Chapter 262 - Beginning

As soon as Stevens' companions left, Airon left T-dog behind, Glenn and Michonne and Sasha moved to the RV's upper shooting port, and the rest hid in the surrounding woods.

When Airon saw Stevens' nervous expression, he reminded him in a cold tone, "If things are a little different than what you said, then get used to the idea that you'll be the first to die."

"No, it won't be that way." Stevens didn't want to play silly games with these people, as his purpose for now was to free himself from his oppressors.

...

After about ten minutes, loud voices came from the other side of the iron box, especially the voice of a man with a loud voice. By then, Airon and his group were already positioned at different strategic points.

"Stevens! What the fuck is that vehicle?"

After the sound of a vehicle stopped, a group of people quickly exited through the small door in the container, the leader was a short man with messy hair.

After entering towards the guard camp on the bridge, more than a dozen people came out from behind the short man and began to surround the quietly parked modified RV. All sorts of cool weapons and guns in their hands were pointed at strangers next to Stevens.

Airon did not hide like his other companions, he simply stood next to Stevens while the people had arrived as he should have. From first stay the short man looked towards the modified RV and the trucks behind with a rather greedy expression, probably excited about the supplies.

"You don't have good enough weapons to stand up to us, and I doubt they have enough ammunition to kill all of us..."

Airon, though standing to one side of Stevens, had not shown himself towards the short man but still remained in a place where he could see everything at the same time as he stood next to the man who asked for his help.

Looking at Stevens, who glanced to the side from time to time, the expression of the short man showed obvious doubt on his face. But seeing the look on Airon's face, Stevens gritted his teeth nervously, raised the shotgun in his hand sharply and pointed the barrel of his gun at the short man.

"What are you doing you idiot...!"

Just as the short man was about to ask him again about the trucks parked quietly and without a single person, he was confused by the sudden change in things and shouted angrily, "Stevens! What do you think you're doing, are you stupid with no sense of direction?"

"I don't think I'm that stupid, I admire the fact that it was decisive on a special occasion."

Airon then walked towards the stairs down that took him directly to the bridge, as he spoke and walked without apparent fear, the dozen people around him were also confused by how things had unfolded.

Stevens squeezed the shotgun in his hands tightly, and with a retraction of the bolt, the shotgun loaded straight up, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

These people were after all members of Stevens' group working on the bridge and their job right now was to replace the group that was patrolling, only now Stevens' people were gone to warn his people without their enemies being aware of their existence.

Looking at the short man in front of him and at the same time at his acquaintances, Stevens explained loudly to the people around him, "Listen up! I have already discussed the important things with that man. He and his people will help us get rid of Vincenzo and his whole group. Don't do anything stupid and above all, don't get nervous."

A woman holding a gun opened her eyes wide, she couldn't believe that this idiot was willing to trust a group of strangers, thinking about this, her tone of voice was a bit questioning. "How can you trust a bunch of strangers, do you know them?"

Stevens' expression turned a bit fierce and he roared in a deep voice, "Do you have any other way to get rid of Vincenzo? How long do you think we could last with the tortures we're undergoing? About ten more days? You must be aware of the very food we have left, even then we can't get anything out. None of you can guarantee we won't be killed in a few more days!"

The woman was stunned by Stevens' words and couldn't think of a rebuttal for a while. But a light cough interrupted the conversation between the two parties.

"Ahem, everyone, listen to me."

The whole group of people looked at Airon, who had made a sound, but then they saw that this man was pointed all around them. Only then did they realize that a group of heavily armed soldiers had surrounded them at some point, and the power of their weapons formed a strong oppression.

Seeing this, people threw the weapons in their hands and raised their hands almost instantly. Although they did not trust this group of people, they did not want to use the cold weapons in their hands to come face to face with the gunpowder weapons. That was stupid, not brave.

Seeing that the situation was already under control by his own people, Airon stopped wasting time and said directly to these people.

