Chapter 544 - A decision (5)

In the same alley where No. 4 was, the walkers had already reached his side. However, he had no intention of moving to protect his body.

Rrrr!

One of the walkers was about to bite his back, but at that moment a pair of strong, dark arms grabbed the walker's neck and lifted it as if it weighed nothing at all.

Then, with great force, he snapped the walker's neck and with a punch, the figure flew forward and rolled several times.

The strong figure with dark skin, bearing a No. 3 on his forehead, didn't wait for the walker to try to get up. He took a step forward and quickly stomped on its head, shattering its skull into pieces.

Upon seeing that the path had been cleared of walkers, No. 1 walked slowly towards the innermost corridor.

But when he caught up with the other two, his eyes scanned the area, and after a few seconds, his eyes fixed on No. 4's horrific arm. He furrowed his brow slightly and scolded him:

"You idiot, dealing with the infected is the least you can do. They can still infect you. When you die, I'll be the one to cut off your head."

No. 4, who was walking slowly, couldn't help but stop when he heard these words. He raised his arm and looked down, finding a faint bite mark on his wrist.

He didn't refute at that moment. He reached back and put his hand into the side of his backpack, pulling out a machete and cutting off his hand.

As his hand fell to the ground, the man with the No. 3 on his forehead approached and applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding, then covered the wound with a cloth.

"Damn useless things!"

Seeing that No. 4 had completed the disposal process, No. 1 snorted in dissatisfaction. He walked in front of a door that had just been pounded by walkers and kicked it.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by a loud crash, the door of the room fell like paper, hitting the wall behind it.

"Eh?"

But when No. 1 entered the room, all he saw was an empty room and the curtains blown by the fresh wind outside the window.

Walking slowly to the edge of the open window, he looked at the anti-theft fence of a broken post outside. He couldn't help but laugh and say, "I told you, did you really think you could deceive me like that?"

Having said that, No. 1 approached the corner locker, opened the small door at the bottom, and pulled out a hidden figure with a smile.

"Good!"

"Let me go, you damn demon!"

As he was grabbed by the hem of his clothes and lifted up, the child who was hiding in the locker struggled in terror, gasping for breath and fear. He groaned with a flushed face, trying to pry off the hands around his neck with both hands.

At the same time, No. 2 walked towards another locker, but it was empty, without any human figure.

"Boy, where is she? Tell me, I'll spare your life if I find her..."

Seeing this situation, No. 1 furrowed his brow slightly and looked straight ahead, threatening and luring him to disclose the location of the other person.

"You bastard, don't even try to find her!"

But the child didn't believe a word. He thought of the tragic death of his parents. At this moment, he was no longer afraid. He looked at the man in front of him with red eyes and spat at him fiercely.

But No. 1 simply tilted his head slightly to avoid the flying saliva, stopped asking further questions, and slammed the person against the wall next to him.

Seeing the child struggling on the ground, he drew his gun and aimed it at the child, blowing off his head.

Bang!

"It seems like she escaped. We must find her before she escapes or gets bitten by an infected!"

Half of the task was completed. No. 1 looked back at the broken anti-theft fence and gestured to No. 3 to fix it.

No. 3 received the order, his strong and powerful arms tightened immediately, and his veins bulged as if he was gathering strength. Then he roared and punched the wall next to the window.

"Boom!"

When the fist landed on the wall, an enormous hole immediately appeared in the seemingly indestructible wall.

In case of emergency, No. 3 waved his fist again, and this time he directly broke a gap in the wall.

No. 1 emerged from the gap and looked around, but there was nothing but an empty space, no female figure in sight.

Just as he was about to call No. 6, he seemed to have noticed something: on the dusty floor, a scarlet drop of blood was particularly striking.

...

Ta... Ta... Ta... Ta...

In the narrow streets of the village, Daryl clumsily maneuvered, listening to the movement behind him, and frequently turning corners.

Bang Bang Bang!

At the moment he disappeared around the bend, the sound of gunfire was accompanied by bullets striking the wall, leaving three conspicuous bullet holes, and a figure quickly pursued him.

Hoo... hoo...

Feeling his physical condition steadily declining, yet unable to escape the pursuers behind him, Daryl couldn't help but curse inwardly, only thinking that he might be too old, so he opened the door of a bookstore and entered.

Looking into the dark bookstore, he found a corner and hid again before he had time to think, pulling out the rifle from his side and being ready to shoot at any moment.

Soon, the door of the bookstore served as his refuge. Picking up the radio, he began to communicate, his body quickly retreating, obviously noticing the presence of the rifle during the chase.

Keeping his head down, Daryl grabbed the radio when he saw that the figure pursuing him was standing at the door and not entering.

Knowing that the prey wouldn't take the bait on its own, he hesitated no more, aiming the rifle barrel at a short distance outside the door and squeezing the trigger forcefully.

Bang!
