Three days later...
It's been 3 days since Brave Heart arrived in Ponyville and his life is looking a little better. He took new jobs in Ponyville to earn some Bits for his new home, where he now lives near the Golden Oak Library. He got to know more about his friends during the time he spent with them. He learned that Pinkie Pie came from a stone farm and she loves to spread cheer and make ponies smile all the time, he learned that Applejack has an older brother and a younger sister and they all work hard together to make Sweet Apple Farm as best it can be, he learned that Rarity dreams of opening many fashion boutiques throughout Equestria, and he learned that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy came from a cloud city in the sky called Cloudsdale and that Rainbow Dash dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt while Fluttershy stays in her hut to take care of her animal friends. It wasn't just those five who became closest to Brave Heart, as he was very helpful to all the ponies in Ponyville. Whenever anyone needed help, Brave Heart would always be there to help whenever needed. Because of this, Brave Heart has become known throughout Ponyville as the most helpful pony in existence. But there were still those who treated him badly and meanly. Sometimes, when Brave Heart wasn't doing anything, he would practice some spells that his Great Wizard master had taught him. Today was Midsummer's Feast, an event where Princess Celestia chooses a town or city for them to see how she uses her magic to lower the moon and raise the sun. Someone was coming to oversee the Summer Sun Celebration festivities, and Brave Heart at Mayor Mare's request, volunteered to accompany her to the event. It was now early morning and Brave Heart was still at his house sleeping in his bed. However, his horn tip emitted a small white glow and he stirred a little in his sleep.
Within his dream, Brave Heart was standing out in a space-like void and he looked around him in confusion.
Brave Heart: Where am I?
Mysterious voice: (Echo) Help.
Brave Heart: Huh?
Mysterious voice: (Echo) Please help them.
Brave Heart: Is anyone there? You can leave, I won't hurt you.
Then a light blinded Brave Heart as he was placed in a different landscape that appeared to be some kind of castle and around him he was in a room that was like a library with a book in the middle.
Brave Heart: What is this place? This is a dream?
Great Wizard: Hello Brave Heart.-
Hearing a familiar voice behind Brave Heart turned to face his master.
Brave Heart: Master Great Wizard?! -he said in disbelief-
Great Wizard: How's my boy? -she said with a kind smile-
Brave Heart happily ran up to his master and gave him a big hug that was soon returned by his teacher.
Great Wizard: It's been a while hasn't it? -he said breaking the hug-
Brave Heart: How is this possible? You've been gone for almost a month. he asked in disbelief.
Great Wizard: I'm here to warn you of a great danger that threatens Equestria, so pay attention. -speak seriously now-
Brave Heart upon seeing the serious expression on his master's face realized that the matter was really important, and so he nodded his head for his master to continue.
Great Wizard: Thousands of years ago, there were two royal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for the entire land.
The book that was in the middle of the room opened by itself, levitated and approached Brave Heart and its master. In the book, two alicorn figures were shown and one looked like Princess Celestia, while the other was unknown to Brave Heart. As his master spoke, the pages turned to show exactly what he was saying.
Brave Heart: To do this, the eldest used her alicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn, while the youngest brought the moon to begin at night.
Brave Heart: I understand, but. . . what does this have to do with me? -he asked confused-
Great Wizard: I'll get there. The two sisters held balance for their kingdom and its subjects, all different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies tasted and played the day their elder sister gave birth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the youngest alicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young girl's heart turned her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon.
Brave Heart: That. . . it's terrible.
