Andy and Harvin both had the same motive: they wanted money. How could Eld not see through their intentions?
Though he was reluctant to part with his money, he felt trapped.
"Andy, we've shared a friendship for many years now. Do you not trust my word?" Eld implored sincerely. In response, Andy's expression grew stern.
"Of course, I believe what you say. But I must admit, my trust in you isn't as solid as it once was."
Andy's face reflected deep disappointment. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Eld understood that he might have to make some sacrifices to pacify Andy.
"In all honesty, everything I've said is true. I'm working on behalf of Mike. If you're skeptical, that's your prerogative. However, if you believe that offering a discount on your orders is the only way to preserve our bond, then I'm prepared to cover the cost myself."
Seeing Eld's willingness to compromise, Andy refrained from pushing further.
