"Pi Te! You're finally here, save John, please save him!"
Ha Ruisi grabbed the hand of the old man who had just entered from outside the ward, speaking urgently.
"Pi Te! Save my child, save poor John!" Mai Lisha suddenly rushed to Pi Te, grasping his other hand, crying out as she called to him.
Tension and concern flashed in the eyes of Tom Sen and Ke Lisi, as they looked at Pi Te with a hint of hostility.
"Ha Ruisi, Mai Lisha, please don't panic. Let me go, and let me see John!" Pi Te said, trying to reassure them.
"Okay, okay!" Ha Ruisi and the others nodded repeatedly and released Pi Te.
Pi Te walked to the bedside, glanced at John's pale face, and then at the instruments on the headboard. He frowned, picked up Pi Te's medical history, lab test results, and treatment records from the surgery.
As he read, Pi Te's brow furrowed tighter and tighter, until at last, it all turned into a long sigh.
