Chereads / The Dwarves of Plithir - Part 5 / Chapter 45 - Ilvandir

Chapter 45 - Ilvandir

Ilvandir sat in the caves of Andora. He was mostly holed up in his room, thinking about his child. And even people knocked on his door, he would not respond. He had stumbled upon a scribbled book that was written by the forefathers and that kept him occupied most of the days!

It read

"Our origins were not from this planet, certainly not. It was from a planet afar, a planet where we ruled for centuries before the sun dried up. Once a prosperous civilization in Plithir, we were slowly being reduced to that of a worker population" And there was another race that was slowly taking control of the planet and starting to reign over us" The se masked people were of the female gender and were very ruthless. They care not for the life of dwarves, only their own. Much of us were being forced to return to the caves from our homes. We were being shown the way into burrows from prosperous lands. Prosperous lands that we had build for ourselves. The only dwarves that were left to live in their homes were the ones that pledged their allegiance to these wretched beings" Some of the dwarves in the caves after living in it for long, could not take the injustice that had happened to them, nor could they do they anything against the Hylin" We planned to leave the planet and search for a better future for ourselves and our future kin"

Ilvandir closed the book, and lit the flames in his room. It had gone a little dim and needed reigniting. He did so and turned to another leaf of the book

It read...

King Aramir the second was ahead of his time, and placed much importance to technology and the future. He was said to be secretly building wagons that could fly in the air. And flames that could be contained in a small box and turns off and on, with a button. Late on this flame box would end up in the wrong hands and cause havoc. This was a lesson for the kings of other planets to not encourage the ideas of technology, as they were afraid that it would fall in the wrong hands. It was also said that King Aramir had the idea of flying wagon from planet Andora. There was news of a man from the mountain ranges who was taking strides in developing the flying wagon. Though there was no transfer of ideas from the mountain man to king Aramir, just the possibility of it being done was enough. King Aramir did not want the dwarves to be behind in any way, and he certainly did not want them to feel inferior in any way. In the dark ages before Aramir, the dwarves were feeling inferior because of their height. And slowly the dwarven kings realized this and changed their education system to boost the children's self esteem. "King Aramir would say whenever he met children " You are the flame that burns the candle called this galaxy" he would say to them. He would walk the streets and talk to the common people and he never saw himself superior to any man. He never wanted any man to face an unjust trial. He did meet Viktor when he was banished from his planet Andora, and searched for Amnesty here. I would like you to live in our planet, said King Aramir, but we have an accordance with planet Andora. It would cause problems in our relationship he said. I understand, said Viktor. You are great man, he said to the king. In all my travels across the universe, only one another man is spoken of in such high esteem. Who? asked the king Aramir curiously. King Marcus Aurelius' of the planet earth, Milky way Galaxy. Replied Viktor. I would have liked to meet him, said King Aramir.

Ilvandir closed the book and ventured outside to the halls for his evening walk!