Great Wizard: She swore that she would envelop the earth in eternal night. Reluctantly, Elder Sister harnessed the most powerful magic known in the pony realm: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister and permanently banished her to the moon. The eldest sister took responsibility for the sun and moon, and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since.
Brave Heart: But that was thousands of years ago. Why is this so important now?
Great Wizard: The time will come when Nightmare Moon will be free again. And it's up to you to make sure she's stopped for good.
Brave Heart: Me? Because I?
Brave Heart: Didn't you make a promise to that friend of yours you called Sunny? Didn't you want to become stronger to protect her?
Brave Heart: It's true. I promised her that we would meet again one day. I wanted to become stronger to protect her. -she spoke thoughtfully, then a determined look appeared on her face-Okay, I'll stop Nightmare Moon. But what am I supposed to do?
Great Wizard: You will know in due time, but it must still be you and your allies who will stop Nightmare Moon once and for all.
Brave Heart thought hard about this for a minute, but soon assumed an expression of determination.
Brave Heart: I'll do it! I will save Equestria!
Great Wizard: Thanks Brave Heart. Take care my apprentice and see you soon.
Brave Heart: Will I see you again master?
Great Wizard: Soon my boy, soon.
With that said, a bright light blinds Brave Heart's vision once more, and he snapped back to reality to wake up from his bed and rubbed his eyes awake and yawned while still wondering about the dream he had.
Brave Heart: That seemed too real to be a coincidence. If this event happens. . . so i know what i have to do.
Brave Heart got out of bed to leave the house and go to the mayor's office to see who exactly he was supposed to give a tour of today. Along the way, a few ponies around waved at him to greet him and he waved back with a smile on his face, but there were also those who gave him looks of disgust and contempt, which Brave Heart chose to just ignore. He finally arrived at the mayor's office to meet with Mayor Mare.
Brave Heart: Good morning Mayor Mare. Came to see who exactly I'll be driving for the Midsummer Celebration today.
Mayor Mare: Good morning to you too Brave Heart. I just received a message from the royal castle that the representative will arrive in just one hour. Her name is Twilight Sparkle and she will arrive in a carriage drawn by two Pegasus royal guards, so you should see them at the entrance to Ponyville.
Brave Heart: Thank you mayor. I am going. (Thoughts): Twilight Sparkle huh? What a cool name.
One hour later. . .
Brave Heart waits patiently while meditating, he then opened his eyes to see a golden chariot being pulled by two Pegasus royal guards in the air and they land in Ponyville. The passengers, who were a unicorn mare and a baby dragon, got off the carriage and thanked the guards for their service.
The unicorn mare has a pale mulberry, light grayish coat, a dark sapphire blue mane and tail with moderate purple and bright raspberry stripes, she had moderate violet eyes, and her Cutie Mark is a six-pointed pink glitter surrounded by five small white sparkles . The baby dragon beside Twilight has pale mulberry scales with a spring bud gray underbelly and lime green ear fronds, subdued pistachio eyes, and subdued harlequin spikes.
Brave Heart saw the two and walked towards them as he heard them talking.
Twilight Sparkle: She said to check on the arrangements. I am your student and I will do my royal duty, but the fate of Equestria does not depend on my making friends.
Spike: Maybe the ponies in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about. Come on, Twilight, just try it!
Pinkie walked towards Twilight, then Twilight tried to greet her.
Twilight Sparkle: Hmm. . . Hey?
Pinkie let out a very long sigh before jumping into the air and she lunged at the two surprising them.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, that was pretty interesting.
Brave Heart: *laughs* This is Pinkie Pie, she's always fun and exciting.
Both Twilight and Spike turned to see Brave Heart approaching them.
Twilight Sparkle: And you are?
Brave Heart: My name is Brave Heart. Nice to meet you. -he said with a bow-
Both Twilight and Spike looked at each other in slight confusion when Brave Heart said his name to them.
Twilight Sparkle: Uh. . . sorry but could you repeat that name?
Brave Heart: Brave Heart.
Spike: Wow. Weird name.
Brave Heart: I hear that a lot. Anyway, are you Twilight Sparkle?
Twilight Sparkle: Yes, I am. How do you know my name?
