Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: To The Outside!

-Reyha Kingdom; Gallo City; Royal Palace; Heroine Living Quarters-

After another whole day of training and lessons, Lavenica and Kymani found themselves in the room tired, but unlike usual today, they had plans other than simply resting.

{So, so you know the whole path?} Kymani asked.

{Yes, after observing the palace for the last few days, I have an understanding of its layout and the positioning of the guards, so it shouldn't be that difficult to bypass them. The problem is getting outside. Even if we and staying unseen, the windows in our room are not an option since there are knights stationed down there at all times, and we can't just jump from any window cause most would lead us to fall into the water. So, that leaves us with three main options, the service back door the maids use, the sewers, and the supplies crates which get thrown out once per week. Though I recommend the service back door.} Lavenica proposed.

{Definitely the service backdoor, we're sneaking out, not criminals... At least not yet.} Kymani responded.

Having decided how they will proceed, Kymani and Lavenica immediately got to work.

-Grydol Kingdom; Silver City; Silverheart Manor; Naila's room-

Inside a rather large room with various cute stuffed dolls, in the midst of them, was Naila sleeping calmly. She had pink hair, purple eyes, and eyebrows as well as black tattoos on her face. As for clothing, she was wearing a pink nightgown.

Soon her sleep grew deeper as an image began forming in her mind.

The space around her became a sea of vanilla-toned clouds that seemed to have no end, and she was just there sitting amidst all that.

"Not this again... What exactly do you want from me?... I know you're there." Naila was not surprised but more so bothered as she called out to the culprit.

"You're level of awareness is quite scary... It's no wonder, after all, you're those people's daughter..." A figure wearing a black robe with a hood appeared in front of her.

"You have yet to answer my question. This is the what 28th? 29th? Time I find myself pulled into a dream by you. What exactly are you expecting to accomplish with this? As I've told you before cursing or possessing me won't work, so if that's your plan your wasting time." Naila pointed out.

"Do you think that negatively of me? I've told you before, I'm doing this for a better future, as you see, I'm a seer, similar to the Oracle in the Great Church. Anyway, what matters is that this is necessary." The figure answered.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you don't actually tell me what's going on, I'll be inclined to believe you have nefarious intentions towards a young woman such as myself. So, I have no choice but to talk with my mother about this matter, and how scared I am of what this person might try to do to me. What do you think? How mad at you do you see my mother being after hearing that?" Naila smiled mischievously as she was tired of giving this person the chance to just talk, she wanted answers and was going to get some.

"How evil... Ok, I'm Kon, better known as the escapist. I was working at the yovit worshipper cult children of tomorrow as a double agent. The specifics don't matter, but while I was there, I saw a vision of you, on a battlefield surrounded by various individuals, but among them, a man with long purple hair was right beside you. The thing is you all died... To the monstrous individuals working for the Demonic Kingdom and the children of tomorrow. This has to be avoided so, I'm here." Kon explained.

"If that's really the case, why not tell my parents? They could easily deal with whoever it is." Naila was not worried and had full trust that this was easily solvable.

"... No, I can't just go around telling people. There's no knowing how that will affect the future, that's the reason I wasn't going to tell you about it in the first place. If it makes things worse, I'll only know after the fact. It's not safe, and you have to keep to yourself as much as you can. Believe me, I've tried multiple times before, and it will likely be absolutely disastrous." Kon warned her.

"Ok, then what can I do? And why are you here?" Naila asked crossing her arms and raising one of her eyebrows.

"You can go look for the purpled-haired young man, and your eldest siblings, those two things will change a lot. As for why I'm here, I'm here to prepare for the worst." Kon replied.

"... My eldest siblings are dead..." Naila responded displeased both in tone and expression.

"No, that's actually not the case. I myself don't know where they are, right now but I've seen them and even visited their dreams like I'm doing to yours." Kon calmly clarified.

"..." Naila was silent and didn't seem convinced.

"Oh ok, I know what you are. Your parents might not be aware but I am, and so are the children of tomorrow, sooner or later, Feylit Bleier will come for you. This is basically a matter that involves you, whether you want to believe it or not." Kon declared.

"What do you mean?" Naila played stupid.

"You're not from this world, Naila Uven Silverheart, or should I call you Jena Migetto?" Kon exposed.

"How?..." Naila could only smile weakly.

"Seers have the most powerful eyes, only below God's eyes and World's eyes. Your soul can not hide from them." Kon explained as he pulled down the hood to show his pure golden eyes glowing brightly. That aside he was bald with silver eyebrows.

