Airon sat on a chair, watching the two men in front of him. His dark, penetrating eyes studied them intensely as he decided how to proceed. The two men were members of an enemy faction that threatened the territory he and his people had recently taken over. Airon needed information in order to prepare his team and attack the enemy base. He was willing to do whatever it took to get the information he needed.
"I'll ask you a simple question, let's start with something very small," said Airon in a cold and determined voice. "Where is your base?"
The two men looked at him with an expression of extreme fear, as if they had suddenly lost the ability to speak. Airon frowned at their attitude.
"I'm surprised you're not willing to cooperate," said Airon. "If you give me the information I need, I can make sure you're treated with a little more humanity and have a chance to escape with all four limbs intact."
The two men remained silent, which only angered Airon more. He raised his voice in a sharper tone: "I'll give you another chance! Where is your base?"
"You're going to kill us anyway, how can we trust you?"
"Yeah, you're almost fooling us..."
The two men seemed to have changed their minds and remained silent. Airon took a deep breath and stood up from his chair. He walked towards the closest man and punched him hard in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground while gasping for air.
"Boom!"
"Are you sure you don't want to talk?" Airon asked as he crouched down near the man.
"Go to hell!" The man spat with a grunt, provoking a mocking smile on Airon's face.
"Suit yourself." Responded Airon before standing up. "But keep in mind that this is just the beginning."
As he said this, Airon drew his knife and plunged it into one man's leg, causing him to let out a gut-wrenching scream of pain.
"Ah!"
However, Airon knew he couldn't afford to go too far. He couldn't risk killing these men before getting the information he needed. Also, he didn't want to appear weak to them or lose his own morality in front of people who barely cook it.
If so, what's the difference between someone like him and these people?
Airon approached the other man and lifted him up from his chair with brutality. He held him by the neck as he looked at him with a ruthless gaze.
"Where is your base?" Airon repeated with an authoritative voice.
The man looked terrified and finally began to speak: "It's in Tampa!"
"I can't hear you, speak louder!"
"Our community is in Florida, Tampa... It was impossible for us to take over all of Florida since the walkers are hundreds of thousands..."
"How many people are in your base?" Abraham asked for this important information they needed to know before taking any further action.
"There are more than fifteen thousand of us, many have died from recent walker hordes that had left Alabama..."
"What kind of weapons do you have?"
"We have everything, machine guns, tanks, good weapons, and numerous checkpoints."
"Mark on the map where the control bases are located!"
With this information, Airon planned what to do next and would know the best way to act in this situation.
Airon listened attentively and noted every important detail. Once he had all the information he needed, he released the two men and removed them from the area.
Airon knew he had taken drastic measures to get the information he needed, but he also knew he was fighting for a just cause. Now he was ready to lead his team to the enemy base and put an end to this threat once and for all.
After everyone had obtained weapons and ammunition from the enemy, Airon stood away from the group so he could think about what to do next.
Suddenly, Airon heard footsteps behind him and turned his head. "Abraham..."
"It seems we have a big problem hidden in Florida, do you think it's a problem?" Abraham was too optimistic, thinking that no one could stop them.
However, this time Airon was thinking differently. "Things could go either very well or very badly... It's easy to persuade people who think the world is ending, but we are slowly recovering that world."
"They would be damn fools not to accept the new world we are building over time. It doesn't seem as bad as it appears..." Abraham smiled quietly.
"At least we know that Adam's group was truthful about everything these people said. We need to take that into account since it's not common..."
"Let's go back and get moving. We have to make some calls to our people in Alabama. The next few days will likely be even more chaotic."
Airon knew how to persuade these people in the "New Paradise" community. Who wouldn't trust them if they suddenly appeared with a power only the military could have today?
The least of their worries is how these people will react, but rather how long it will take to take charge of them in this place.