Brave Heart: I actually offered to give the Midsummer Celebration representative a tour of Ponyville and the mayor told me that you are that representative.
Twilight Sparkle: I see. Well, as you already know, my name is Twilight Sparkle and this is my assistant Spike.
Spike: Hello.
Brave Heart: Hello to you too.
Twilight then noticed Brave Heart's wings and horn and she let out a small sigh.
Twilight Sparkle: Are you an alicorn?!
Brave Heart: Yes, I'm actually the only alicorn here in Ponyville.
Spike: That's amazing! Alicorns are very rare and the only known alicorn is Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence. How are you one?
Brave Heart: Hmm. . . It's a long story. I'll tell you two if I get the chance. Now, let's continue with the tour so that we can be prepared for the festival. (Thoughts): They both don't seem to know Catastrus' prophecy. Best not to tell them I'm the alicorn of the prophecy, otherwise they'll treat me like everyone else.
Twilight Sparkle: Okay. Let's get this over with. Spike, what's first on the list?
Spike: Official Midsummer Celebration Overseer's Checklist. Number one, banquet preparations: Sweet Apple Farm.
Brave Heart: Sweet Apple Farm. I know a friend who works there, follow me.
Brave Heart then started walking with Twilight and Spike following.
Spike: He seems like a nice guy, doesn't he Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: I think so. But I already read something in a book talking about a male Alicorn, I don't remember exactly what it was but I know it wasn't a good thing, I think we'd better keep an eye on him.
Spike: If you say so.- he said, shrugging-
Brave Heart, Twilight and Spike arrived at Sweet Apple Farm
Brave Heart: Welcome to Sweet Apple Farm, you two. This place has the best and juiciest apples in Equestria.
Twilight Sparkle: It seems very peaceful in here.
Applejack: YEE-HAW!
Brave Heart, Twilight and Spike saw Applejack kick a tree with its hind legs, causing the apples to fall into the buckets below.
Brave Heart: Hi, Applejack.
Applejack turned to Brave Heart and walked towards him with a smile.
Applejack: Hi, Sweetie. Who are these two with you?
Brave Heart: This is Twilight and this is Spike. I'm actually giving them a tour of Ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle: Good afternoon. My name is Twilight Sparkle-
Twilight's sentence was interrupted when Applejack shook her hoof very quickly and vigorously.
Applejack: Well, hello, Ms. Twilight, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Applejack. We here at Fazenda Doce Maçã certainly enjoy making new friends!
Twilight Sparkle: Friends? I actually-
Applejack: So what can I do for you?
Due to Applejack's strength, Twilight's shell is still shaking until Spike stops her before laughing and Twilight glares at him. She also gave Brave Heart a slightly confused look for a second.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, actually I'm here to oversee preparations for the Midsummer Celebration. And are you in charge of the food?
Applejack: Absolutely!
Brave Heart: Do you want to try some Twilight samples?
Twilight Sparkle: As long as it doesn't take too long. . .
Applejack then ran in and played a triangle and made a high touch.
Applejack: LUNCH TIME!
Brave Heart: Oh, that's right! The Apple Family gathered today.
Twilight then gave Brave Heart a shocked look.
Twilight Sparkle: What?! And you didn't tell us before. . . NO!
As Twilight finishes her sentence, a stampede comes and the next thing Brave Heart, Twilight and Spike know they are in chairs with a table of delicious apple-themed food in front of them surrounded by Applejack's family.
Applejack: This is the Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin. Red Gala. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp... *Take a deep breath* Big McIntosh, Bloom Apple and Granny Smith.
Granny Smith was sleeping in her rocking chair, and she is an elderly earth pony with a light lime green coat, a light gray mane and tail, bright orange eyes, she wears an orange scarf with red apple designs and her Cutie Mark is an apple pie. Applejack woke her up.
Applejack: Wake up, Grandma, we have a visitor.
Granny Smith: What? . .? Is the soup ready? I'm up, here I come, I'm gone.
Brave Heart: You have an amazing family, Applejack.
Applejack: *laughs* Thank you Brave Heart. I mean, you and Twilight are part of the family.
Twilight had a bunch of food crammed into her mouth before spitting it back out.
