"It's a cult..." Daryl explained to Airon and the others what he had discovered about the man who was creating that mountain of corpses.
It turned out that there were two different groups of attackers: on one side was the CRM, and on the other side was the cult, a group or community of the Red Army. Similar to the Wolves, the Red Army operates apparently in separate groups that follow a single religion.
These people, according to the words of the individual who died at Daryl's hands, are driven by fear and clearly madness. Everyone is somehow invited to join the Red Army, but very few end up becoming members and survive to tell the tale.
Airon's group, of course, didn't have all the information about the Red Army, as a simple mentally unstable person couldn't provide them with all that vital information, even if tortured.
But according to Lydia's words, she presented the Red Army as an insidious and perverse organization that acts systematically and strategically to foster destruction and murder. Their structure resembles that of a malignant cult, where their followers are devout fanatics willing to commit inhumane acts in the name of their twisted cause.
This group is characterized by its extreme religious fanaticism and belief in "ascension," a distorted concept that seeks to turn everyone into walkers. The Red Army uses this belief to justify their ruthless and violent actions, convinced that they are fulfilling a divine mission.
Their actions are marked by violence and brutality. They carry out surprise attacks and sabotage, leaving a trail of death and chaos in their wake. They employ sadistic methods and torture to subdue those who oppose them, relishing the agony and suffering of their victims.
The Red Army is surrounded by an aura of mystery and darkness. They live in a fortified complex, surrounded by high walls and guarded by armed sentries. Their enigmatic religious practices and dark rituals create an unsettling and sinister atmosphere that instills fear in those who are aware of their existence.
Within this cult, loyalty to the leader, known as Deucalion, is unwavering. Deucalion is considered a god by his followers and leads with an iron fist, imposing his will on them and manipulating them to perpetuate chaos and destruction.
The Red Army shows no mercy or compassion towards their victims. Kidnappings, torture, and killings are commonplace in their modus operandi. They have no ethical or moral boundaries and are willing to commit any act to achieve their twisted objectives.
In short, the Red Army is a perverse and malevolent cult that delights in violence, destruction, and murder. Their distorted belief in ascension and their disregard for human life make them a formidable and ruthless threat in the post-apocalyptic world.

Communication room, South Carolina border base.
"Have you made contact with the commanding general?" A voice from the intercom came out of a much larger radio integrated into a special room.
"So far, no one is responding. A special group of fifty elite soldiers has been sent, and the checkpoints in nearby cities have been reinforced."
Michonne, after finishing her report on what she had discovered about the Red Army, murmured with a heavy voice, "I hope they come back safe and sound."

Operations Base, Atlanta.
Sam walked quickly towards the conference room where he could contact all the SCT bases regarding the recent attacks and the information gathered so far.
Meanwhile, his personal assistant informed him about the changes that had occurred in the base.
"Sir, the situation in our base in Atlanta has become increasingly tense and dangerous due to the constant suicide attacks with walkers. We have been forced to strengthen our defenses and security measures to ensure the survival of our community."
"We have reinforced the perimeters with stronger barricades and improvised traps to slow down the walkers' advance. Our guards are more alert than ever, and regular patrols have been implemented in the surrounding areas to detect any potential threat."
"In addition, we have established strict entry and exit protocols, with thorough checks to verify the condition of individuals entering or leaving our base. Each person undergoes rigorous inspections to ensure they are not infected or have been bitten by walkers, and we confiscate any suspicious items."
"Our quarantine area has been expanded and improved to isolate potential infected individuals and prevent the spread of the infection. Decontamination measures have been implemented, and regular tests are conducted to detect any signs of the disease. The safety of our community is our top priority."
"Furthermore, we have enhanced internal communication and coordination among our group members. Each one of us understands the importance of being vigilant and alert at all times. Meeting points and safe shelters have been established in case of a sudden attack."
"These changes in our defenses and security have provided us with a greater sense of protection and confidence, but they have also reminded us of the terrifying reality we live in. We know we must be prepared for any eventuality, and our survival depends on our ability to adapt and respond quickly and efficiently to the threats we face."
"In summary, the base in Atlanta has significantly increased its defenses and security measures due to the suicide attacks with walkers. Our community is more united and committed than ever, willing to do whatever it takes to survive in this hostile world."
Sam nodded and ordered, "For now, we will avoid mobilizing survivors to the central base, except for the central base, we will move people with a two-month advance notice to the recovered cities to prevent other locations from being attacked."
"Understood, sir. I will consider that and issue orders accordingly."
Entering the conference room, Sam looked at everyone and said, "Good afternoon, everyone! I regret to inform you that Airon is currently unavailable, but that doesn't mean we should stop in our efforts to ensure the safety of our community. Today, we gather to generate ideas and discuss how we can prevent and avoid terrorist attacks with walkers. We need to stay one step ahead of our enemies and protect our people at all times. Does anyone have any suggestions or proposals to share?"
A captain who was one step away from being a commander said, "Commander, we could implement additional patrols in the vicinity of our base. These patrols could inspect suspicious areas and detect any signs of unusual activity within the survivors."
Sam looked at that captain and nodded, "Good suggestion. Additional patrols could be an effective measure to keep us alert and have updated knowledge of what's happening in our surroundings. Does anyone else have any ideas?"
"Commander, we could further fortify our defenses at key access points, such as the main entrances and weak points in our barricades. We could add additional obstacles and reinforce existing structures to make infiltration attempts more difficult."
"That wouldn't be useful; what we need to do is increase the quarantine period for those survivors to forty days instead of three, at least until we solve these issues."
"Very well, I agree with that," said Sam with a nod.
"Commander, we could implement an enhanced surveillance system, using security cameras and drones to more effectively monitor our surroundings. This would allow us to detect any suspicious activity from a distance and take preventive measures in a timely manner."
"Surveillance technology gives us a significant advantage by allowing us to observe broader areas and detect potential threats before they get too close to our base. We will continue exploring options to improve our surveillance system."
"Thank you all for your valuable ideas and suggestions. We will continue working together to stay one step ahead of our enemies and ensure the safety of our community. Remember, constant vigilance and adaptability are key in this fight. Let's move forward and stay strong together!"
"Glory to humanity!"
