Chapter 59 - A Hero

We are all looking for a hero, it read on the last page of the diary, that Vlohrir had written. Akira was already distraught, astonished and largely surprised about the things that were written in the diary. She continued to read the last few words. But we seldom find one. Even if we do, it is rarely outside and mostly inside of us. I found my hero, inside of me. But it did not last for long. It was a dream that vanished soon as it appeared. But the memory still hangs in me, as vividly as ever. That short brief moment. When I was strong as I could be , fearless, eyes that could turn razor sharp and kill a man by themselves. An ideal so strong, that I felt Invincible. That I was a god. Maybe, that is where I was wrong. To think that I was a god. A god never fears. A god never falters. But I did. The moment I woke from the dream, I faltered and failed. The moment I realized I was merely a man, I was scared. I ran away from myself, ran away from everything. But I could not outrun from the mistake I Made. To think that I was a god, and that got me here. In this cell, where death breathes beneath my neck. I shall fall in to the ground, the same way many men have before me. Brave, frail, brute, the weak, the strong everyone. In the end it was written " Man can die, but God cannot"

"Man can die, but God cannot" whispered Akira and sighed in the cold breeze that she sat upon. She closed the book for the last time before it was to be handed over to the dwarves.

"They are not gods" said Thronir to the dwarves trying to convince them to join him. You are all able bodied and can fight, why do you not join in? he asked them. There was no response from any of them. Even these children are willing to fight, he sighed. Cowards! he lamented and walked away. There was a voice that echoed from the back. Thronir did not turn back, he still looked away. " They might not be gods, but there is nothing in this world, that can kill them" that comes close to a God, I would say. Who says they cannot be killed, asked Thronir. With what? asked the voice again. Thronir took the gun from his holster and emptied the silver bullets from his gun. On to the ground, they fell. What is that? asked the voice. Silver, he replied. And Thronir turned back, I have enough to kill an army of them, he said.

The heavy winds came in and blew the flames away. There was darkness everywhere. They all looked at the eyes of Thronir. It was dark blue in color. It terrified them, with their intensity. " Who say's I'am not a god" he said to them and walked away. There were gaps all around. There was also hope that they have at last found a leader.