Twilight Sparkle: *nervous laughter* Okay, well, I can see the food situation is resolved, so let's go.
Brave Heart: Come on, Twilight. There's plenty of food for everyone and it's still noon.
Applejack: Yes. He's right. At least have a meal with us.
Twilight looked at Brave Heart in confusion and nodded slowly, Twilight just sighed.
Twilight Sparkle:. . .It's OK.
Everyone applauded and the four ate lunch as planned.
After lunch with the Apple family, Brave Heart guided Twilight and Spike to another location in Ponyville.
Spike: The food is checked, next is the weather.
Twilight Sparkle: Ugh. . . I ate a lot of pie. . .- spoke to a big belly-
Brave Heart: Applejack and her family sure know how to make good apple-themed foods.
Twilight then walked over to Brave Heart to ask him a question.
Twilight Sparkle: How close are you to Applejack exactly?
Brave Heart: Actually, she's one of my best friends. I've helped Applejack a few times on the farm, selling some of her apples in Ponyville or just helping her pick some apples off some trees. I guess I can say we're friends even though I've only been in Ponyville for three days.
Twilight Sparkle: Three days is it? So that means you're not from Ponyville.
Brave Heart: No, I'm not from Ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle: So where are you from? -asked pressing him to answer-
Brave Heart: II... Well... this is a long and sad story, I don't want to talk about it. -she said sadly-
Spike: Alright Brave Heart. Sorry Twilight, she's quite curious sometimes. -he said placing his hand on the young Alicorn's shoulder and giving Twilight a reproachful look-
Spike then approached Twilight and whispered in her ear.
Spike: (Whispers) Did you really need this Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: (Whispers) He's hiding something Spike and I'm going to find out what it is. I know something bad about him. -he finished the conversation-
Twilight Sparkle: All right. Let's continue the tour. What's next on Spike's list?
Spike: Hmm, there must be a Pegasus pony named Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds.
Brave Heart: I know her too. She must be nearby somewhere.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, she's not doing a very good job clearing the clouds, is she? -he said looking at the cloudy sky-
Brave Heart: Hey, Dash! You are here? I have some ponies here I want you to meet.
Then a blur collided with Twilight right next to Brave Heart, which startled him and he saw the two of them falling into a puddle of mud.
Brave Heart: Are you two okay?
Rainbow Dash: Hey, Brave Heart. I heard his voice and just went down to try to surprise him, but I missed.
Brave Heart: *nervous laugh* Yes. And you're kind of crushing on Twilight.
Rainbow Dash realized that she was sitting on Twilight by accident and let out a shy laugh.
Rainbow Dash: Uh, sorry. *shy laugh*
Twilight grunts with a disinterested look as she is now covered in mud.
Brave Heart: You can clean it, Dash.
Rainbow Dash: No problem.
Rainbow Dash flew in and came back with a rain cloud which she placed above Twilight and bounced on top of it, raining down on Twilight. The rain washed away the mud, but now Twilight's mane and tail were soaked through.
Rainbow Dash: Oops, I think I overreacted.
Twilight Sparkle: You think?!
Rainbow Dash: How about this? My own patented Rain-Blow Dry!
Rainbow Dash created a rainbow tornado around Twilight and when she was done, Twilight's mane and tail were now fluffy and messy.
This causes Rainbow Dash, Spike, and Brave Heart to burst out laughing as Twilight tries to stop herself from exploding with rage. She then looks at Brave Heart angrily.
Twilight Sparkle: Let me guess, is this your friend Rainbow Dash?
Brave Heart: Yes, that's her.
Rainbow Dash: What? Have you heard of me?
Brave Heart: Dash, this is Twilight Sparkle and Spike. I am giving them a tour while they are also here to check their duty as a weather manager to keep the skies clear.
Rainbow Dash then climbs onto a nearby cloud.
Rainbow Dash: Is that it? Don't worry about that. I'll do that as soon as I finish training.
Twilight Sparkle: Training? Train for what?
Rainbow Dash: The Wonderbolts! They're performing at Celebration tomorrow, and I'm going to show them my stunts!
Twilight Sparkle: The Wonderbolts?
Rainbow Dash: Yes!
Twilight Sparkle: The most talented pilots in Equestria?
Rainbow Dash: It's them!
Twilight Sparkle: Pfft! Please. They would never accept a-
Brave Heart interrupted Twilight by covering her mouth with his hoof.
