Chapter 6 - BANDITS

it was a while ago when they reached the palace and wu jiang discussed the matter with the emperor, which needed her to leave urgently for the border. "Master, can I come with you?" Chu Yin and Hwan asked both in sync . "I don't want to bother you both. I can go by myself," she said coldly while packing her bags."but master..." "I can protect you if I were to be by your side" he spoke with a serious expression on his face while his head lowered as he bowed "Hwan, it's not some child's play that you think it is, this is WAR. Now scram!" she shouted at them and rushed off the room, shutting the door with a bang sound that could be heard in long distances as she started walking in rage through the hallway.

The servants, maids, and cooks who worked for the great general had seen her rage before, which frightened them again and again. Wu Jiang then without a delay left in a carriage to the borders while on the other hand Chi Yin stared at Hwan's back "if it were not for you-" he then saw hwan mumbling something as if he was making a talisman or maybe something like black magic " hey, is that talisman that you're making?" he stared hwan until there were red fumes coming out of his body.

It horrified Chu Yin so much that fell on the wooden flooring with a tug sound, Hwan turned around to the sound with a blunt expression just to face him "why are you always there when i have important matters to attend to, always interrupting " he spoke, his voice slightly deeper yet smooth as always. His clothes had changed from a simple lapis blue robe that complimented his white hair and made him look like a decent man to a crimson red robe which made him look even more devilish than he usually looked and also like a "bastard, are you here to harm my master" Chu Yin spoke recklessly without thinking much, he then grabbed a sword that was nearby and pointed it at hwan "you reckless humans have no sense at all" hwan chuckled loud enough that the walls shook at his laughter "master knows the best~" he mocked the sentence as if being sarcastic while mumbling the sentence.

"y-y-you b-bastard, don't come any closer" Chu Yin stuttered in fear " why should i not?" hwan was slowly stepping closer so that chu yin could feel more fear.

On the way to the borders

Wu Jiang was full of frustration thinking of what the situation was, that was until the carriage was stopped midway in the forest. She hurried to see the matter outside with her sword in right hand, and she saw was what meant to be treason, the guards or rather slaves of the third princess were the one who had covered themselves up like bandits, it was just too crystal clear.
