"Sir Sephicroth, Please go easy on His Highness. He isn't used to your 'antics'. It would be nice if you toned down your personality a bit." Jill says, bowing her head.
"I have no idea what you could be referring to." Sephicroth crosses his arms, looking away from Jill as he smirks.
"You know, the casual enjoyment of torture, the constant sass, all the explosive rage. Other things I forgot from my training." She sweats realising she gave the dark mass fuel to use against her.
(Narrator) There's the overconfidence, acting above everyone else, unnecessary hate for all of humanity. Just to name a few.
"I'll address what you just said in a moment Jill." Sephicroth says. He looks directly at Tariku, making the Wisp turn bright yellow with dread flooding his light. "You do realise I can also hear you. It's not just Christopher. We share the same body."
(Narrator)...Oh my Gods, I am so sorry. Please don't erase my existence.
"Who do you take me for? I'm not just some mindless monster. Why would you ever think I would murder you?" Sephicroth says in befuddled annoyance.
(Narrator) I uh…
Sephicroth laughs, making Tariku wince. "C'mon man, no need to shit yourself. Little known fact, we're the same age, so I think of you as my twin."
(Narrator) whhu…Seriously? Did you really make me make myself sound like a bitch!?
Sephicroth shrugs, a devious smirk stretches from ear to ear. "What can I say? I enjoy the chaos."
"Hold on a second." Christopher buts in, taking control back of his head and mouth for a moment to speak. "You better explain that. The fuck do you mean Seph?"
"...Hmmn, I actually don't recall anything until Hilda died coming to think of it." Sephicroth says curiously. "I woke up that day and since then I've gotten little tidbits of my existence. And it pisses me off that the demons seem to think they can control me. They can certainly try, but I'll kill any of those fuckers that try to harm us, our family, and our companions." He says with admonishment.
Jasyn grunts. "That's the most Christopher thing you've said this entire time."
Sephicroth replies with the fakest sad expression I've ever seen. "What about when I used your nickname, my wittle Jassy Wassy?"
Jasyn gags, holding back the bile in his throat. He rips off the final appendage of the Ghast before storming towards Sephicroth with a scowl. "If you weren't in my husband's body I'd crush you where you stand."
"Oh honey." Sephicroth waves his hand with scorn. "You couldn't crush me if you tried. Only one person in this world could possibly hurt me and she isn't even here."
"I can think of three actually." Christopher retorts.
"Shut up, I'm trying to sound intimidating!" Sephicroth bites.
"By telling falsehoods?"
"Don't tell me what's true and what's false. It's completely irrelevant."
Christopher and Sephicroth continue to argue amongst themselves for quite a while. At the same time, Jill strikes up a conversation with Jasyn on the matter.
"It's kinda scary how they can do that." Jill has several droplets of sweat running down the side of her face. She pats them dry with the torn piece of the fabric she used to wipe the Zombie blood off her blade.
Jasyn pulls a gold embroidered white handkerchief from underneath a plate in his armour, handing it to Jill. "This is the first time I've experienced it myself. Quite jarring indeed." his voice muffled by his Mythril helm.
A short silent exchange manifests between the two as Jill humbly accepts the hanky, watching as Christopher and Sephicroth continue to bicker.
"You think they'll stop anytime soon?" Jill asks.
"They're both immensely stubborn. I doubt either of them will concede." Jasyn replies.
…
"I guess it's up to me to divert their attention." Jasyn says, walking over to where he had tossed the last limb of the Ghast. He picks it up, lobbing it over at them. "Are you two done? We still have a job to do, you know."
The cacophony of Christopher's voice halts as Sephicroth consumes the flesh. "Yes, I believe we got a little off track there, didn't we?"
"Just finish it off already Seph so Christopher can continue what he does best. I don't wish to interact with you for any longer than I have to." Jasyn remarks.
Sephicroth pouts, lazily walking back over to the rest of the Ghast. "How hurtful. I thought we were getting on swimmingly, meanie." He crouches down in front of the Undead monstrosity, placing his palm on his forehead.
Chunky sucking sounds reverberate from its head as the bottom of its torso starts to sag. It's starting to become clear that Sephicroth wants this to be as slow and as painful for the beast as possible. Every time a new part of the Ghasts body gets consumed by the Demon Seed, it makes sloppy sucking sounds.
