With a friendly smile, the girl reached out her hand, evidently expecting a handshake from Luo Feng.
Luo Feng gave her outstretched hand, dotted with pastry crumbs, a disapproving glance before grudgingly accepting the handshake.
"Why are you seeking my company when your father is here too? Shouldn't you be with him?" Luo Feng pointed out, directing his gaze towards a nearby booth.
"Your father's booth is close by, and it even has a better view."
"I'd rather not."
Jardins slouched on the table, her previously beaming smile vanishing instantly at the mention of Charles. In its place was a look of clear irritation:
"He's so stuck in his ways, always engrossed in his business, oblivious to my mother and me. I don't like him, and I don't want to spend my time with him!"