"All right, I'll tell you a little story that will benefit both of us. Stevens hired us to deal with an oppressive group in his group. All those people around you are from my group. As for you, you will have to stay in this place with your hands tied for personal safety."

"How long will it take, Merle?" Airon asked with a smile.

"Half an hour? I hope less, those bastards will test my huge cannon."

Then he turned around and pointed to the modified RV behind him. Everyone followed his gaze. At some point a machine gun had been attached to the roof of the modified RV, protruding two huge cannons.

Then, cars were spotted behind it that also had heavy machine guns on the back. When everyone saw this, they felt a shiver run down their spine. Where did these people come from?

With that kind of firepower, they could solve their Vicenzo group with their eyes closed. At this point, seeing this, no one had any objections, and everyone moved to the side, while Stevens called for a rope and began to tie up the short man who didn't belong to their original group.

"Fucking bastards!"

Seeing that everything here was settled, Airon did not dwell on these things and motioned Stevens to lead the way, and the group moved quickly through the small camp to the other side that led to an island.

...

This island is not very large, but it is actually more than enough for these people on the Island. The reason why their material reserves are getting smaller and smaller is mainly due to the endless waste of Vicenzo and his group.

The tighter the control of activities, the less productive everyone's performance will actually be.

At this point, more than 20 people quickly ran to the island and walked through the forest. They only had half an hour and time was very tight.

Stevens was obviously more anxious due to the fact that his people's lives were at risk, as he ran, he talked about the basic situation of the other party, pointing to a high ground in the distance.

"That's where Vincenzo's settlement is, and our settlement is west of them, in the forest."

"How many entrances are there to get in?"

"Both are guarded, but there are not many guards. There is usually only one person at each entrance, and there is no one in this place except for our people. They usually just need to pay attention to our movements."

"Is there a blind spot to get to more quickly?"

"Yes, but there is a cliff there, which is very dangerous."

After some consultation, Airon discovered that Vicenzo had actually chosen a place that was easy to defend but difficult to attack, but since there was a blind spot, he had a chance to do so without much trouble.

On the other hand, a part of his group was not willing, which caused Airon a strong anger. He had originally chosen the less experienced people to get used to this, but now he had changed his mind.

On the other hand, Michonne asked angrily toward Stevens, "Don't you think this sort of thing should be cleared up first?"

Stevens was a little on edge. He was just thinking about the feasibility of this issue at the moment, but he didn't initially think this whole problem through. Now that he thinks about it, he really regrets not explaining this whole problem in detail.

He is the worst loser among them. These people can just turn around and leave, but he had already conspired against Vicenzo. Now, as long as Airon's group regrets and leaves, when Vincenzo realizes it, he will definitely die.

Looking at Airon firmly, now his fate is in this person's hands.

"Let's go to the other side of the cliff." Airon said without caring much.

Relieved, Stevens didn't dare to delay anything and rushed to the front to lead the way, seeing that the captain had made a decision, the group of people stopped complaining and kept running with a watchful look.

Ten minutes had already passed when the group reached the bottom of the cliff, and they looked at this so-called cliff speechless, it was not as dangerous as the other party said.

Airon looked up. Although the cliff in front of him was steep, it was not too high. In his opinion, it was easy to climb and there were many overhanging rocks serving as support.

Moving the gun back, he said to the people behind, "Give me ten minutes, and then you can go up."

After speaking, he pointed to a path beside him that was clearly cleared by manpower and said, "Remember to watch me climb this place."

"Boss, I'll go with you."

Jon was a little worried, he felt that it shouldn't be a big problem trying to climb up this place, so he suggested accompanying him.

But Airon shook his head and disagreed, he had already walked to the edge of the cliff and started to act.

"Just wait here, following me will only be a waste of time."

A group of people stood at the bottom of the cliff, watching the captain deftly scale the mountain wall with speed comparable to a monkey, Jon sighed secretly, at least he knew Airon well enough to know he wouldn't be in danger.

"Alright, let's go there and wait!" Merle began to move the group, preparing a party in case something unforeseen happened.
