Chapter 1 - Finding a new home

I looked out into space. This was my last job for awhile. Somehow I would have to get food on the table. "This job should be enough for the next few months." I said to myself. I turned back and saw the strange alien in the carbonite I had sealed him in. "You'll do just fine. you and all the others I have collected." I muttered to the frozen statues. When I landed on the planet Zilon I searched for the closest saloon. When I entered everyone looked up and stared at me. I didn't mind. I walked over to the bar and asked for a man that goes by Penter. The bartender pointed to the man in gold sitting in a booth surrounded by women. I walked over and he exclaimed. "Callie! My favorite bounty hunter!" He took a big drink of his liquor. "Give me the payment and then I'll give you the bounty." I said not sitting down. "Always business with you. Why not just chill and let someone serve you some drinks?" he hiccuped. "I don't like drinking and I would prefer to keep my liver." I said swiping the loot off the table. "Nice doing business with you." I said walking to my ship. "The bounty will be by your ship just so you know." I said over my shoulder. When I reached my ship I hauled the carbonite over to his fancy ship then went back and set my course to my home planet.

I let out a sigh and took off. "Well let's get off this stink hole." I muttered. Getting home wasn't the hard part. Sneaking on the planet was. I happened to get myself banished for rejecting the mayor's son's proposal. Finally slipping in undetected I slowly landed on the uneven surface and got off. Entering through the window instead of the door I turned the lights on. "Hello Callie! How was this months job?" ATLAS asked. "It was fine ATLAS. How was the fort while I was gone?" I asked the A.i. "All went soothingly. there was only one hiccup." he said showing up in his holographic form. "Oh?" "The mayor's son stopped by a couple time. I told him that you had gone on a job and has found a new home." he reported. "You made an error." I groaned. "And what was that?" he asked confused. "You talked to him. He knows I would take something like you with me if I left." I said sitting on the edge of my chair. "I did no such thing!" he exclaimed. "Whoever heard of an A.i doing such a ridiculous thing!? I simply wrote a note. saying and i quote- "You're quoting your own words wow that a new one." I jokingly cut him off. He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "As i was saying i told him 'I have moved to another planet so please to not bother coming here anymore. Also give up any feelings you had for me for the feeling is not mutual.' and that was all." "Wow you put it way more polite than I would have." I said, grabbing a piece of bread from my cabinet. "My dear Cal you must learn proper edict someday you will find yourself in need of it." he stated sourly. "Yes, well keep telling me that because I will do it." I said sarcastically.

I laid wide awake the entire night. Maybe I should leave...."Nah what am i thinking. it's fun not having anyone around." I said the last part to myself. "Go to sleep Callie you need it." ATLAS said suddenly. A normal person would be scared to death by the sudden words that came from darkness, but I was used to it. ATLAS had been with me since "I was a little girl. My grandma gave him to me. Heaving a sigh I rolled over and closed my eyes. "ATLAS?" I asked. "Yes?" he replied promtly. "What do you think about going to the capital Planet of this realm and getting transported to another one? No one would know us. we could start over?" I said sitting up. He stayed quiet for a little bit then appeared beside me. "I think it would be a grand idea" "But?" "But we haven't the money for realm transportation." he said said with a sad smile. "Who said anything about paying?" I said mischievously. "Callie! you can't be serious. It's the capital, you won't even be able to get passed the first gate." he critasized. "You know how many gates there are!? We are so doing it now!" I said jumping up. "Callie no. we aren't doing this!" "Look ATLAS I can easily get through with your help and even if I didn't have your help I could still do it. You know what I can do." I smiled. "Also I have a couple people with money that own me." I smirked. He stared at me in shock. "Fine, fine, fine, fine. Let's do this." he said walking out of the room. "You're the best ATLAS!" I said starting to pack. I didn't have much so it didn't take long, but I did make sure to take all my weapons. ATLAS could eaily get them transported. I grabbed ATLA's backup chip and put it in my ship. "Let's go, team!" I shouted as we took off.

It took five days to reach the Capital. When we finally did, I landed the ship and had ATLAS turn into his human self. He looked so real that no one could tell he was A.i. I hid in the closet as he started negotiating with the guards. "We have to search your ship for weapons. none of those are supposed to be realm hopped." the Captain said. "Of course sir do as you like." ATLAS replied. I noticed he hid all the weapons and made them look like art. I heard them approach the closet. "Oh crap" I muttered. When the door opened I squinted at the brightness.
