Chapter 11 - Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg

Vote x2 xD

---

It's been a month since I've stayed in the Clocktower, for the most part, my life here is okay, but not surprisingly exhausting, not because of the class, but because of those bunch of snakes trying to befriend me for their own benefits.

At this point, anyone has heard or known my background, and every day was a pain to deal with. I would have lost it if it wasn't for the fact I have genuine friends in this place.

Personally, I don't understand the appeal of this place, for someone like me who basically doesn't care about magecraft or to advance it, being in this place is almost worthless to me.

But, I can't say the same for other magus, for example, Rin, needed every scrap of knowledge that she could learn in this place, for her to improve her craft.

Anyway, it's almost the end of summer and I can finally get out of this place, and if possible I'd like to never return, which is impossible.

Due to the fact that my sister would probably drag my ass back into this place if I don't go back to this place at least once a year.

Not to mention, my family is deeply rooted in the Clocktower and many more political reasons.

I was never a fan of those, it's just an annoying and painfully slow process for me, not to mention it makes a simple thing more complicated than it should be.

Walking in the halls of the Clocktower, I saw a familiar hooded teenager, it was Gray Pendragon, my relationship with her is nothing more than an acquaintance, it wasn't like I haven't tried to befriend her or something, it's just she's constantly avoiding me like a plague.

I don't know if it's the orders of Lord El-Melloi, or not but at this point, I don't really care, I simply stopped bothering, however, that may change in the future but right now, I'm simply indifferent toward Gray.

To sum up, my relationship with Gray is nothing more than a classmate from the same department.

Ignoring her, I simply went forward without looking back, however, I didn't notice that she was stealing a glance in my direction but only for a moment before continuing walking.

After making amends with Olga, my relationship with her became significantly better than before, as she is someone I would gladly call a friend.

Right now, we sit right beside each other in our department classroom, while not my intention I couldn't help but notice that she smiles more often than before.

Well, I'm glad she's happier.

We often exchange notes, since I trust her enough but at the same time, those notes are nothing but my hypothetical theory about prediction and nothing important.

"Hm, this makes sense…" Olga muttered as she read through my notes.

Yeah, I won't disturb her.

Days later, my days in the Clocktower were mostly the same as the other days, though there's something odd about my sister's actions ever since I introduced her to that certain cafeteria.

Like, twice a week she goes to that particular cafeteria, while it isn't strange considering each one of those days is Shirou's shift.

Meaning, the meals would be guaranteed to be delicious, however, the strange thing is that this goes on for a single month without fail.

Maybe, I was just overthinking things but it's just weird for Lorelei to come back to a place that wasn't her office for a month repeatedly.

Either way, it wasn't my problem. She can do whatever she wants with her time, walking ahead in the halls. Suddenly without a warning, I also bumped into someone, but thankfully I managed to move before I could hit them.

"Woah.." I immediately controlled my muscles to avoid tripping after stabilizing myself, only then did I let out a sigh.

"Oh! Forgive me, young man, I didn't see you there." The man said with a jovial tone.

I shook my head at the man, for a magus they are sure polite. "It's fineeeeeee-"

My eyes widened comically as soon as I saw the man in front of me, while I forgot a lot of things after reincarnating for a decade already, however, this one person is definitely someone that I would never forget.

Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, the biggest troll of the Nasuverse, and someone I definitely don't want to meet at all cost, because I don't want to be the target of his 'pranks'.

I don't want to go insane, thank you very much!

However, how is he here?! I heard that he left the mage association decades ago, but now he's back.

Seriously, why now?!

"I have to go now, sir." I tried to get away as soon as possible from this dimension-traveling vampire, however, that plan was immediately thrown into the window as he suddenly called me.

"Wait a minute, young man, I want to talk to you for a bit." Zelretch smiled in my direction.

I stopped my movement and started cursing internally, now have the kaleidoscope's attention!

Shifting my attention back to Zelretch and said with a strained smile. "Yes?"

Zelretch approached him. "You…"

My back started sweating like crazy and thought. 'Does he know that I'm a reincarnator?!'

If there is one person in this world that possibly knows my reincarnation status, it's this old man.