Its liver, lungs, intestines, stomach, and yes all its bones grind into pulp and slurped up by him. The freshly exhumed Undead produces a satisfied exhale from Sephicroth, with not even its skull left in its body, only the pale thin skin remains as a husk. Jasyn forcibly removes his Mythril helm as he vomits from the putrid act.
Sephicroth picks up the skin sack, flopping it around. "Would make a nice handbag, wouldn't you agree?" The nonchalant statement causes Jasyn to expel the rest of the contents inside his stomach.
Jill uses the handkerchief to delicately cover her mouth as she grimaces. "Please get rid of it, Sir. It's difficult to look at."
Sephicroth shrugs, consuming the skin sac. Before relinquishing control back to Christopher he smirks at Jill. "Just call me Seph, I'd much prefer it to titles."
The Black misty aura dissipates, leaving behind a holy, even celestial essence in the air. Christopher expresses a soft subtle smile at the pair. "Let's continue shall we? We need to get to that anomaly afterall."
Tariku presses his light into his chest, his light shining an uncomfortable sickly yellow.
(Narrator) Having to be that close to Sephicroth was wholly miserable…I wanna cry.
"He was begging to finish off the Ghast. It's kind of difficult to refuse yourself." Christopher excuses.
"I'm not particularly taking a liking to him either." Jasyn says, spitting out the bitter vomit coating his mouth.
Christopher offers his hand to Jasyn to help him stand. "Not exactly thrilled about you saying that, my love."
Jasyn huffs. "Why? It's just some..thing that's infesting your body." He grabs Christopher's hand.
Christopher seems exasperated by this, irritated by his accusation. "Sephicroth is a part of me. Not to mention one of the only reasons you're still alive right now. Instead of criticising my negative qualities, try being thankful that it saved your life." He lets go of Jasyn, letting him fall to the ground. Jasyn is stunned by this as he looks up in confusion.
Christopher walks away towards the edge of the crater without saying a word, beckoning Jill to follow him. Jill looks at Jasyn for a moment before giving a sorry expression before walking with the reigning monarch of the Dimensional Kingdom of Loreafan.
Jill moves a stride behind Christopher, they both stop at the edge in awe of the sheer expanse of the inverse semicircle. "Are you sure that was the correct approach, Your Highness?"
Christopher sighs. "He only ever experiences the surface of my hostility when it appears. It's not like I can't become angry or spiteful. But it quickly disappears thanks to Seph. He needs to understand that, so I'll let him mull it over for a while."
Right, Let me catch you up on what has been happening. Let's just start with the fact that Christopher is refusing to talk to Jasyn. Honestly the silence is killing me. Next would be the fact that we found the anomaly. We aren't there YET. But it seems to be a big hunk of metallic black stuff. We wouldn't have noticed it if not for the sun shining off of it.
I think that the last and most evident fact is that I'm seeing hundreds of powerful Undead. A good amount of them are Ghouls which is, just fantastic. Shame they only paralyse the living. Their paralytic gas is fumigating the entire region.
"How are we supposed to get through here?" Jill asks, covering her mouth out of caution.
"Three ways. Wind Magic to blow it away. Earth Magic to produce activated charcoal to absorb the gas. Or Fire Magic, because heat makes air rise essentially doing the same thing as a slight breeze." Christopher says matter-of-factly.
"So in other words, basic magic." Jasyn adds, he is met with silence and a grimace from Christopher. Jasyn looks depressed.
(Narrator) I feel bad for the big guy. C'mon Christopher, I can't handle the silent treatment towards him any longer!
"You can shut it too, Tari. I'm not in the mood for that kind of nonsense." Christopher snaps. Tariku whimpers under the force of his words.
"There's no need to take it out on the Wisp. What is wrong with you?" Jasyn blurts.
"What's wrong with ME?!...What's wrong with me? You have to be kidding me right? Because if you aren't I'm going to seriously question our relationship."
"You're going mad! What the fuck have I done?!" Jasyn rebukes.
Jill places herself between the two, looking up at Jasyn's muscular frame. "You need to apologise, Highness. What you were saying to and about Sephicroth, the other half of his personality was simply appalling." She says firmly.