Brave Heart: Twilight, I want you to know that Rainbow Dash is the fastest flyer I've ever met. I mean, I've raced her so many times that we're almost at the same speed.
Twilight Sparkle: Did you run with her?
Brave Heart: Yes. She is so fast that she can clear the sky in ten seconds.
Twilight Sparkle: Ten seconds? Prove it. There's no way a pony can clear ALL those clouds in ten seconds.
Brave Heart and Rainbow Dash exchanged a smug look.
Brave Heart: Go ahead, Dash. Show her.
Rainbow Dash: Leave it!
Brave Heart: Okay! Prepare. . . GO!
Rainbow Dash took off into the sky and pierced the clouds, clearing the entire sky before landing on a nearby bridge.
Brave Heart: And that's exactly ten seconds! You're getting faster every day, Rainbow!
Rainbow Dash: Heh. If you want to see how much, we run again.
Brave Heart: Of course. Maybe later.
Meanwhile, Twilight and Spike were shocked by Rainbow Dash's display of speed.
Rainbow Dash: *giggles* You should see the looks on their faces, they are priceless!
Rainbow Dash flies back into the air about to take off.
Rainbow Dash: We should hang out sometime. Anyway, I have other things I need to do. See you later!
With that said, Rainbow Dash flies.
Spike: That. . . he was. . . IMPRESSIVE!
Twilight then turned to Brave Heart still in shock.
Twilight Sparkle: And you're telling me you ran into someone SO fast!?
Brave Heart: Yes. I ran a lot with Rainbow Dash actually. We did some weather tests together and even practiced some aerial tricks in the sky.
Twilight Sparkle: Anyway, what's next on Spike's list?
Spike: Hmm. Decorations.
Brave Heart: Follow me. There is a unicorn I know who is in charge of the decorations and can also fix her Twilight mane.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, thanks to Celestia. I didn't want to have that mane for the rest of the day.
The three then arrive at the town hall which is being decked out with the decorations for the Summer Sun Celebration.
Spike: Like I said, next on the list are decorations.
Spike then looks forward to see a certain fashionista who is inspecting and putting on ribbons. He had hearts in his eyes as he was mesmerized by her beauty.
Spike: Linda. . .
Twilight Sparkle: Yes, the ribbons are beautiful. With all that done, I can finish and head to the library to continue my research.
Brave Heart: Are you staying at the Golden Oak Library? In fact, I have a house right next to it.
Twilight then looks at Brave Heart slightly surprised by this statement.
Twilight Sparkle: Really?
Brave Heart: Yeah, I guess we're neighbors then.
Twilight Sparkle: (Thoughts) He's kind, but I see something in his eyes. Something happened in his past that he wants to hide. But he won't make it for long. (Out of thoughts) I think so. Anyway, the decorations are beautiful.
Spike: Not the decorations! She!
Spike pointed at Rarity with his heart in his eyes. He then quickly checks himself out.
Spike: How are my scales? Are they combed?
Twilight rolls her eyes at the tiny dragon's fall as Brave Heart smirks and walks over to Rarity. When he got close enough, he startled her.
Brave Heart: BOO!
Rarity: KYAHH!
The reaction Brave Heart desired succeeded when Rarity leapt high into the air and as she landed, Brave Heart caught her with her magic. He gave Rarity a smug look on her face.
Brave Heart: How was your trip to Heaven Rarity? Hehehehehe.
Rarity then puffed out her cheeks, blushed and looked at Brave Heart.
Rarity: Brave Heart! That was not funny! You really scared me!
Brave Heart: Sorry, Rarity. It's just that your face gets cute when you're scared or angry.
Rarity blushes even harder, still looking at Brave Heart.
Rarity: P-Put me down, please!
Brave Heart did just that and Rarity then got rid of the blush she had.
Rarity: Anyway, what brings you here Brave Heart?
Brave Heart: I'm giving the Midsummer Celebration supervisor a tour of Ponyville and she wants to see the decor.
Rarity: Oh, well then. Nice to meet you, my name is Rarity and-
Rarity notices Twilight's mane and points at it in shock.
Rarity: Oh my dear, honey! What happened to your mane?!
Brave Heart: Oh. . . and even. I forgot to mention. . . Rainbow Dash sort of doused Twilight with rain to wash some mud off of her and then gave Twilight her Rain-Blow Dry.
Rarity: Oh, poor thing. Honestly, that Pegasus can be reckless. Come with me, I'll fix everything.
Rarity started pushing Twilight and Twilight gave Brave Heart a worried look.
Twilight Sparkle: Wait! Where are we going?! Help me Brave Heart!
