Yujun groaned in discomfort and rubbed his head as if it would take care of the headache. "Host, are you okay?" Luck said, seeing its host's discomfort. "Give me pain relief now," Yujun said. "Host, it costs 10 points," Luck replied. "Just give it to me, I'll pay, okay?" Yujun said, and Luck complied. After a few minutes, the headache subsided. "So, which world are we in?" Yujun asked, sitting down on the working chair and rolling on it.
"Light, camera, action! Is a contemporary romance/drama. It's about the dreams of an aspiring actor who wants to be a film emperor. The protagonist gets into a big scandal, and after that scandal, he couldn't get any roles even though his acting was top-notch. As time goes by, his company stops paying attention to him. But after many months, he is finally cast as the male lead in the most anticipated TV series in Korea. However, due to his attitude, it doesn't take long before he gets into another scandal. In this place, the protagonist meets the antagonist and the female lead. The antagonist was someone the protagonist used to refer to as a brother, but because of greed and jealousy, he slowly plans to ruin the protagonist's reputation. After plotting and seeing how the female lead gets everything reversed, he gets annoyed and resorts to using a big trick to stop the protagonist from progressing. However, it immediately backfires, resulting in the film emperor coming to the protagonist. But because of the corruption in the world, the protagonist loses the favor of the world and also loses his title of film emperor and the female lead. Gwan Jiwon is your character, a rookie actor who has made a name for himself with his acting and good nature. He is very kind, soft, naive, and calm. He rarely gets angry and doesn't hold grudges. A very beautiful specimen, he was on his way to the top before he fell because of the protagonist. Although he considers the protagonist a friend, the feeling is not mutual. As the protagonist continues to rise in fame, Gwan Jiwon is abandoned, so he has to sell his body for the sake of fame. And after the secret of him selling his body comes out to the world, it ruins his reputation and his dream of becoming a star. Host, your general mission is to save the Protagonist at all times and destroy the corrupted core in the world. Your world mission is to make the Protagonist become the new film emperor, reveal the true face of Jin Bora, ensure Gwan Jiwon's deepest desire is fulfilled, and reduce the hate value to zero. As for the rules, the host can do anything except go out of character when there are people around. Also, the host shouldn't interfere with the arc too much, or else it will make everything harder for you," Luck said, looking at its host and suddenly feeling dread as it saw the smile on its host's face. "Host, did you hear everything I just said?" it asked its host to be sure.
"Of course I did! What arc are we in?" he asked, smiling at the sudden piece of information. "Host, the timeline is when the protagonist has started rising with the help of the female lead. You are supposed to be on your way to audition for a role in a horror movie as Lei Jun, the male lead. Okay, time to get ready," Yujun said as he stood up and went to the bathroom. "This world may not be that bad," he said.
Yujun came out of the bathroom and went to his wardrobe, settling down for a blue turtleneck that showed a little skin and denim pants. He wore jewelry to match before walking toward the mirror. Yujun felt proud of himself and his look. Gwan Jiwon had a type of cold beauty, but with his sunny appearance, people couldn't help but want to pamper him. He had pretty blue eyes that were as clear as the sky, a high-bridged nose, long lashes, a 'V'-shaped jawline, a little baby fat that was yet to shed, luscious red lips that always looked ready to kiss, and his blue hair that fell on his face.
"I'm proud of myself," Yujun said as he made his way to the kitchen to get some food. "I'm also rich, thank goodness," Yujun said. But Luck looked at its host with suspicion. Since when was its host this bubbly?
"Jiwon, are you in? Come outside, we are going to be late for the audition," a voice came from outside, which soon ruined Yujun's façade. "Who is that?" Yujun asked in a cold voice, looking at Luck. "What did I do?" Luck thought.
"Kim Harin, same age as you. He is your manager. Don't let his looks fool you, but he is a boy. He is the only one that didn't abandon Jiwon after his misfortune and is the only one that knows Jiwon's secret," Luck explained.
"I'm opening the door and dragging you out. Don't waste time," the voice said again and opened the door. The person that came in had blonde hair, green eyes, and a playful smile on his lips. His skin complexion was almost similar to Jiwon's own, and he had a not too short nor too tall appearance.
"What are you still doing? Let's go. I know you don't want to face him, but sooner or later, you'll still have to. Let's go, we are late," Harin said as he dragged Jiwon's hand, not noticing the cold glare he was getting from Yujun.
"I don't like him. He seems like a very naïve person and won't be good for my totally heroic plan," Yujun said, rolling his eyes as he let himself be dragged by Harin. As he thought about what Harin said, he asked the system, "Hey, system, did Jiwon fight with anybody recently?"
