"We are arriving at the college soon, Master." Beerwolf says through a small window out to the driver's bench.
"Thank you Beerwolf." Christopher says.
"What is the purpose for this detour anyway?" Jasyn asks, his voice slightly muffled by his helm.
"I want to surprise my brother and sister with a visit as one of the kings of a new nation. Dime assured me they don't know yet." Christopher answers.
"Who's the other? *Gasp* Am I really your side hustle?" Jasyn jokingly mocks.
"Stop. You're the other king, you idiot." Christopher laughs.
"I know. Still doesn't seem quite real yet. Does it?" Jasyn says, holding Christopher's hand.
"Dime is in the process of building us a Royal House. Which is just my personal dimension. He's apparently trying to figure out how to link the other dimensions to one another, like a chain of entrances. I'm not sure how practical that is yet though." Christopher says.
"Judging by your reaction, you dont think it's safe, do you?" Jasyn asks.
"It's not that I don't think it's safe. I trust that Dime can stabilise the rift inside a dimension to another but, I dont think it's the right call for a king. Having the Royal Estate separate from the nation itself doesn't feel great." Christopher says.
"Maybe you could have it to where they link, all the dimensions together." Jasyn says.
"Dime is just going to complete the technology and then I can make up my mind. I may be a completely solitary creature but I actually like interacting with people." Christopher says.
"But your energy just runs out quickly, right?" Jasyn continues.
"Exactly." Christopher confirms.
"It's ok to not be ok." Jasyn says.
The carriage slows to a halt and a few moments go by before Beerwolf opens the door to the carriage. Beerwolf steps aside and Jasyn walks out in his full suit of Mythril armour. He looks back inside the carriage and offers his hand. Christopher grabs his hand and Beerwolf introduces them to the small group waiting in front of the college.
"I have the great honour of introducing Their Royal Highness'. His Majesty, King Christopher Laird The Healer King, and His Majesty King Jasyn Laird The Mythril Warrior. Please offer them your welcome." Beerwolf drops to a knee as Christopher takes a step out of the carriage.
"I hate this already." Christopher mutters through a soft smile and gritted teeth.
"Stay strong my love." Jasyn whispers, gripping his hand a little tighter for extra reassurance.
…
"We are so honoured that someone such as yourself would come to visit our school. However when I received your letter, I wasn't expecting you to come on the same day." A lady in a suit says, bowing her head slightly.
"Ah. you must be The GrandMaster. Pleasure to meet your acquaintance." Christopher replies.
"May I ask you something, Your Majesty?" She lifts her head and Christopher nods. "Why come here?"
"Oh, I didn't tell you, did I?" Christopher chuckles behind his hand. "My dear brother and sister attend your institution."
"Huh?" A look of disbelief spreads across the GrandMaster's face. "Your brother?" The look turns to pure horror. "And sister?!"
"Mr Longstaff, Ms Longstaff, The King has requested your presence in a private room here at campus." The GrandMaster says, opening the door to their ongoing class.
"For us?" Heather asks.
…
A few of the other students start to laugh maniacally. One of them, a well kept female dragonoid speaks up. "Maybe his Royal Majesty wants to finally punish these impudent commoners by beheading them. This is an institution of higher learning afterall." She flips her hair back in a proud gesture.
(Narrator) Dragonoid is just a shortened version of a Humanoid, Dragon Newt. Powerful people to be sure, but Heather could clearly wipe the floor with her whenever she wanted. But, I guess this is a situation of status more than anything.
"Interesting." Christopher says, walking into the class with Jasyn behind him. "Is that how you should address Royalty?"
"Huh?" The noble girl says with disgust in her voice.
"Allow me to introduce you. This is His Majesty King Christopher Liard of The Dimensional Kingdom of Loreafan. Accompanied by His Highness, King Jasyn Liard of The Dimensional Kingdom of Loreafan and their attendant." The GrandMaster says.
"Huh?" Heather says.
"Huh?!" Haider says.