"Look like that lass Lorelei, are you perhaps related?" Zelretch said curiously.

And just like that, the tension disappeared and I let out a sigh of relief internally and calmed down significantly.

With a smile on my face, I was now more confident about what I'm going to answer. "That's right, she's my elder sister and are you perhaps the Wizard Marshall?"

"Oh? What gave it anyway, son?" Zelretch asked with amusement.

'Is this guy serious?' I thought, only an idiot wouldn't recognize him in this tower, after all the only dead apostle that is allowed to go inside this place is him.

If it was any other dead apostle, I doubt that they could easily get in without alarming the Clocktower security system.

Besides, his pale complexion and fangs are a dead giveaway to his identity.

"Sir, you exactly don't have a err…humanly appearance, plus any competent magus would realize that you have an otherworldly prana." This was the best answer I could give.

"Hm, is that so?" Zelretch raised his brows at my answer and touched his chin and started pondering about it.

After a few moments, Zelretch let out a sigh and started stroking his beard. "Maybe I'm becoming old…"

'But you are old!' I complained inside my mind, this vampire is even older than Jesus Christ for god sake!

"Anyway, that concludes my question, son. I'll see you later then." After that, he suddenly disappeared without a trace of his existence.

After a full minute of confirming that Zelretch isn't here, only then did I let out a sigh of relief. "That was nerve-wracking…wait what does he mean by 'see you later'?"

I couldn't help but frown as I realized that, hopefully, it isn't a sign of a bad omen.

It's been a whole week since I met the Wizard Marshall, and haven't met him since then which is definitely a good sign because I don't want to interact with him again.

Like-ever, my encounter with him was probably the most nerve-wracking moment of my life.

Anyway, today is the day I yeet out of the Clocktower. As per the deal I made with my sister I'm free to go to my dream country Japan.

It wasn't easy to convince my family though, but thanks to my sister's help I was able to convince them.

Even if they are reluctant to my decision, there's literally nothing they could do to stop me from going, after all, there's no way they could refute my sister.

Who is basically the strongest mage in the modern era, period.

This is it, I'm finally going to Japan and learning there. It was always my dream in my previous life to try learning and living there.

Now that I have that chance there's no way I'm letting it sweep away from my grasp.

Besides, if I did then, years of perfecting kanji, hiragana, and katakana would be for naught if I didn't go there.

I'm now perfectly fluent in japanese language in both letters and communication.

I can hardly wait to arrive, but first I have to prepare everything for my trip.

A day later, I arrived at Tokyo Japan airport with my family's private jet. It's faster and easier to access than a public plane, not to mention there's no annoying crowd.

After so many years I've finally arrived at the land of the rising sun, the birthplace of tentacle hentai.

With a smile on my face. "I'm finally here."

A few days after arriving in Japan, I immediately bought a single-family house for myself, while I could buy myself a mansion, this is enough.

Because a mansion would be hard to maintain, not to mention it would always be empty since I'll be the one living there, and right now I'm on my way to my newest school while walking of course. It's just a few dozen meters away from my house.

I arrived at the middle school I'm studying in. "Well, I suppose I'm going to find the teachers office."

"Hello everyone, my name is Barthomeloi Alexander. I look forward to learning with you." I said fluently in japanese and the class immediately started whispering about me, not surprising as it's not every day a foreigner transfers to a japanese school.

After introducing myself, my advisor assigned me to my desk, looked at my neighbor, and greeted them. "Hi."

The girl flinched as I called her, then she suddenly started looking around back in the fort, to see who I was talking to, a moment later she realized that I was talking to her. "Y-y-you're talking to me..?"

"Yes, who else was I talking to?" I said with amusement.

"O-oh.."

"Anyway, let me re-introduce myself, I'm Barthomeloi Alexander, but you can call me Alex, what about you?" I asked.

"G-gotō Hitori…i-ish nice to meet you!" Hitori bowed lower than she should and banged her head into her table.

Bang!

I let out a laugh at her accidental action. "It's nice to meet you too, Gotō-san."

Bocchi getto~! I finally introduced the introvert Gotō Hitori from Bocchi the rock!
