Chereads / Multiversal: The Shop / Chapter 4 - Luvia Edelfelt

Chapter 4 - Luvia Edelfelt

So I've found out that this world wasn't just Fate, but also a crossover from another series that has nothing to do with each other.

After getting to know Teresa, I also got an acquaintance with Alexandra Magritte, a friend from the same county.

It's quite funny how similar our name was, and exactly the reason why I quickly became close with both of the girls, because of the similarities of the name.

Unlike from the canon, both Teresa and Alexandra are childish which was understandable, since they are 5 or 6 at most, either way, Alexander compared to her future self, was more laid back and less serious.

Puberty really hit her hard, but I could sympathize really since puberty is some sort of trigger for anyone.

Puberty means you are more conscious of your actions, puberty means you're hornier than usual, and puberty means you are moody than before.

The former and the latter are true for girls, but for the middle, it's very true for the boys which were experienced by yours truly.

And I would experience it once again and I definitely wouldn't be too happy about it, but it's the part of the cycle of life, humans and animals, wait humans are technically animals.

Anyway, now that I've acquainted myself with the main characters of another series.

It's now time for me to introduce myself to Luvia Edelfelt, even though I know her, she doesn't know me, which is kind of creepy when you think about it.

The only redeeming quality I have is that I know of her through fiction and not stalking.

Luvia was a social butterfly, her oral skill was top-notch despite being only 5, she's just a natural.

Makes me wonder if her other oral skill is as good as this one, okay bad me, so young and I already have such dirty thoughts!

My puberty is going to be a nightmare, I just know that it's going to be.

Now that Luvia is finished talking with our other classmates, it's time for me to approach her, however, she saw me and approached me instead. "Greetings, I haven't introduced myself to you, have I not?"

"Indeed, you didn't." I nodded.

"I suppose, I should. Luvia Edelfelt it's nice to be your acquaintance," Luvia said formally.

For a 5-year-old kid, her words are a bit advanced but then again, magi children are just different.

Since most of us are forced to mature, well excluding me, as I'm a reincarnated person and definitely has a peaceful childhood compared to the magi children of this world.

"It's nice to be your acquaintance Ms. Edelfelt, my name is Alexander Barthomeloi." I bowed for a bit.

Luvia couldn't help but blink a couple of times and became shocked. "B-b-barthomeloi?!"

I couldn't help but smirk at her reaction, as expected telling her my family name surprised her, but then again Barthomeloi is a feared name, everyone from the moonlit world heard of us unless they were living under a rock.

But then again, Shirou Emiya doesn't.

"Indeed, is there a problem?" I asked with a fake frown.

"N-no.. forgive me for my outburst, I was simply surprised that a Barthomeloi is here." Luvia quickly composed herself in front of me.

Making me smile for a bit, for a kid she's too mature, and I take back what I said before, this wouldn't be annoying at all, after all, it was good to know that someone is capable of communicating with me despite being only 5.

"I suppose, it is after all my family isn't quite known for enrolling into a non-magi school." Which is technically true, I actually never heard of Barthomeloi enrolling into a non-magi school, except for me.

There's a first for everything I suppose, anyway the reason why none of my family and most of some oldest magi families don't go to a non-magi school is that they can always get a diploma with their massive connection.

So going to school is basically worthless to most magi with a family similar to mine.

That's why I'm considered odd because enrolling in a non-magi school isn't worth anything in the eyes of the moonlit world.

Luvia is also odd, because with her family connections she too, could get a diploma even without going to a school, I suppose both of us are odd.

Tohsaka and Shirou are exceptions because there's no way they could get a diploma as we do.

Rin is poor because of a certain priest. Shirou is well…Shirou.

Honestly, I don't know if they even exist in this world, which is why I'm going to check out for them.

But there's no way, I'm going to Fuyuki. I ain't joining, no Holy Grail, in the first I reincarnated because I wanted to live the fullest, not to run into danger!

I'm not Shirou Emiya who is obsessed with becoming a Hero of Justice, honestly, there are a lot of ways that he could save people.

But I can't tell him that because I wasn't there.

"A-anyway, Barthomeloi it's an honor to meet you, I didn't think that I'd meet anyone from your family here." Luvia bowed for a bit.

"Me either, I never thought I'd see an Edelfelt enrolling in a non-magi school," I replied.

"A strange coincidence."

"Indeed."

After that our conversation was cut off because Luvia is rather nervous talking to me, I could tell that she was uncomfortable with my presence.

I can only imagine what her family told us about the Barthomeloi for her to be scared of me mentioning my last name.

My name family must've been equivalent to Boogeyman in the Mage Association, seriously I blame Lorelei for this.

Her reputation of being cruel and merciless is affecting our family, not that I mind though, because to me Lorelei isn't cruel or merciless, though she's a hardass and doesn't admit that she's wrong, she believes that she's perfect which wasn't really far from the truth, but even she has flaws and she doesn't even realize it herself.

I did try to point it out though, but I was always met with her deadly glare, so I never tried again.

My sister seriously needed to get laid as soon as possible, she needed stress relief.

It's been an entire year since I started elementary school, and now I'm in grade 2 with Luvia, Teresa, and Alexandra.

Luvia and I became close because we dropped all formalities with each other. The first few weeks of communicating with Luvia were quite the moment. She's just very careful with me while talking, each word, sentence is measured. It was filled with flattery and formality.

To be honest, I didn't really mind it at first but after a month, I snapped because there was literally no improvement in our relationship as she kept a friendly distance.

It was me who broke the cycle of the cat chasing mice because I desired someone to talk with me normally.

Teresa and Alexandra were exceptions because they don't really know much about me, unlike Luvia who is part of the moonlit world.

At first, she was absolutely scared when I snapped at her but quickly made amends making her understand that I dislike our formal relationship status quo.

And because of that, we became closer than any modern magi could be, at first our new relationship was quite awkward now that Luvia doesn't try to be formal but eventually she got used to it and became comfortable with me.

Magi in general are backstabbers, opportunists, and heartless, but Luvia isn't though it doesn't mean that she isn't manipulative sometimes.

I started learning Japanese so that after I graduate I'll go to japan to enroll in middle school.

That's my plan, that's why I'm going to learn Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana.

Since I wasn't planning on joining the Mage Association anyway, I'll go to the place of my dreams, Japan.

I always wanted to go there but I couldn't because I was poor before reincarnation, now that I'm rich, well my family is, but technically it applies to me too, I'm going to Japan and enrolling there.

No one can stop me, not even my sister but I don't think she'll stop me though, I mean I made it clear that I have no plans of joining the Mage Association or her Aristocratic Faction.

Although my family would probably be disappointed with my decision, probably thinking that it's such a waste that someone with my talent doesn't care about Mage Association in general.

I'm kinda like Aozaki Aoko.

Who doesn't give a single flying fuck about magi and their politics.

If anyone is curious, the year in this story is in the early 2000s, 2004 in fact.

Luvia is definitely younger here, she's 5 while the main cast of Fate is in their 16 or 17.

Meaning the rivalry between Rin and Luvia won't happen sorry to disappoint but Alexander isn't joining the holy grail war.

Maybe he'll join the grand order but I'm not sure because I'm only familiar with two singularities: the A.D 2004 Fuyuki Singularity and A.D 1431 Hundred Years War of the Evil Dragon: Orleans.

Just a reminder that this isn't a Fate story, only a part of it.

The whole point of this is The Shop, a multiversal one, from that alone you can already tell what's all this about.

For now, this is nothing more than a prologue before Alexander becomes 18, I can't just skip it without some context.