…
"I don't appreciate the way you were talking to my siblings. Didn't you know they're above you?" Christopher taunts.
…
"Huh?" The Dragonoid Girl says, this time with fear.
…
"I would have YOU beheaded for speaking to The Prince and Princess of Loreafan in such a disgusting manner." Christopher says.
…
(Narrator) Perhaps there's a side story here. I'll just let Mother and Father know.
"Wh-wh-wh-what? No. Please Your greatness. Don't kill me. I swear it was only a joke!" The Dragonoid pleads.
"Was it now? What is your name?" Jasyn says with firm grit and authority.
"My name? It's Ms Geneva Bloomand, Your Highness." huh?
(Narrator) OOOH! Daddy gonna be mad!
"Really?" Jasyn says with humour.
"I happen to be great friends with a Bloomand. Specifically your father, Beauregard Bloomand. Dime, would you please notify Beau with the recorded evidence of Ms Geneva throwing around her noble status at a public institute?" Christopher says with an evil grin.
(Dime) It will be done, Sir.
"What? No! Please, anything but that. Just chop off my head!" Geneva says, her voice is shaky. Tear drops fall from her eyes. "Anything but my father. He can be so cruel when he's mad."
"Oh I am well aware." Christopher says.
…
"How can you be so nasty!" A girl next to her says.
Christopher gets in close to be face to face with the other Dragonoid. "I may be a merciful King, The Holy Healer as some have been calling me. But if anyone hurts my precious brother and sister, I will drag the vilest filth from the deepest depths of Hel to torment them for the rest of their lives." Christopher gestures his head to The twins to exit the room and as he exits he looks back and says, "Oh, by the way. I didn't mean anything I said. You can relax. I hope you learned your lesson Ms Bloomand. Next time, you won't be given such mercy."
"You really weren't very nice to her though, brother." Heather says, a down look on her face.
"She was being a bully. I just gave her a taste of her own medicine." Christopher says with disapproving scowl, sipping from a cup of tea.
"We were doing fine. Besides, it's just verbal." Haider says.
"I disapprove of your actions as well Master." Beerwolf says.
Christopher looks at him with worry. "You too?"
"It is very unbecoming of a King to threaten and manipulate a noble of another country. You should've just left the threats out and informed Beauregard of what his daughter was doing." Beerwolf says.
"I can't say she didn't deserve it, but Beerwolf is right. You should've handled it with more grace." Jasyn adds.
Christopher sighs. "I mean, it is a crime to speak ill of the Royalty of any Country. How else could I have enacted my wrath?"
(Dime) You should've penalised her with a fine, Sir. After all, the sentence of insulting Royalty in Loreafan is Mana. 30% to be exact.
"Fine, I'll fix this right now. Beerwolf, would you please bring her to me?" Christopher says.
Beerwolf bows and leaves the extravagant lounge.
"Why are you here anyway? And why did the GrandMaster say your name was Liard? Did you two get married and didn't invite us? And what's this about us being royalty?" Heather asks.
"Jeez, one question at a time." Christopher puts the tea on the table between them. "Lets see, no we haven't married, it's better to join our names in the eyes of the public, I'm here for an outfit request. And, You became a Princess and Prince when the country was founded. Haider is 1st in line as he's a man, and you're 2nd in line Heather. After both me and Jasyn retire, of course."
"Right." Heather pauses. "Wait, an outfit request? What is it you need?"
"I am heading to Mercter on a diplomatic mission to introduce myself to their people or whatever. And I was advised to get an outfit that matched their culture in cold climates as a show of respect. Do you think you can do it?" Christopher says.
Heather and Haider look at one another. "I'll compensate you of course. I know it'll be a ton of trouble around your studies." Christopher adds.
"We'll need to do some research on it first but it shouldn't be a problem. How long will it take for you to get there?" Haider asks, petting his Snow Fox, Skift.
"It'll take about two to three weeks to get to the border. I think." Christopher says.
"Then that's plenty of time then." Hadier says. "Do you have an idea of what you want it to look like?"
