Working as a security guard in the Cosmic Tower was an entirely different league compared to other locations. For many, it was the ultimate dream job of their lives.
Now, inexplicably, they were about to lose that dream job, a reality they found hard to accept.
"It's not that we were incompetent, sir. This young man is truly exceptional. Even if it weren't us, anyone else would also likely be no match for him," the guards desperately tried to justify their actions.
Charlie, their boss, simply ignored them and continued walking. The guards wanted to catch up and continue their explanations, but Charlie's secretary stopped them in their tracks.