Brave Heart: Don't worry Twilight, she'll just fix your mane and tail.
Brave Heart reassures her as everyone leaves the town hall with Spike following us with the look of a puppy in love.
They were all now at the Carousel Boutique, where Rarity not only fixed Twilight's mane and tail, but she also made Twilight wear different dresses while Brave Heart and Spike watched.
Spike: Wow. . . she is amazing. I've never seen any pony make Twilight wear so many dresses.
Brave Heart laughed at Spike's little crush on Rarity.
Brave Heart: Yes, this is Rarity. If there's one thing she does well, it's definitely fashion designing.
Rarity: Now you were telling me more about yourself.
Rarity tightens her grip on the dress Twilight is currently wearing, causing her to shiver.
Twilight Sparkle: I . . . I was sent. . . from Canterlot. . . for-
Before Twilight could finish her sentence, Rarity lost control of tugging at her dress and was thrown.
Rarity: Canterlot?! Oh, I'm so jealous! The glamour, the sophistication! I always dreamed of living there! Can't wait to hear all about it! Let's be the best of friends, you and me. .
Rarity then looks at the dress Twilight is wearing and an idea pops into her head.
Rarity: Emeralds?! What was I thinking? Let me get you some rubies!
Rarity left to find some more jewelry and Twilight used her magic to change back into her original clothes before running away.
Twilight Sparkle: Hurry! Before she decides to dye me a new color!
Spike wasn't listening, he just sighed at Rarity in love mode and Brave Heart just dragged him away with his magic.
On the outskirts of town, Brave Heart, Twilight, and Spike who is sitting on Twilight's back move on to the next location.
Spike: Wasn't she wonderful?
Brave Heart: *laughs* You sure like Rarity, don't you?
Spike: Of course. She is just that. . . lovely.
Twilight Sparkle: Focus, Casanova. What's next on the list?
Spike: *clears throat* Oh, uh, music! This is the last one!
Brave Heart: Actually, I also have a friend in charge of this. Follow me.
Twilight Sparkle: Wait a minute. You seem to have a close relationship with Rarity if you are able to scare and tease her.
Brave Heart: Actually, we are friends. Sometimes I go to her boutique and try on some clothes she makes or help her deliver some to ponies in town and sometimes she asks me questions about what it was like back in Canterlot.
Twilight Spakle: Have you ever lived in Canterlot? -she asked curiously-
Brave Heart: Yes, but that was a long time ago. -said a bit downcast-
Twilight Sparkle: I see. And another thing, you seem to be very popular here in Ponyville.
Twilight says this when some ponies wave at Brave Heart as he waves back at them.
Brave Heart: Actually, I am. I've done some odd jobs, helped ponies, and just made sure everyone is okay overall.
Twilight then notices that some ponies are giving Brave Heart sneers.
Twilight Sparkle: (Thoughts) I knew it, he's hiding something. He must have done something pretty bad for those ponies to look at him like that. What did you do wrong in Brave Heart? (Out of thoughts): You say that like it's your duty or something.
Brave Heart: Fine. . . I think it is in a way. I would help and protect my friends no matter what.
Twilight Sparkle: All right then, enough chitchat where is this friend you're talking about.
Brave Heart: She must be right here somewhere. Also, she can be very shy when she meets new ponies.
Twilight Sparkle: Okay then.
The three arrived at their destination to see Fluttershy leading a bird choir that sang along with the birds.
Brave Heart: (Thoughts) Wow. Fluttershy has a lovely singing voice. (Out of thoughts) Hi, Fluttershy.
Fluttershy turns to see Brave Heart and gives her a small smile.
Fluttershy: H-Hello Brave Heart. Wh-what are you doing here?
Brave Heart: I'm actually giving the pony in charge of overseeing the Midsummer Celebration a tour to see how the preparations are going.
Fluttershy: I see. . .
Fluttershy looked shyly at Twilight as she turned her head to hide behind her hair.
Twilight Sparkle: Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. What is your name?
Fluttershy: *quietly* Fluttershy.
Twilight Sparkle: I'm sorry, could you repeat that. I didn't understand.
Fluttershy: *even quieter* Um. . . My name is Fluttershy.
Twilight turned to Brave Heart and raised an eyebrow at him.
Brave Heart: Her name is Fluttershy. Anyway, if you don't mind Fluttershy, would you mind showing us the song you have planned?
Fluttershy: O-Oh, of course.
Fluttershy then addresses the chorus of birds.

