Chapter 301 - They messed with the wrong people

With Gareth's release, the group completely lost their last hope of getting out of this place.

The entire group was soon escorted to the outside of a container. On the way many saw different types of containers, some of which had people still screaming, and then they saw other people being taken to another location.

Rick walked in front of the group with his head down, not giving up even now, but in this situation he could not solve the problem even if he had a hostage on his hands.

The other side has a much better chance of persuasion than he does. Once something goes wrong, the consequences are out of his control. Whether it's Lori or anyone else, he doesn't want anyone to die because of it. So, the thing to do now is to first stabilize the situation and then come up with something optimal.

Paying attention to the passing containers, Rick also noticed the detained survivors, guessing what was going on in this place, and walked towards a container unknowingly.

"Halt, the leader must walk to the container door!"

Rick knew he was clearly referring to him, and after a bit of hesitation, he walked toward the container. One by one, they all lined up at the container door.

Katie stood at the end, watching as all the people close to her left her one by one, the girl was a little nervous, her restless eyes scanned the crowd and her body involuntarily walked towards Elen who was in front.

"Stop, who told you to move!"

A member of the Terminus yelled, reached out and grabbed Katie's neck, and the girl sat down on the ground with a thud.

Katie no longer communicates with others because she witnessed her parents' death with her own eyes. She doesn't usually cry or laugh, but she is still a child after all. She was terrified of being treated so roughly at this time, and sat motionless.

Seeing Katie's appearance, Elen felt distressed and wanted to run, but Guillermo stopped her and signaled her not to move with his eyes, it was then that he slowly stepped out of the crowd.

"Hey, she's just a kid, no need to be so serious!"

Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang!

At that moment, there was a burst of gunfire, and a cloud of smoke and dust rose in front of Guillermo, and his footsteps froze, but he heard Gareth standing not far away and shouting loudly.

"If they didn't ask you to move, don't move, otherwise the next bullet won't hit the ground, do you understand?"

The sudden shot took him by surprise, but still Guillermo did not retreat, but pointed to Katie sitting there and said, "This girl has autism. If no one is with her, she won't obey your commands. I'm just trying to bring her in."

Seeing the other party shrug indifferently, he thought he agreed, but as he was about to approach, he heard Gareth's voice again.

"What does this have to do with me? Since the rules are designed, we must follow them. No one can change the rules by chance. Otherwise, what will this place become?"

As soon as the words fell, several people not far away raised their guns and pointed at Katie.

Helplessly gritting his teeth, Guillermo could only look at Katie not far away and said in an encouraging tone.

"Katie, look at me, do you still know me? I'm the one who carried you on my back, remember? Do you want to come with Elen and Noa?"

The girl was still sitting there, looking over to this side with a dazed expression. Naturally, she knew Guillermo, but at this moment she was too scared to move, so she could only sit in place with her arms around her legs, motionless.

"You can do it, look at me, you just need to come, let's go to Elen, okay? You don't want her to be sad, do you?"

After some fervent coaxing, Katie finally had a reaction. With her head lowered, a pair of eyes focused in the center of the people in front of her, she finally got up from the floor and after seeing Guillermo ran to him.

Guillermo stretched out his arms to embrace the girl and hugged her tightly. He did not look back, but changed direction and backed up, and soon reached the end of the line again.

Elen watched helplessly as Guillermo backed up step by step and finally couldn't help but stop him, tears welling up uncontrollably.

"Bravo!"

There was rhythmic applause, and Gareth looked at him jokingly and said in a joking tone.

"That was so touching I almost cried..."

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha."

Looking angrily at these bastards who indulged in this, they all held their breath and stopped their anger. In contrast, Abraham, who had reacted violently earlier, became much quieter at this point. He stood silently behind Rick, head bowed, unable to concentrate his thoughts.

Seeing that everyone was lined up, Gareth's expression returned to normal and he shouted loudly.

"Rick, open the door and come in one by one, slowly."

Slp!

Looking at the completely dark space in front of him, Rick's expression didn't change one bit, and he walked straight in, while Abraham behind him also walked in without saying a word.

Srak, Auge!

When the door closed, the container fell back into darkness. Rick had known the situation inside for a long time. By the time the door closed, his head was up and the expression on his face still remained serious.

"Shane?"

"Rick, you're alive! Great."

Seeing that his brother was still alive, Shane temporarily forgot his current situation and stepped forward to hug Rick's shoulder.

At this point, Rick showed a dissatisfied expression and looked at the other party with some guilt.

"What the hell are you thinking, how could you have gotten Lori off the base?"

"It's not his fault. I went out without telling anyone. I called a few people to come out with me."

"What?"

Rick couldn't believe his ears.

"Are you stupid, didn't you learn enough last time?"

Lori's lips were pursed and her head hung low. If anyone was under the most pressure here, it was her. Because of her reckless behavior, nearly twenty people have been arrested here.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

Looking at his wife who was obviously a little broken, Rick still swallowed the next words. The matter has reached this point, and the most important thing now is to consider how to escape.

Pointing to the strong man behind him, he made a brief introduction and the two groups of people knew each other, so what they were about to do was naturally to discuss the next plan to get out of this place.

Since Abraham entered the container, he has also returned to his previous state. It was obvious that he was faking it at this point. He is only a strong figure, but his brain is not stupid at all. At this moment, he was the first one to speak.

"What's next? We can't give up."

At this moment, Rick's eyes had adjusted to the dim light inside the container, after looking around, he couldn't help but smile, and Shane to the side also returned a smile.

They all looked at several wooden pillars in the container that were all cut down, and several people were holding a wooden spike in their hands.

Shane asked with some anticipation.

"Did you bring it?"

"Yes!"

Guillermo and Morgan didn't speak, but they all took off their boots and tapped their heels lightly.

Bang!

Three broken blades with a cold light slid from the heels, and Shane also moved his waist and an identical broken blade appeared in his hand.

Rosita and the others on the side stared at these weapons and became even more curious about the origins of these guys. How much had they suffered? They have prepared very well, but they don't know that they alone were following Airon's protocol.

Rick hid the long knife, turned and looked through the gap in the container, then turned his head and said in a deep voice to the people behind him.

"Get ready, we'll let you know when the time is right!"

Abraham asked a little strangely.

"You know something?"

"Just one thing, they messed with the wrong people!"
