The meal was successful, and it was time for Tights to leave for work. She promised to visit her sister and parents more often.
"Are you really leaving now, my dear?" asked Panchy, holding a plate with a strawberry shortcake.
"Yes, Mom, I have to keep working on some business, but I'll be back in two days," Tights replied, looking at her mother, who nodded with a pout.
"It was nice having you around again, daughter," Dr. Briefs mentioned, stretching his mustache as usual. Tights walked over and hugged both of her parents lovingly, and they reciprocated with smiles on their faces.
Tights then walked over to where her younger sister, Bulma, and her best friend, Goku, were. "Sister," they said in unison and hugged each other. Their exchange reinforced their relationship.
"Then I also hope to see you soon, Goku. Until then, take care of yourself," Tights said, stretching out her hand as a gesture of greeting.
"Of course, Tights! I also hope to see you soon," replied the black-haired man with a smile on his lips.
Tights approached her younger sister and whispered in her ear, "If you don't keep him, let him stay with me." She pointed slyly at Goku, and Bulma's face turned red.
"What nonsense are you talking?!" the blue-haired girl exclaimed with a vein in her forehead. Tights laughed at her words.
"Easy, it was just a joke," Tights clarified with a laugh. Bulma coughed, regaining her composure.
Tights took a Hoi-Poi capsule out of her pocket and threw it a few feet away, producing a cloud of smoke that vanished seconds later in the wind. A small one-person helicopter emerged from the capsule.
"Then, see you again as a family!" Tights exclaimed as she started up the helicopter and it began to climb. Tights said goodbye to her family, waving her hand until she was lost among the white clouds in the sky.
"Well... what do we do now?" Bulma asked, looking at Goku for suggestions.
"How about we keep learning how to change diapers?" Goku asked with a smile.
"No, Goku. We're not going to eat... wait, what?!" Bulma exclaimed upon hearing her friend's words. "Are you sure you don't want to eat anywhere?" she added.
"Of course, I do. But changing diapers will also be important in the future, and I want to continue learning," explained the black-haired man, laying his hands on the back of his neck.
"Did Goku really just tell me this?" Bulma thought, rubbing her eyes in disbelief. "Maybe it was my imagination."
"I-okay, let's do that..." Bulma spoke with a smile.
After all, Goku was right, right? Without further ado, they entered the building, followed by Dr. Briefs and Panchy, who watched the scene with a smile.
Later, in the bedroom, Bulma cried out, "You've made it! This time it only took you two minutes to do it." She was holding a stopwatch and added, "Those five attempts have been worth it."
For their daily rehearsals, they used an artificial baby that had various built-in sounds. Bulma had thought about "borrowing" a random baby from the park to practice, but she quickly discarded that idea because of how bad it sounded.
"Well, I think I know how to do it better now," Goku professed, scratching the back of his neck. "What's next, Bulma?" he asked.
"Hold the baby, Goku," Bulma said, taking the baby in her arms and holding it out to Goku. The black-haired boy took the baby in his arms and held him as best he could, while smiling nervously.
Bulma hit her head, realizing that Goku still had to learn how to properly hold a baby. "This is not how you catch a baby, Goku," she smiled as she got closer to him to teach him properly. "The main thing is to ensure the baby's comfort. Let's see, how would you make him comfortable?"
Goku thought for a moment and finally used his left hand to make the baby's head rest on it, while the baby's bottom rested on his right hand.
"Is this good, Bulma?" Goku asked, doing his best. He was sure that Bulma would have to reward him with food after everything he was doing.
"You're doing great, Goku," the girl replied with a smile on her face. "To do even better, rest the baby's head on your chest and try to sing something nice to him," Bulma added, remembering what she saw in the movies.
"Sing something nice to him?" Goku asked, no doubt stunned. In the book that Bulma bought him, he read about singing songs or "lullabies" to babies to make them fall asleep, but he didn't know any of those strange songs.
"Yes, Goku! You have a very beautiful voice," Bulma complimented with a smile, remembering the moment when they were both at karaoke. "Come on, sing something beautiful to the baby," she added.
"But I don't know any songs," Goku pretended, still stunned. "So I can't sing any songs to the baby."
"You always make excuses for everything," Bulma spoke as she massaged her temple. "Then give me the baby. I'll sing one of the songs that my mother used to sing to me when I was little."
Goku extended the artificial baby to Bulma and she took him in her arms, lovingly laying the baby's small head on her chest.
«Meow meow, that's how the little cat meows... Wof wof, that's how Louis the dog barks. Peep peep, so peep the chick...»
Bulma began singing, mentioning the sounds of different animals, until she finished. "What did you think of it, Goku?"
A bead of sweat appeared on Goku's forehead at the end of the song. He could only smile and clap his hands.
"Did your mother sing those songs to you?" Goku asked with a nervous smile.
Bulma nodded and replied with a smile, "Yes, it's a beautiful song, right?"
Goku had no choice but to nod, he didn't want to anger Bulma and lose his food.
"You'll have to learn several songs, Goku," Bulma said, raising her right index finger.
Goku swallowed, at the thought of it and answered, "Of course, there is no problem."
"Maybe we could eat there," Goku added, hoping for food.
"I knew you were hungry! You can't fool me," Bulma pointed out with a smile.
Goku scratched the back of his neck and smiled, acknowledging her accurate observation.
Hours later. Mall.
Goku thought to himself, "But if Bulma said we were only going for a book." He carried Bulma's bags, which contained a lot of clothes. Bulma carried the songbook in her bag while Goku carried the rest of the purchases.
"I should also buy a set for you, don't you think?" Bulma asked with great sarcasm, and a chibi Goku denied her words. "Hahaha! It was a joke, Goku."
"So, are we going to eat now?" Goku asked with a drop of sweat. His stomach would soon rebel if he did not receive what he eagerly demanded: food.
"Wait, Goku! Look, a jewelry store. I haven't been to one for a long time," Bulma changed her course and headed towards the store. "Let's go, Goku! Don't be slow and follow me," she added.
"Wait, Bulma!" Goku yelled, following his friend towards the jewelry store, carrying Bulma's pile of bags as best he could.