Soon, the birds started to sing along with Fluttershy and when they finished singing, Twilight and Spike were left speechless while Brave Heart just smiled.
Twilight Sparkle: Incredible! That was beautiful!
Brave Heart: Yes, I have to admit that Fluttershy has the most beautiful singing voice I have ever heard.
Fluttershy blushes at Brave Heart's praise and gives a sheepish smile.

Twilight turned to Brave Heart with a confused look.

Fluttershy waves goodbye to Brave Heart while also waving back as she walks with Twilight and Spike.
A few hours later, the three of them finished their tour and were now heading to the Golden Oak Library, and when they did, it was already dark. Twilight had an annoyed expression on her face.

Twilight looked back in the direction where Brave Heart is and she got a conflicted look.

Twilight then sighs and walks over to Brave Heart.
Twilight Sparkle: Brave Heart. Thanks for the Ponyville tour. AND. . . nice to meet you.
Brave Heart: It was nice meeting you too Twilight. Say, do you want to go out sometimes?
Twilight Sparkle: Well, if I'm not studying, I guess, since we're going to live next door.

Brave Heart: This is your "Welcome to Ponyville" Twilight party. My friend Pinkie Pie always loves to make these kinds of things for ponies who are new to Ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle: Is this the same Pinkie Pie you mentioned earlier? That pony that bolted when we spoke to her?

When Pinkie finishes her talk, the rest of her friends follow after her and Twilight pours herself a drink in a glass. Brave Heart realizes what the liquid was and stops Twilight from drinking the cup.
Brave Heart: Oh, believe me, I wouldn't drink that.
Twilight Sparkle: Why?
Brave Heart: Let's say there's a "flame" in the bottle for a reason.
Brave Heart reveals that the bottle Twilight poured into her glass was hot sauce.
Twilight Sparkle: Oh. . . thanks. I need a moment.
Twilight enters the library room a little irritated.
Rainbow Dash: What's up with her?

While everyone was waiting, Pinkie was telling Twilight a lot of things and how Brave Heart arrived in Ponyville three days ago.

Brave Heart then saw a bunch of stars outside that seemed to be aimed at the moon and he touched Twilight to get her attention.

Both Brave Heart and Twilight see the star cluster collide with the moon, causing the pony's images on it to disappear. Brave Heart and Twilight looked at each other with worried looks on their faces.
Mayor Mare: In a few moments, our city will witness the magic of the sunrise and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to present to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and moon every day, the good one, the wise one, the bringer of harmony for all of Equestria. . . Princess Celestia!
With that said, Rarity pulled the string to move the curtains and reveal Princess Celestia. . . but she was not there.
Brave Heart: Bad day. This can't be good.

Everyone in town hall started chattering constantly as they didn't know what was going on.
Mayor Mare: Stay calm everyone, there must be a reasonable explanation!

Rarity: She's gone!
All the ponies gasp when Rarity can't see the princess anywhere.

Then, something unusual appeared that made Pinkie scream. A purple mist gathered on the central balcony where the princess was supposed to be and revealed someone else entirely. She was an alicorn mare with a very dark blue coat, cyan eyes, she had a flowing bright blue mane outlined in gray Persian blue, and around her body she appeared to be wearing dark blue armor.
Twilight Sparkle: Nightmare Moon!
Spike passed out on Twilight's back while Brave Heart had a straight face.
Nightmare Moon: Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious little sun-loving faces.
Rainbow Dash: What have you done to our princess?!
Rainbow Dash tried to launch herself at Nightmare Moon, but Applejack grabbed her tail and pulled her back while Nightmare Moon just let out an evil laugh.
Nightmare Moon: Why, am I not real enough for you? You do not know who i am?
Pinkie Pie: Ooh, ooh, more guessing games! Um, Hokey Smokes! . . . Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty-
Applejack stuffed an apple into Pinkie's mouth to silence her.

This gained the attention of Nightmare Moon and everyone else as they all looked up to see Brave Heart step forward and glare at Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon then realized that Brave Heart was an alicorn and she had a shocked expression.
Nightmare Moon: An alicorn?! Impossible!
Brave Heart: You're clearly looking at one right now, so it's possible! Either way, I won't let you hurt any ponies or Equestria!
Nightmare Moon: You sure are bold to face me! Very well, I'll end your life first, if that's what you want.
Nightmare Moon flies in the air and her horn glows and Brave Heart got into battle position, he was ready to face her. All the ponies in the town hall, especially the six mares, looked at Brave Heart with shocked looks as he would fight Nightmare Moon.
Brave Heart: (Thoughts) This is your Brave Heart moment! You made a promise and it's time to keep that promise! I will protect Equestria come what may! By my master. For my friends. For Sunny!