"The protagonist," Luck said.
"Okay, wake me up when we reach there," he said and closed his eyes, trying to block out everything, which resulted in him falling asleep. "Jiwon, wake up. We are late already, so let's do this peacefully," Harin said, shaking Jiwon aggressively. "Host, don't do anything that can boot us out of the world. Just wait patiently," Luck said, already trying to pacify his boss.
"Harin, I'm awake. Stop shaking me. Let's go," Yujun said and went out to see the set where he would be working. After looking, he put a satisfied smile on his face before walking in. "System, let's have fun," Jiwon whispered.
"Look at him, always picking a fight wherever he goes," a staff member told her friend, watching as two people fought with their fists. "I heard they are fighting because of Jin Bora," the latter replied, both of them gossiping. And soon, the gossip reached everybody. "It's his fault. Who would want to be with him? I hope Park Haneul beats him. Look at him, because he gets casted, he thinks he is on the same level as others," the gossiping spread to Yujun's ear through Luck.
"Host, host, host, I have something to say," Luck said, trying to get its host's attention but was ignored by its host. This is bad. If the host doesn't know, I'm going to be the one in trouble, Luck thought as it started panicking. "Host, Ji-Yeong is inside there having a fight with Park Haneul. We have to stop them, or else Ji-Yeong will have more haters than he already has," Luck added, making sure it was obvious he was panicking. But Yujun just smiled. "Finally, conflict," he said as he quickened his pace to enter the building. "Jiwon, why are you smiling?" Harin asked. "Nothing, just thought of something funny," Yujun said, smiling again.
Luck was panicking and started having a serious panic attack when it heard what its host said. When Yujun and Harin stepped inside, they saw a crowded space. "Harin, why is that place crowded?" he asked, behaving clueless. Meanwhile, inside, "Host, the protagonist is heavily injured. Please stop them from fighting," Luck asked again. But Yujun only went forward and saw the two of them fighting. "I place my money on the red hair," Yujun said after blending with the crowd. "Host, the red hair is the protagonist, Han Ji-Yeong. Jiwon usually calls him Yeong, so please stop that fight, or something real bad would happen," Luck said again.
"Luck, this is what acting is, okay? Sit back and enjoy," Yujun said as he put on a worried expression and made his way to where the fight was happening. "What is Jiwon doing here, and why is he going towards the people fighting? He is going to get injured. Let's tell him," everybody murmured, worried about Jiwon, their sunshine.
"Ji-Yeong, please don't make a ruckus!" Yujun shouted, trying to separate them. In doing so, he ended up getting punched in his right eye. "Ouch!" he said as he fell flat on his butt, rubbing his right eye that had turned black. Tears threatened to fall, but Jiwon didn't as he stood up, trying to go there, but a staff walked up to him. "Jiwon, don't bother separating them. Here, take this ice pack for your right eye," the staff member said, giving Jiwon an ice pack. "Please help me separate them. Look, they are both injured," Jiwon said. "5... 4... 3... 2... 1," he counted in his head as the person who gave him the ice pack ran to separate the people fighting. "What's wrong with both of you? If you have nothing to do, then get out. Must you fight here, silly people?" the staff member said, leaving the place angrily.
"Time to act again," Yujun smiled devilishly before he ran towards Ji-Yeong with a concerned look on his face. "Yeong, are you alright? Look at how rough you are, and you are supposed to be shooting a movie. Please come with me," Yujun said in one breath as more tears welled in his eyes. He tried grabbing Ji-Yeong's hand.
"I don't need your help, so just mind your own business. This has nothing to do with you, and I'm not sure your fans would sit right with that," Ji-Yeong said and went outside. "Look at how rude he is. Jiwon offered to treat him, but he went outside. Such a brat," people said as they looked at Jiwon with sympathy.
"Host, what are you doing?" Luck asked as it saw its host still sitting. "System, there is a popular saying: 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer,' don't you think?" Yujun said.
"Hey, are you okay?" a voice said, making Jiwon flinch. "I'm fine. I'm sorry about Ji-Yeong. He can be a little childish at times," Jiwon said and smiled. "Yeah, no kidding," the voice said. "Here, take this. You need it more than me," Jiwon said, handing over the ice pack from earlier before waving goodbye to the person he talked with.
"Host, why are you making friends with the antagonist? Host, what you said earlier, I don't understand what is going on," Luck asked.
"Don't worry, your little brain. Just watch how I carve the most beautiful ending," Yujun said, with a twisted smile plastered on his face and madness swirling in his eyes.