"That's terrifying... Anyhow, I believe you and will take your words to heart. Is there anything else?" Naila decided to trust him for now.

"As of now, just focus on the information I gave you, and how is all up to you. Oh and don't worry too much, I'll only be coming here for another two days." Kon made it clear.

-Reyha Kingdom; Gallo City; Royal Palace-

As Lavenica was moving through the palace while carrying Kymani, being careful not to be spotted as it was way past the time when they should be walking around.

She then heard footsteps coming, outside of the time period any guard should be at that part of the palace, so not having much of an option, she entered the nearest room, being careful to not be loud.

Inside, there wasn't too much, only a bunch of cloth all over the place, like some sort of laundry room, and at the end of it acting like a curtain there was some hanging at the other side of the room.

Unfortunately for them, the same room they entered was having its door opened, so Lavenica immediately hid under the cloth. After getting in, two people began talking.

"So how long do I have here?" A familiar voice could be heard and it was easily discerned to be princess Merilyn, who sounded a bit worried while slightly hurried.

"Worry not, I made sure you have plenty of time. If anything happens you already know what to do. Whatever happens, I'll be right here out the door, so please let yourself run wild." The soft voice of a woman could be heard talking to her.

"Thank you, Beth, you're always putting yourself and your work in complicated and dangerous positions to accommodate me, and I don't deserve so much empathy from you." Merilyn thanked Beth and even hugged her.

"Oh!... It's nothing much really, I believe everyone should get a shot at doing what they want once in a while, even princesses." Beth responded.

"I wish more people would share that sentiment... But let us not waste the time you got. Once again, I don't know how to thank you enough." Merilyn finally let go of the hug and walked to the cloth curtain.

While Beth smiled and went out the door, staying on the other side.

Pushing the cloth curtain aside, Merilyn found a moon guitar, a robe, and a hat next to a stool and picked up the guitar as well as put on the clothes before sitting on the stool.

At that point, Lavenica and Kymani had opened a small hole in the cloth to see what was going on for a while now and were faced with having to stay there until whatever was going on, ended.

It was then, that Merilyn began playing the moon guitar no words were sung and she just went in. Note after note all of it strung at a fast pace.

-Later-

{I did not know you could do that with a guitar.... The more you know.} Kymani was the first of the two to react.

{It's decent.} Lavenica commented as indifferently as ever.

{Hard to please, huh?} Kymani would be shaking his head if he had one right now.

{Maybe, Master's the one that's too easygoing.} Lavenica retorted.

"I know you're in there... I don't know why you're here, but you two can come out, I promise to not bite." As she stopped playing the guitar, Merilyn called out to them.

Not bothering to stay under the cloth anymore, Lavenica came out while carrying Kymani, and walked up to Merilyn.

"What exactly were you two doing there? Were you ordered to spy on?" Merilyn asked.

{I would like to request permission to say yes.} Lavenica requested.

{... I don't think making her mad is our best option right now.} Kymani denied.

"No." Lavenica responded dryly.

"You can tell me about it, I don't care about what my father decided all that much. It's not like there's much you could have done to cause any actual damage anyway." Merilyn commented.

{... This feels like a trap...} Kymani said.

{Unlikely as it seems she herself is doing this without permission. Otherwise, there would be no need for her to wear a disguise much less do it in such a room. She is royalty after all.} Lavenica deduced.

{True... Just say it.} Kymani ordered.

"Trying to sneak out." Lavenica as calmly as ever revealed their objective.

"Oh, really?!?! May I come with you?!" Immediately her eyes lighted up and her voice changed from her graceful tone to one of glee.

{... That's unexpected... Won't we be able to just go through the front door with her?} Kymani was surprised.

{Unlikely, throughout our time here, it seems the Royal family will not interact with non-nobility in other words peasants. To put it simply she probably never just went outside, at least not without being heavily guarded.} Lavenica suspected.

{It's not like we can reject her anyway, whatever the case, let's just go. She'll probably at least make things easier since she can order people around.} Kymani concluded.

"Yes, but you will have to help us sneak out." Lavenica replied.

"Of course! What will be necessary?!" Merilyn was fully on board.

From then on Lavenica laid out a pretty basic plan. Beth would bring a crate and they would get in with a bunch of cloth, then she would transport it outside under the premise that Princess Merilyn no longer found that cloth good enough for her, so she ordered it to be given out to the peasants. While when was time to go on, they could do the same with the newly bought cloth for Princess Merilyn.
