing with a sinister green light. His arms elongated, becoming serpentine and ending in sharp claws. He hissed and bared his fangs as he completed his transformation into a formidable snake man.

"Lets end thisss."

The multi-colored fighter was not one to be outdone, however. He burst into flames, his body engulfed in a bright blue and purple inferno. As the flames dissipated, a man made of swirling fire was revealed. His eyes shone with intense, burning light and his body was constantly shifting, flickering between shades of blue and purple. He stood tall and proud, a being of pure flames and destruction.

"Ssso your transssformation isss even more fire? Yayyy."

"Stop talking like that bro."

"You can make demandsss when you use ssskill and not ssspam."

The battle between the two skilled fighters was intense and fast-paced, with each fighter trying to outmaneuver the other. The snake-man was agile and quick, using his serpentine body and snake sword to attack with lightning-fast strikes. The man of blue and purple fire was strong and formidable, able to create walls of flames and unleash blasts of searing heat. Despite the man of fire's size, he was surprisingly agile, moving with a speed that belied his bulk.

The two fighters were becoming increasingly exhausted as the battle dragged on. The snake-man's movements were becoming sluggish, and he was unable to anticipate the man of fire's attacks as effectively. Seeing an opportunity, the man of fire launched a series of intense firebolts at the snake man, who struggled to defend himself against the onslaught. The snake-man was forced to retreat, narrowly avoiding being engulfed in a wall of flames summoned by the man of fire. Undeterred, the man of fire pressed the attack, unleashing a barrage of firebolts that the snake man struggled to deflect. The two fighters faced off, each waiting for the other to make a move. Eventually, the snake-man launched a desperate attack, swinging his sword wildly at the man of fire. However, the man of fire was prepared, and he summoned a wall of flames to block the attack and force the snake man back.

"How about we do one final attack? This is getting old."

If you want to die thatsss fine by me."

The snake-man and the flame-man locked eyes, their powers swirling around them in a dazzling display of color and light. The snake-man raised his hand, and with a hiss of green flame, he summoned a bolt of fire from his palm. The flame-man responded in kind, summoning a bolt of blue flame from his own hand. The two bolts met in the air with a loud crack, the flames intensifying as they collided.

The snake-man was not content to simply rely on his fire powers, however. With a swift movement, he lunged forward and sank his teeth into the flame-man's shoulder, injecting a venom that paralyzed him on the spot. The flame-man's eyes widened in shock as he collapsed to the ground, his body going rigid as the venom coursed through his veins.

The snake-man had suffered some damage however he still had more than half of his hp.

The snake-man took advantage of the flame-man's vulnerability, his hand glowing with a sinister green light as he sliced through the air with a sharp claw. The flame-man was defenseless, unable to defend himself against the snake-man's attack.

"No skill. You're bad. Spammer. Runne-"

With a final, decisive strike, the snake-man sliced through the flame-man's chest, a look of triumph on his face as he emerged victorious.

Watching this fight made me feel pumped. I wanted to fight as they did. It reignited the fire of my passion for the game. I would not team up again but rather play solo.

I then stopped spectating and immediately wanted to level up. I knew that I could not just do a quest without gear. I decided that I would find a quest that rewards more money than exp which also doesn't involve fighting.

I made my way to the starter town and talked to a merchant NPC, who was standing by a large cart filled with crates of goods. He greeted me with a smile.

"Hello, traveler. I am in need of some assistance. You see I have a cart of goods and I need them to be delivered. The journey may be long I will compensate you generously,"

I accepted the quest.

As I rode the cart through the green grass, the sound of the horse's hooves pounding against the muddy trail filled my ears. The sun beat down on me, its warmth soothing as I inhaled the fresh scent of the lake that I passed by. Despite the roughness of the ride, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over me as I took in the beauty of my surroundings. The peaceful sounds and smells of nature were a welcome change from the chaos of battle. As I journeyed towards the village, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment of peace.

I navigated to the social media app on my headset and scrolled through the feed, watching various videos that popped up in front of me as if they were really there. I laughed at some, and cringed at others. I was able to watch videos in any game I was in which made the quest much more bearable to do.

It took 30 minutes to arrive at the village.

As I arrived at the village, I couldn't help but notice how small it was. Despite its size, the village seemed to be thriving. The houses were well-maintained, with freshly painted doors and windows. The gardens were filled with vibrant flowers and vegetables. The air was filled with the sounds of people chatting and children laughing.

I found the woman merchant with orange hair. She was standing outside of her shop, looking through a crate of goods. I pulled the cart to a stop and jumped down.

The woman looked up and smiled, her orange hair glowing in the sunlight.

"Thank you so much for bringing these to me."

I then had to ride back to the town and talk to the other merchant to receive my reward. After another 30 minutes, I arrived back in the town.

I went to the quest giver merchant to turn in my delivery. He thanked me and handed me 10,000 credits, which was about 10% of what I had before.
